Do certain tires wear more than others? Also I’ve seen people use a blowtorch thingy to get all of the stuff out of the tire, does that make them fresh for the next race?

Never seen that in our tracks (the blow torch thing). I'm sure it works, maybe you could tell us how and why the others do it?

Brent Kadler yes! I figured it out. So it’s not something you really need to do, especially in karting. It’s more of an oval racing thing. They use a blowtorch and a putty knife to scrape the tires down to the original surface in order to get marbles of. If they don’t the tires can be really slippery because when the tires are warm the marbles get stuck to them. So it’s to get more grip out of the tires.
