Where can you get this trigger?

  • @cashino

Thanks. I currently have Visico 5 and that trigger you have. Plan to buy 2 Visco 4's to complete my light set up. I have heard 4 & 5 versions will all work with the trigger but nice to see the practical example of controlling them all.

    Is this only for canon?

I appreciate it. I was about to chuck mine in the trash when I couldn't get it to change the flash power. I just had to cycle through it as you stated. Thanks fam.

This video is useless to be honest , it defeats the purpose of the trigger. Guessing the power while the strobe is 13ft-15 ft up in the air is pointless. The whole point is to be able to see what's up in the strobe

your absolutely right and in your case you might be financially able to drop the vision 4 and grab a neewer q3 or a godox or other brand that has the ability to see what the flash power is from the trigger. however most people who have already bought into or have vision 4s without knowing that the trigger that standardly comes with it doesn't even give you the option to change the settings without manually pushing buttons on the strobe, this is the next best thing. and sure it does waste time have to do tests shots to get the lighting right but its much easier than having to raise and bring down the strobe for each power adjustment and once your locked in your all set to go unless you move location or the sun sets or rises.

Unfortunately I don't have an answer for you. The hotshoe trigger that comes with the vision 4 uses as basic a connection as possible. Maybe Nikon has gone to a new protocol?

I have the x2t trigger. I would like to get mine to work with that one. My trigger that came with vision 4 is going bad, and really don't want to have to purchase another at the moment. Any luck on yours yet?

Yes, both can be controlled with the transmitter mentioned in the video

This was a surprise find. I've been using the vision 4s and 5 for over a year and often lamented I couldn't control the power levels remotely. The Vision 5 is a better strobe, but they're not selling them anymore in Canada, saying they're discontinued.

How do you control a vision 4 and 5 together? Special trigger or the one that comes with the 4?

    • @fpsmedia3834
      @fpsmedia3834 10 місяців тому

@@Jontheinternet I use the trigger that comes with the Vision 5 (this is also the trigger mentioned in the video)

@@fpsmedia3834 thanks. so the vision 5 trigger works on a vision 4? Or is it in slave mode?
Basically, I want to help my school out (where I work) by doing some team pictures and portraits and am starting out. I got a vision 4. But I'm thinking for a team photo and better portraits I probably need two lights. But I want to control them both. It's good to know the 4 and 5 work. Im trying to figure out what to do

Learning about hss, I'm not sure if j should get one for my second light (maybe an action portrait for fun sports pictures). So maybe I should get a vision 5 or Q and use the 4 and 5 or Q and 5 (but also read the q is on a different frequency)
Do you think one HSS camera isworth getting to pair with the vision 4 (you do much with just one?). Or do you think as I'm still learning - I should just get another vision 4 and not focus on hss yet
Is one Hss good enough for sports portraits?
I'm also guessing that for a group photo I could always use one light as an optical Slave if both can't be controlled by a trigger.
Thanks for your info and Response. I'm a newbie

@@Jontheinternet The 818tx that comes with the vision 5 flash controls the vision 4's also. I have not tried to get the vision 4 trigger to work with the V5. To make them work you have to set the V4 flashes to the right control channel and assign them to a group, a,b or c. Then the 818tx mode for each channel has to be set to M (blank). Then the dial will change the power up or down on the V4 flashes. The flashes will beep when it works. The trigger will not show the power setting, but it shifts the power up or down
