Today i found a ceiling fan dark brown in colour oriental brand may be 15-25 years old? Is it worth buying,seller (shop selling old electronic gadgets).
Was heavy 8-10 kg,center medallion was missing.
Pls guide asking price was ₹1000 negotiated to ₹800.

Hmm, still some fans sold as oriental, I don't. Think that It could be same but It's worth when buying after checking, because many people sell as we don't provide/allow checking but finally it maybe a faulty fan and when we ask them to return they'll tell sorry we can't do that. So, In proper working state it worths upto 800 If it's heavy and medium like Crompton high breeze then worth upto 650
If light or aluminum body then maximum worth maximum 400
In case not working or any major problems we can bargain even by reasoning that (if we strictly want that fan)or better ignore it

@@electrosmartz7131 thanks for advising me,yes the fan was running but bearings seemed to be little jammed,it was quite heavy. What i found was some " jugaar” done.
There were spring washers placed in between both bottom and top cover.

@@ari91629 I see, if spring and washers placed then no issues, but here I saw major jugaar after purchase like inclined shaft, damaged and bent core, replaced lead improperly like shorting to body,etc, but if only bearing just needs replacement means it's better option because most of the fans only has bearings issues.after that it'll be fine 👍.

Yes hub angle is more but there's less angle in blades (flattened),in solan blades, has higher blade angle and has same hub angle
