@AdventureEndeavor If it was "terrible" move to another spot. Yes, I know....1) you were there first 2) its work to move 3) it costs money to move, etc. Seems like you want others to comply with your "etiquette", sleep schedules, pet policies, etc without telling others about it. Listen to your language in the film. You came across as "poor me" with a few excuses of your own. Even you are guilty of "stretching" the written rules. You admitted it by saying you let your dog run off leash. Then you justified it by saying that yours was a small dog, as if that make a difference or is posted somewhere to justify your choice. Full time vehicle livers, (as a group), don't have a great reputation for following rules or contributing to society financially or even environmentally. Yes, I know you do big cleanups. You make sure to brag about it & how "good" you are for doing that. We can all justify stuff to our fans. Many vehicle livers, at least on YT, come across as arrogant, living by their own rules because they think they are superior due to their "freedom". from rent or work. Unless you are in prison, held by force or fear, or there is a reason you are in prison in your own mind then everyone has freedom. Considering that there isn't any kind of fees on most BLM land vehicle livers expect much from others without attempting to get to know people or gently educate them. Do you think your weekend neighbours are watching your YT Channel? Your YT fans already agree with you & you post to gain monetization. Most YTers also also embellish situations to make them more dramatic for increased views. You may have had 3 situations that lasted a total of 15 together & you can make them sound like it was a weekend from hell. Drama sells. Enforcing cleanup, monitoring noise, garbage left, gray/black water & waste disposal, etc costs money. Few people will work for free. Where do you expect that money to come from? How much are you going to contribute? If you want rules then move to a town or place there are some. There are reasons that the States, the Feds & cities, towns, counties are closing down areas to rv's. Check your "entitlement" at the big gas guzzler of an RV door. Many of your replies reek of your perceived "superiority" to anyone who doesn't agree with you. This, also, is typical vehicle liver attitude if someone voices a different view. Not everyone is going to give you the "atta boys" that you crave/want. You can thank me for helping monetize you by replying to your "preaching to the converted" video, but that is doubtful. Instead you will pin it so your converted "fans" will give you more sympathy. Now I know who not to watch. Bye
That's the great thing about social media. It gives everyone a platform. I welcome your criticism, although I might disagree, that's what's great about it. We can have different views and opinions. Obviously you seem a little annoyed with UA-camrs in general, but we are honest and real and we always tell the truth. We appreciate you watching even though it seems like you will not be watching in the future, safe travels to you.
Oh "marigold-m2" you are a perfect example of why UA-cam can be so entertaining. Here you are hiding behind your keyboard and generic name with a total of ZERO subscribers on your month-old page. As you highlighted everyone is entitled to their own opinion and it's clear that yours is locked and will likely allow you to continue to be unhappy and sarcastic for the rest of your life. While it is unclear if you have ever camped a day in your life, I think it is safe to say that the loss of you as a viewer on this page will only benefit the rest of us. Bye
@@AdventureEndeavor YTers tend to forget that everyone in life has challenges. You don't tell the truth by your click bait titles & many of you follow the same story line. It's like you are watching each other to see what gains clicks. It is no different in the keto world. No original recipes out there. Almond flour craze, then keto fry, now cottage cheese. None of you are original. It's like people who continuously brag how "genius" the child or grandchild is. Not everybody's kid is a genius. Not possible. What is truth? If you ask 10 witnesses what they saw at an accident they will give you 10 renditions of everything of colour of clothes, time of day, sequence of events & none of them may match of to a CCTV camera documentation. Most YTers come across as needy & really don't like anyone disagreeing with them. There are a few I like & follow. I'm also not interested in people who whinge & complain nicely about needing money & who I know don't contribute to their community but think they are beating the "system". It's all going to cost us some day. Life is about sharing. Now back to my Apple Torte I make for the neighbours. Many YTers don't understand purpose in life. Now you'll take that idea & make a video on it & pretend like it was your idea all alone. You weren't the first person to be disgusted with other BLM campers & try to "enlighten" us with your knowledge. And you won't be the last. Few original ideas on YT. Pretty interesting state of affairs we've come to when people don't feel they need to contribute to society. Somehow, I feel you will miss the point.
I'm glad you didn't confront them, they could have been packing, and the situation could have escalated into a very bad situation. Thank you for etiquette reminders.❤
Agree 100%. You are a more patient man than I. I will admit I have taken pallets out to the desert to use as firewood but always spent the following mornings pickup nails. Pack out what you pack in is the #1 rule to keep our lands open. Being good neighbors is #2. I admire your life style and appreciate your efforts to clean up after those that are to self centered to see the big picture.
Pallets are tough for me, MOST people don't pick up the nails. Right on for you doing that, one of those wide magnets from harbor freight would work well. We do our best to keep our cool especially with the kids lol
You guys are the most welcoming and chill boondockers on the planet, they had to be a special kind of terrible to annoy you 😂 Also love how you pinned the “Karen of the Forest” comment to the top 😂😂😂
Haha yeah, we feel like we are pretty chill and inviting. This wasn't a great experience. People like to be tough and rude on the Internet, so we might as well give them they views and attention they are looking for.
These are some really valid points. We boon-dock to avoid situations like this. Of course, non of that is kosher in an actual campground either. It’s just a shame that people can’t do the right thing.
Good points. Not everyone is family with boondocking. Many are new and trying to avoid “rules” of campgrounds and don’t think or know certain etiquette. For someone more interested in adventuring into dispersed camping, it’s good to hear about the nuances as well as various considerations so you don’t overstep the unspoken rules or expectations. Some are common sense, some, if inexperienced, need videos like this to point it out.👍🏼
In the Ute National Forest in Utah, burning pallets is punishable by a $25,000 fine. The nails can flatten the tires of fire trucks and equipment used to fight fires.
Don't be too hard on the Forrest service guys. They do have huge amounts of land to cover, are probably dreadfully undermanned, and are just as worried about the sketchy "campers" in the middle of nowhere as we are. I don't blame you for venting though. We all need to sometimes.
I mean I totally get it and all of the actual workers are just trying to do their job and make a wage. I think the problem exists more in the higher ups that just choose to close areas because they can't think of a better solution. They should also look into asking private companies to help there are tons that would be willing to
Forrest Service does have several companies that they contact out to for their campgrounds doing campground hosts who clean pit toilet shelters, collect fees and provide maintenance. But as with any Govt contactor, it lowest bid.
I'm aware of that, but what I'm saying is that they should reach out to private companies that will sponsor clean up events and or maintain areas on the private company's dime that they cannot afford to keep open. Closing recreation areas has a larger impact than people believe it affects companies, off-road camping etc
Thanks that was our thought in making it. Kind of felt like a rant and I didn't know if I wanted to post it but the response is great so far, just trying to spread awareness.
I’m not a boondocker, but I totally agree with everything you’ve stated! I camp in campgrounds and even then I see similar issues. I do use pallets for kindling but I cut them up before leaving home. I also try to be respectful to those camping around me even if they are not. You do have a beautiful spot to camp, sorry you had some bad apples, hopefully it didn’t ruin the experience for you!!
Sad to see so many struggling with all these problems more and more. I think y'all did everything right and agree with all complaints. As soon as someone gives the appearance of being unreasonable, it's a good bet that speaking to them won't help and will probably make things worse. You just can't reason with the unreasonable. They'll either figure it out over time or they'll never understand because they don't care.
Fire rings, fire rings annoying in general, its like a marker, and im forced to camp in a site simply because someone chose to build a fire ring there, i personally use a rough country portable ring now, but even in the past, i always dismantled fire rings, whether i built them or not, leaving trash behind should be a no brainer
Wow! People suck! I wouldn’t have been able to be as chill as you were. I would have been forced to confront them about parking too close, letting their dog run free especially into your campsite and mostly about trashing the place. My wife would’ve been in their face as well. That said, I’m not a tough guy, but would have been compelled to tell them how they’re abusing the privilege of Boondocking on BLM lands. Like “WTF is wrong with you? Are you that stupid and disrespectful?” Sorry this happened to you! We love you guys! PS, my wife Rose told me to tell you that your two children are beautiful! We had a similar situation in Bentonville AR, at a campground. The site next to us was a double tent site. Prior to these guys coming it was a beautiful green grassy area. The next day around 7 guys show up and started setting up three massive tents. One tent was literally touching our picnic table so I said, hey, how are we supposed to eat on it? They said, are you saying we should move the tent? I’m like, duh, yeah! So they did. Just stupid people is all I can say. They had boatloads of room and had zero reason to set up so close to us…just stupid.
I probably would have lost it. You did great. I don’t understand people. You would have seen smoke pouring out of my ears and probably some words I wouldn’t have been proud of
Yeah, mismanage forest fires is for sure a big issue as well. That was not the case here but it does happen very often. Thanks for watching, we really appreciate it
I just left Camp Verde. The site had 2 fire pits. The large one had been used for a long time and nobody cleaned it so it was full of nails, glass, rocks and some very sketchy stuff. I slowly picked up the ash (heavy, so filled plastic bags from grocery shopping). I brought a bunch to the CV landfill- yes I was willing to Pay to get rid of this stuff. They Refused ash! I disposed of a few bags at rest area, but it shouldn't have to be them). I finished picking up that whole pit. I had 18 bags lined up. A forest ranger came by and asked when I was leaving. I said 'today'. I explained about cleaning the firepit and how the landfill wouldn't take it and I didn't know what to do with it. He said "Thank you for picking that up for us! I will get it on my way back out". Ok Thank you. I got tracked down by FS Law Enforcement! They said they had a picture of my truck with all the bags beside it, so the ranger sent it to them, but neglected to tell them about our conversation! So, I got punished for cleaning this crap up. They bully me for cleaning, yey, allow the assholes leaving this shit at sites? How about the RV's staying all summer at spots along I-17 munds park etc? I had been at a spot for less than a week. A white pu with husband and wife, asked me how long I had been here? I told them. They looked skeptical, but I couldn't fivure out why it was a concern for them? Yet the rv across from me, had been there for most of the summer, just moving a few spots away every so often, yet nobody saus anything to him or the others? If they are taking pics of me& my truck, they need to take pics of All vehicles in/out, and hold Everyone accountable! Don't target just one person and bully them because they are the easy target.😢 Sick of being punished for playing by the rules, while others get away with disobeying. It is like they are using 'the bad guys' to prove they need more $$ or funds? Or, are states trying to get blm land shut down so they can sell off lands so they get more tax $$? If so, who is allowing this? So frustrating! Hard to get out to enjoy nature, only to have unruley campers and or selective accountability by FS rangers.
Man, that's pretty wild, first and foremost, thanks so much for cleaning up the public land. So sorry that that played out that way, we did the same ones but we were told we could use the dumpsters at the national Forest building. For us. They held up their end of the bargain and we were able to dump a whole bed full of trash. The government definitely doesn't make it easy to keep our lands open, which is super unfortunate. Are you full-timer?
@@AdventureEndeavor Yes, been on the road for 3 years. This is the first time I have encountered issues on blm land. I was looking for property, but probably won't be az.... It is harder too as I have a cargo trailer. Most RV parks don't allow modified campers now. Plus, the costs are crazy! $30 at State parks with no services? Yikes! Crazy!
Agreed and needed to be said. We hate camping near people all the time. That why we ended up buying an off-road capable travel trailer Imperial outdoors X-195 so we can get away from those type of people as much as possible. Still run into an occasional a-hole tenter or tear dropper, but almost never. We also clean up campgrounds all the time, we have telescopic claws and a telescopic magnet to pick that crap up. Wow, what a concept, the govt to actually enforce already on the books laws, regulations and rules.
Glad you agree. Seems like that's the consensus for most people. I know the rig you speak of it's awesome, we would love something like that. Unfortunately they're just too small for our growing family. We borrowed a Black Series for 6 months and it was rad.
Is it that all ground dwellers and teardroppers are a-holes and you just see them occasionally, or that they are just occasionally a-holes like every one else can be?
@@mikekruse4674 Here in California, we used to run into quite a few squatters, zero common sense, obnoxious, and overall dirty people that like to leave trash everywhere, that is until we got the off-road capable trailer, now we just run into the occasional tent/tear drop person that is loud, obnoxious, and leaves a mess, because most we see are good and respectful campers, because like us, they just want to get away from the people that ruin the experience and have no respect for the BLM or National Forest/park camping areas.
@@G19amc l understand, but I promise that this particular overland capable Tearjerker is respectful of the land and other campers. Most of us are. I sometimes I get a complex with a teardrop a third the size of many RVs. Same goes for my kayaks compared to the motorized watercraft out on lakes. They can be as bad or worse than the neighbors in this video.
We don't live in a civil society anymore. That's the bottom line. This is everywhere. I get as far into the back country as I can get to avoid conflicts, but if you roll in on my camp uninvited, it is not going to end well.
Yeah we like to get back in the Open country as well. But sometimes the areas are small, they didn't technically roll into our Camp. It was just a big open boondocking area. They just camped kind of close. Good insight though
I think y’all handled it well. Just bad luck really. Too bad there aren’t more resources available to properly manage the land. Thanks for picking up the slack!
You did the right thing by not confronting them Best way is to lead by example Good people will see this and want to do better Obnoxious People Won’t Care and are usually looking for trouble 😎🍻
@@AdventureEndeavor lived in AK and Montana most of my life people seemed to be pretty tidy and pick after themselves Hunted around Oregon some That’s where I noticed more of the don’t care attitude
@user-ktm890rider that makes sense! We originally from Southern California so we see it all the time. Unfortunately, we do our best to clean up. We've organized some events in the past as well, but it seems like it's never ending
Everyone complaining that covid campers are ruining everything, these problems have been around forever, i been RVng for 20 years and nothing has changed . It was quiet out there from 2009 to about 2019 , but the same problems have persisted. Most of you are pretty new to RV camping but the RV crowd from around 2002 to 2007 were insane! Everyone in their mothers had money and RVs and all wanted to camp. These crowds come in waves
Definitely a headache. Might be worthwhile to have a few fliers printed with some suggestions for saving access to our natural resources and pay a friendly visit to obvious problem visitors. Say the rangers asked you to share it with other campers/visitors so it doesn't aggravate them toward you if they're real buttheads. You can probably copy something off a web page with the forest service logo or just add the logo to your own list. Might lend a little weight to your suggestions. And thanks for taking part in clean up efforts.
Right on! Just got back from a fishing trip, we only camp out twice per year and everything is a stinking mess these days. In order to have a camp site not far from the lake big enough for 3 large tents we had to clean up a large area. Paper towels that were used as toilet paper were strung everywhere. Cans bottles, gobs of dog crap, you name it, we had to pick it all up. You could tell that it had been there for some time. No wonder no one cleaned it up before we arrived, it was nothing but human and animal filth. On the first night some other camping person yelled at the top of his lungs at 1 o'clock in the morning for about 1 hour and a half. His language was horrid, and his cussing God out was another disgust. The next night someone's propane tank blew. And the 3rd night was a dangerous visit by a bear. When people leave their trash bears learn bad habits. Since that trip we are changing our entire style of camping. And by the way, fishing is another problem. Trash left on the bank, people attempting to fish right next to you. NO WAY! It is flat RUDE to impose upon people like that. I'm 75 and don't take kindly to this kind of intrusion. So glad that others feel the same way. Better enjoy it while you can because these idiots are going to ruin it for all of us.
I agree it's getting very bad, we are doing our best to spread the word through our UA-cam channel. We have done a bunch of cleanups in the past and would love to do another. It's just a lot of work personally, especially having two kids and all. I feel like it would have been very different if they would have introduced themselves and maybe introduce the dogs, what do you think?
Yes it works quite well. Harbor freight sells a couple different ones we need to pick one up. It's hard to carry this item being fulltime but it will definitely be nice to have
I avoid all holiday time periods and many camping areas just for the reason that turds like that frequent them. I used to love going to Pismo, but I knew it was going to get shut down eventually as all the turds just trashed it every holiday weekend. There are a lot of miserable people out there that dont care about anything. It will catch up to them eventually. I do keep ear plugs in my gear just for such turds as well.
Yeah I agree with you, we typically try to get setup for 2 weeks before any holiday and try to pick a non popular place if possible. It's slightly different being fulltime.
Yeah I guess maybe we were being nice as far as calling it. Poor etiquette. Do you think dog would be off leash would be okay if they came and introduced them and they all got along good?
Most dogs aren’t required to be on a leash in most national forests, BLM land, wilderness areas, etc. As long as it’s an unimproved area, voice control is the standard. You should read the signs and check the websites to help with your confusion. Sometime leashes are only required on specific trails, etc. While I agree that in this situation it was rude, your expectation is not in line with the rules. Dog owners like myself go out there specifically for this freedom. If you are scared of dogs, stay in areas where leashes are required. There are plenty of places you can explore that do require dogs to be on a leash.
@@AdventureEndeavorof for sure I 100% I just want this guy to know his expectations may not apply in all areas. From the comment its sounds like he just hates dogs.
@@DanaSelles we have a dog and 2 cats that travel with us. 9/10 dogs come into our space -no owner no leash. Recently, one Doberman, one golden and one husky… yeah, no owner anywhere!
We've been RVing full time for 3 yrs and using public lands for hunting forever and we can't agree more with you on all of these. The language around kids, the trash, being woken up, the dogs! Dogs off leash and coming into camp is so inconsiderate. Don't blame you for making this video for one bit. Everyone should watch it.
Hi from Quebec. I have been full timing for 7 years, and I boondock in the southwest US deserts all winter in my homebuilt cargo trailer to RV conversion. If I am boondocking and someone comes and parks close to me it tells me one of two things. Either the person is new to the environment and doesn't know any better. Or the person is a bit scared of boondocking, and sees my RV as some kind of security blanket. Or, the person is just an inconsiderate dick, and doesn't care it they are intruding on your privacy. Fortunately, in the vast majority of cases, it is the first or second reason and not often the third. Two years ago I was parked in a tiny spot in Escalante National Monument in southern Utah. No other RV in sight, with my Golden Retriever running free as usual. A big 5th wheel appeared about 1/2 mile away, and a guy got out and took a bike off the trailer and pedaled my way. When he arrived we exchanged pleasantries. Just when I thought he was on his way, he announced that he and his dad and his dog would be pulling their RV in to share my tiny spot. This would have put his RV literally 5 feet away from mine, out in the middle on nowhere, with no other RVs in sight. Could he legally do this? Yes. Would he be a complete and total a__hole for doing so? Yes again. Being nice but very firm I told him that the reason that I am out in the middle of nowhere alone is that I don't want any neighbours, and if I did, I would be in an RV park. I told him that my dog is not leashed, and while very obedient, his joy at his freedom while out here is one of the great pleasures of being out here alone. I told him I did not want to seems unfriendly, but I did value my privacy. Fortunately, he was slightly miffed, but pedaled away and did not return. If he would have, then I would have left rather than deal with the serious tension of him and his dad and his dog being almost inside my RV for who knows how long. This guy was probably a nice guy, but just a bit clueless. I am probably now a story he tells of the rude guy that he found out in the middle of nowhere who did not want him around. Too bad. I think it did open his eyes a bit, and I bet he thinks twice before inviting himself into someone else's campsite while boondocking.
Yes, it is kind of strange. Technically they can park right by you. We don't have issues often but this one really bugged us for some reason. Hopefully sharing this video will spread the message about some etiquette and packing out all trash. That's so cool. You have a built out cargo trailer. Is there any end in sight for full timing for you?
@@AdventureEndeavor Yes I often pack out trash from other campers on BLM land..often broken glass from drunken parties, with some of the broken bottles likely being from the 1950s. I am in good health and have no plans to stop RVing and boondocking. I am an astrophotographer, and seeks out the emptiest and darkest corners of the desert I can find. Two years ago I got Starlink for internet, and now there is nowhere I can't go that does not have high speed internet. It has tripled the size of my desert playground in the winter. In summers I am here on my bush lot in Quebec. I have 2050 watts of solar panels and 900 amp hours of LiFePO4 batteries. A full sized 120 volt home refrigerator with drawer freezer and ice maker, compost toilet. On demand propane water heater on the bathroom wall for long hot showers, and a 100 gallon fresh water tank in the bed of the Ram that takes seconds to connect to the water inlet in the V nose of the trailer. Big Buddy heater tied into the RV propane line, and a propane oven/stove from a 5th wheel RV. No RV park fees, no RV repair shops, no dump stations. And as you know, I get to camp for two weeks at a time in some of the most spectacular places in the country for free. So much of my lifestyle is made possible by the solar panels capturing sunlight that was just going to hit the ground anyways. Gotta love both solar power and Starlink internet!
Keep up the rant over this issue.... Its hard to beat the stupid out of people and what i have found, stupid is getting worse. To my favorite place i bring along a bucket and trash stick to do my part and clean up the area, i really wish that the operators of the lake would make it mandatory to be registered to the site you are camping in. This way if it gets trashed it can be traced back to the camper and they are fined or banned from the area.. We all know stupid is currently running wild in our country but don't give up, keep ranting...
Thanks for helping keeping places clean! We'll do our best to keep spreading the message! We have a trash picker upper as well, but a 5 gallon bucket would be a nice addition! The idea of registering is great but I don't believe it would work, the usfs already doesn't enforce rules or patrol often enough lol
Sorry this happened. When I boondock, if I so much as see another rig, I keep it moving. I would never share a spot, EVER! That’s not why I’m out there. That being said, I’m out there for me and my dogs to enjoy ourselves, so absolutely no leashes. They have e-collars, but I’m not in the middle of nowhere to keep my dogs on a leash. I agree that in your situation the dog should have been leashed because you guys were parked so close you might as well have been in an RV park. However, I want people to understand that in many parts of national forests and wilderness areas, the rule is that the dog must be under voice control. Yes, it can vary from district to district, but the general rule is that if it’s an unimproved area (i.e., no families, toilets, pavement, etc.), then it’s voice control. So, while it’s rude what they did, depending on the district, they might not have been breaking any rules. I’m saying this because more and more, BFE (middle of nowhere) is the only place where dogs can enjoy freedom, and there’s nothing worse than people bringing their city expectations to the backcountry. It’s one of the only places where dogs can truly be dogs.
Totally agree, there are times when that's not an option to be super far away from everyone. Especially as fulltimers, what type of collar do you use? You pup is great off leash but has a bad prey drive.
@@AdventureEndeavorI use the Garmin E-collar sport pro. I have 3 dogs and you can control up to 3 dogs . I have 2 GSDs and a 80lb mix I found in the desert. We hike a lot so they are pretty good at staying near by. I do carry leashes with me in case we are on a tight trail and we run into pack animals. I also worry about them spooking horses. Over all the e-collar works great and they stop if they start chasing a squirrel or something. I really do try and be courteous but every now and then there is someone who get bent because they expect dogs to be leashed like we are in the city.
I like the way you presented this. At first blush I was almost on the side of the Karen guy below. Maybe he didn't watch it all like I did. After more thought ... you could have shot video of the rig with poor manners. But you chose not to directly call out someone. That would not have been cool. Instead you described examples of their poor etiquette, and also why it is poor behavior, and by doing so maybe others can learn how to be better neighbors. Yeah, you're complaining, but you still get a LIKE from me.
Thanks for the great comment. Honestly, I do not consider myself a complainer or a Kevin LOL but I think having a little etiquette goes a long ways. I appreciate you watching and I appreciate the like

Oh man, that sucks. Terrible parenting in my opinion. And terrible pet owners. We definitely don't do anything like that and we prefer boondocking to avoid that as much as possible. I would imagine you're mostly out west?

This spot was actually fairly remote on a washboard road. Surprised there were so many people out there. Probably because it was close to Colorado springs
The most frustrating thing about this video are the people who are upset that you spoke up about this. Excuse me sounding like a hippie for a second, but I'm looking forward to using BLM land to my advantage. But I am accustomed to a country that punishes everyone for poor conduct of one. What will happen if the government/ owners of BLM land made videos or complaints like this?
The whole point of this video is to spread awareness to make sure people know the proper rules in etiquette and clean up. We cleaned up their mess and left it better. So therefore the government has no room to complain. Wouldn't you agree?
@@AdventureEndeavor Absolutely! Thank you for this video! I'll do my best to follow you guy's lead in good camping etiquette when my family and I go full-time!
Lol these people seemed very unstable and it wasn't worth the confrontation. When they first got there I did approach them very kindly and asked whether their off-leash dog was friendly and stated that I was checking because we have small children (whom we are careful to keep an eye on of course). The dog itself was very sweet and kind, so it being off leash was not the problem. My problem was them literally screaming vulgar swear words at their sweet, goofy dog because it kept wandering out of camp and also getting into their own trash bags. You see the issue? 😂
My daughter was attacked by a dog last month by someone who insisted their dog would never hurt anyone. She ended up in the ER. Please stop thinking you're so smart or cool or whatever other stories you've created about yourself.
Oh got it. You think I'm the Karen? LOL. Personally I just don't like people trashing public land and leaving trash everywhere. Kind of makes me feel like you don't care about nature at all. Is that the case?
😃🤣
nice book, you clearly need a hobby!!
I'm glad you didn't confront them, they could have been packing, and the situation could have escalated into a very bad situation. Thank you for etiquette reminders.❤
That was our thought exactly. Thanks for the great comment. We appreciate it
Absolutely 100% support you on this!!!
We tried to play cool. But deep down we were very frustrated LOL
I totally agree everything you said right to protect your family first. ❤
Thank you! Would have probably been different if it was just the two of us
Yeah, same, this was definitely the worst neighbors we have had! We almost boondocking exclusively
Some are common sense, some, if inexperienced, need videos like this to point it out.👍🏼
Glad you found it helpful. It's just about being a good neighbor and person no matter where you are. Thanks for watching!
In the Ute National Forest in Utah, burning pallets is punishable by a $25,000 fine. The nails can flatten the tires of fire trucks and equipment used to fight fires.
Personally I don't get it, just get some fire wood....
Ohhh man Jesse... 😬 anxiety level rising for sure! 🤣 Glad it was a short stay for them... and you guys!
You guys would have hated the dog off leash! Some people just don't care.
So true!! Great video to share hopefully people learn from this.
Itlf you use pallets the correct way they are fine. Didn't ruin our experience, just had to modify and make it work lol
That was our thought, it's definitely a tough spot to be put in. Thanks for chiming in.
New subscribers here and people need to hear what your saying
Thanks for subscribing! We will try to be louder about this message. In general, we love boondocking and hate seeing these places get destroyed
I get what you are saying about the fire ring, they just didn't need to make anymore. They make some pretty cool portable fire pits
Watch out for nails with no shoes on. Great video true points.
Right haha I realised that as i was filming...
Thanks for the kind words about it kids, we might have had a different reaction if it were just us.
I probably would have lost it. You did great. I don’t understand people. You would have seen smoke pouring out of my ears and probably some words I wouldn’t have been proud of
Haha thanks Amy, have to keep it cool for Linc, he's copying everything right now.
@@AdventureEndeavorya that’s good motivation
Totally agree. People can be so disrespectful of our earth and of others. I would add the danger of forest fires by poorly managed fires. 🙄
Yeah, mismanage forest fires is for sure a big issue as well. That was not the case here but it does happen very often. Thanks for watching, we really appreciate it
I cringe when the weekend comes….what’s it gonna be…. Then they all leave on Sunday afternoon, ahhhh~ ❤
We totally agree. Weekends get pretty rowdy. As a full-timer. We try to move on Mondays or Tuesdays. What is your typical go-to as far as moving day?
@@AdventureEndeavor same Same - mon- wed for moving. And we are full time also.
Nice
Don't target just one person and bully them because they are the easy target.😢
Sick of being punished for playing by the rules, while others get away with disobeying.
@@AdventureEndeavor
Yes, been on the road for 3 years. This is the first time I have encountered issues on blm land.
I was looking for property, but probably won't be az....
It is harder too as I have a cargo trailer. Most RV parks don't allow modified campers now. Plus, the costs are crazy! $30 at State parks with no services?
Yikes! Crazy!
@birdlady2725 that's awesome, but yeah parks are ridiculous! Safe travels thanks again for trying to do the right thing.
@G19amc We are very familiar. We originally from Southern California and have camped all over
@@G19amc l understand, but I promise that this particular overland capable Tearjerker is respectful of the land and other campers.
Yeah totally agree, it's in the people to keep it clean. Also such a bummer that they close things without a plan to reopen.

Thanks Bill! I know you've been following us a long time. You know how we feel about public lands, you got to take care of them.
You're absolutely correct
Everyone complaining that covid campers are ruining everything, these problems have been around forever, i been RVng for 20 years and nothing has changed . It was quiet out there from 2009 to about 2019 , but the same problems have persisted. Most of you are pretty new to RV camping but the RV crowd from around 2002 to 2007 were insane! Everyone in their mothers had money and RVs and all wanted to camp. These crowds come in waves
We have been fulltime for 5 years I agree. Definitely coming in waves I think the covid boom is gone or at least slowed down substantialy, thoughts?
Definitely a headache. Might be worthwhile to have a few fliers printed with some suggestions for saving access to our natural resources and pay a friendly visit to obvious problem visitors. Say the rangers asked you to share it with other campers/visitors so it doesn't aggravate them toward you if they're real buttheads. You can probably copy something off a web page with the forest service logo or just add the logo to your own list. Might lend a little weight to your suggestions. And thanks for taking part in clean up efforts.
That's not a terrible idea, I'll definitely look into it. It's tough actually dealing with the forestry, we have tried with our previous cleanup.
@@AdventureEndeavor actually I wouldn't even bother talking with the forest service.
I just plan on doing it on my own.

Yeah exactly
I agree with you 100%.
Some people were just not raised right
I totally agree, definitely trying to teach my kids how to treat nature!
Is it possible to use a strong magnet to get the pallet nails even if burned?
Hands down off leash dogs isn’t poor etiquette, it is an FU -entitlement. It is my worse fear as a solo camper.
@DanaSelles I think if your dogs no commands and do what you tell them to do no problem with them being awful leash that wasn't the case for us
@@AdventureEndeavorof for sure I 100% I just want this guy to know his expectations may not apply in all areas. From the comment its sounds like he just hates dogs.

We definitely need to explore that area!
@headdown1 awesome! We love our solar, starlink and composting toilet. Maybe we'll cross paths at some point!
@@AdventureEndeavor Great minds think alike. :) Maybe see you out there!
Could someone show this to the jerks who left all their garbage on mt. Everest.
Haha right!
@DanaSelles that's rad I'll have to look into it, ours is great on trails stays right on our heels besides that prey drive! Thanks for the tip
Man, that did not sound like a good neighbor!
Not at all haha it happens
I appreciate you watching and I appreciate the like
Sounds like they don't know how to back in a trailer.
😃😃😃😃 that's possible lol haha
I started offroad dispersed camping to get away from ALL of these reasons, drinking, smoking, partying, DOGS, and sorry toddlers and babies, I go out to the forest for peace and quiet not all this disruptive bullshit
And for reals, the name angry camper is the product of camping in campgrounds with these types of idiots.
Haha I get it, we started as truck campers but found a good balance for our family. Totally get, getting away from crying babies haha we try to keep them quiet within reason.
@@AdventureEndeavor We had some people at a campground a few years ago, show up and toss their 9 month old in a playpen and both run off to the bathroom and leave their baby SCREAMING in the playpen, assholes, they were assholes. then as soon as they packed up and left the next day, more assholes with two little nonstop barkies showed up, I had to yell out my tent at 2 AM for the dogs to STFU, it was not pretty, after that, started OVERLANDING and never a campground again!!
Oh man, that sucks. Terrible parenting in my opinion. And terrible pet owners. We definitely don't do anything like that and we prefer boondocking to avoid that as much as possible. I would imagine you're mostly out west?
@@AdventureEndeavor We are out in Northern Cali, but hoping to leave to a state with better political leanings ;)
I don't understand why people can't have any common sense or common courtesy.
Yeah I'm not sure, the way they were raised? We already have Linc picking up trash he loves it lol
OH!! and always leave your site better then u found it, even if it pains you to pick up other people's ignorance...
EXACTLY Stacy! We clean the best we can, it was how we were brought up and what we are teaching our little ones! We appreciate you watching and we'll keep spreading the message!
@@AdventureEndeavor I have a laser engraver and have made up a little suggestion in the form of a lengthy paragraph that i engrave on clean block of burnable wood. I leave it behind when i pack up, basically a clean up when your done ,rant!! I do make note in that rant, to teach your kids not to throw trash on the ground.. We were south of Poncha Springs 2nd week of july, place was fairly clean except for a frying pan that was thrown off to the side, pan was tossed in the truck for recycling... We are in NE Kansas, hit us up if your passing through..
@stacyrethman9532 that's a great little idea. Maybe I'll pick one up, would be a fun project for Lincoln once he's a little older
sounds like entitlement to me, I despise people like that, sadly, they think the world owes them ,,and they think that other people should look out for their kids and pets, once they get out in the woods ,,kids and pets literally fall out of the vehicle and off they go, no discipline or anything, and God help you if you say anything, to them about their perfect kids and pets, I think you were totally in the right,,
Thanks, that's why we didn't bother saying anything. What makes people this way? Upbringing?
Boondocking. A word city people use who dont know anything
its just camping. Who wants to be within half a mile minimum of anyone else. This isnt camping its living in a dirt parking lot
That's the sad thing. People who overuse/misuse the land are the ones whose behavior leads to it getting closed down.
The clean ups u do is good but if ur scared to confont them in person U just sound like a Kevin by posting this
Yeah cause getting in a fight over trash is super smart 🤓
I don't really understand your comment. We're cool for a story we created? I'm just confused by your comment.
Karen of the forest!
@soulcritic are you referring to us?
@@AdventureEndeavor I'm not referring to them!
Oh got it. You think I'm the Karen? LOL. Personally I just don't like people trashing public land and leaving trash everywhere. Kind of makes me feel like you don't care about nature at all. Is that the case?
@@AdventureEndeavor Leaving a pallet for the next camper to use as fire wood is hardly trashing the forest!
@Soulcritic pallets are trash. A nice stack of fire wood with no nails would have been fine, also left a bunch of trash in the fire pit....🤔
