@Emma XTC you should watch the video of Marilyn Monroe singing and dancing on stage with a sheer blouse and no bra. I'm convinced she started the thotting behaviors of today's instagram hoes. So from this time (1920's) till Marilyn was shaking those ta-tas on stage (1950's) was only 30 years. That's an extreme change in such a small amount of time.
@@faroahsharp8356 the show is based on irony, drama, what if's, play on today's culture, history, and horror. @Emma XTC to me too, I heard that she was gonna "mumble between 8 or 13 inches of wood" But some of the cast thought that was a little too much and the point was made clearly.

Omg. This show is awesome. Every sketch I’ve seen is amazing. Great writing great observations, great characterizations. These ladies are out-Chappelle-ing Chappelle Show!!! And that’s a high bar! I’m still dying over Robin Thede’s Jacquee Harry impersonation in the “Reboot” sketch (and all the cast’s impersonations in that sketch).
The Hall of Husslery and Scamitude...lol. I love how they blend new age f!ckery with an old era or how a current era would express itself using old lingo (Shakespeare skit).
Diamond Brown it’s a reddening facial power, essentially blush. Though I assume (perhaps I’m wrong) that dark completed skin would get a complimentary rouge. Here she’s using it as a verb.
This sketch has three things that make it awesome: A) Amazingly shot and scored B) Exceptionally well-written, esp. with the phrases/lingo of the times C) Robin Thede ;)
Emma xtc below commented that this sketch should be its own series. That would be awesome! Great way to learn black history and/or history from black perspective with made up dialogue like Drunk History! (Only this sketch went further - no generalized drunk retelling here - really well written making fun of the era’s language, speaking style and morays too and being spot on!). Brilliant.
How great it is to see an all black cast...My parents never saw this growing up. I'm very thankful that I get to witness black talent on TV as will the future generation. 🙌👑❤
@@Jonesybabie Most South African shows never had an all black cast...there was always a mix of people. Mostly they would just include 1 or 2 black people or none at all. Things really changed in the 80's and in that time SA was still in oppression and there not many American shows showing in SA

I think they thought it was going to be goofy ignorant comedy. It’s a brilliant SKETCH comedy show. I love comedy that makes u think.
