Hey great video! I found one of these today at a thrift shop as well. It was $10. If was still in the box it had been opened but I think that was it! Cords and remote are still sealed in the box and the radio was still wrapped up!!!! Dont know if I want to keep it or flip it!
That's a super deal. Like you said I'm not as much into the digital extras I just want something that sounds good, works on Bluetooth and has jacks on the back that I can use for different things. I'm looking to buy a Sangean right now, most likely the WR-16 with BT although the dark looks of the WR-118 appeal more, it's $20 more. The WR-12 doesn't have Bluetooth but it has two speakers and it allows the tone to be adjusted. There's a newer version that's about $200 and it has added Bluetooth.
It has been a long time since I'v seen Sangeans product lineup, sounds like they have some cool stuff out. I need to go check it out. Great comment and thanks for watching. Cheers
@@breakerbroke23 I just visited their website and there are quite a few different models available. There's even a clock radio with a remote control and it has two speakers, the RCR-20, and newer RCR-40. I'm still scoping their features and reviews. I wanted one with a remote control and this one is not too badly priced compared to the other Sangeans, but I don't think they have as good of features.
Well they go for (new model) around 120-140 dollars. I think if my older unit died today I would more than likely buy the new version, Separate Bass and treble and features I like, the cabinet is beautiful. So yes I would but one new. Are there other rigs out there that give me the same options, probably. BUT... I have owned Sangean radios in the past and have never been let down. And the new rigs have Bluetooth:) Cheers.
Yes yes they are worthy of their price! The WR11 I bought in 2015 is still playing and it's on 5 days a week at an office! The unit is solid, heavy, the dial when you turn has that resistance like a home stereo has where it doesn't just spin. The sound is so smooth! They are the radio's that time forgot in my opinion! Just bought another one tonight the WR-12.
@Roger Diotte I have a Sangean ATS-909X and a Sony ICF-SW 7600 GR and had to admit that Sony has a better AM band and a cleaner signal. Sangean is a nice and strong radio receiver but it has flaws at AM frequencies. No sensitivity like Sony ICF-SW 7600 GR.
@@DIlic-iz9tx AM band, that's something I've never looked back at since way many moons ago. For fun I just tried spinning the dial and there are zero AM stations in my reach. Perhaps attesting to your theory although there are no AM bands in my closest city.
a 3.5mm cable with two male heads, put the one end into the aux port on the radio and the other to the line out or headphone port of the device you wish to output from it.
Nice breakdown thank you! Looking to pick one up tomorrow for an alarm clock.
At 8 dollars... you saved about 132 bucks over new.
i got mine for 20 euros in very good condition, the sound is very clear with enough bass. The only thing i am missing is DAB+
I bought two of these little beauties today for $20. Both work perfect and came with their original remotes. The sound is amazing.
You got a great deal!!!
@@breakerbroke23 I'm quite shocked at how great these sound. I've got a couple bose wave systems and these are very similiar in sound.
Got one today for $12 at an estate sale.
That's one heck of a deal! So jealous.
Cool Radio! $8 Very well spent.

IMO... Keep it! But hey, I'm a hoarder:)
Very intesresting video. I care only about sound quality too. Dont care about gizmo's
What a great deal!
Does anyone know how to attach an AM antenna to this? The only dipole antennas I can find are FM

Nice new intro . Still nothing on FM to listen to but top 40.
Woha , nice grab
which one is better at reception? Sangean Wr-2 or Sangean WR-11?
wait...antenna ground? what's that?
Tell me honestly if that radio is worth as much as it costs in the store. I don't think it's worth it.

How to connect my auxiliary up to my sangean DS table top radio
