Nice to see you making theese how to vids. I'm currently on my first Cosplay. A Gears of war NCOG Marine Armor for the Gamescom. And you were really helpful cause I was sitting like 2 hours infront of my paper thinking how to bring it in form :D really really thank you two.

Do you have any suggestions for making mockups? I'm working on my first major armor endeavor, N7 armor from Mass Effect, and the pattern came in one size and as soon as I printed it I saw it would never fit someone as well endowed as me, and I know I will need to grade them, but I wanted to see how they might fit as they are. I traced over the original and am cutting out the tracing paper pattern pieces, and the tracing paper is so flimsy I can't drape it over myself or see how it will look in 3d. I've already gone over budget on foam alone, and I don't have enough budget to make a mockup with foam. I have experience period costuming, and I often go through several mockups, but for my period costuming projects I use fabric and I am much better at getting ahold of free or near free sheets or tablecloths than foam, and fabric can be stitched together with a few rough stitches and you'll get an idea of the fit, with foam you need heat and glue. Should I try a cardstock mockup? This is my first time doing a full suit of armor and any suggestions are appreciated!
