I want a conker or Banjo sequel so bad. I wish I was born in the timeline where Nintendo kept Rare.
Nintendo should've bought Rare in the early '90s when Nintendo had plenty money to spare. Buying them in the N64 or especially the GameCube era would've been a risky move since Nintendo was more strapped for cash then.
The fans want another Banjo game, all the original developers want a new Banjo game, hell even Nintendo might want a new Banjo game. The ONLY party that doesn't want a new Banjo game is Microsoft. They say if the fan interest is there then they'll do it. The funny thing about that is the fan interest has BEEN there for 20 DAMN YEARS!
What's the point of them even owning Rare and their game licenses if they aren't going to do anything with them??

It wasn't a sequel because it didn't continue the story. All it did was add more plot points to tie up while not adding to the first few. there are now 2 canonical universes that happen now. plus it wouldn't be a half life 3 for a sequel it would be half life 2 episode 3.

I think a new Punch-Out game could do a Mario Kart sort of thing where it’s mostly unique boxers, but there’s like a “Throwback Circuit” that remastered a bunch of the old ones. That’d be a way to create new content, but also appeal to old Nintendo fans.

I would absolutely love a Punch-Out PREQUEL.
Doc's backstory is that
1) He was an ex-heavyweight champ
2) He invented the Star Punch
So how about we get a game focusing on Doc's rise to becoming the Champ and how he invented the Star Punch. Could see his Coach and how they had a similar relationship like he has with Mac in the present. You could even frame it that Doc is telling the full story of his career to Little Mac during his training before the events of Punch-Out Wii.
I think it would be awesome and more interesting then either somehow doing a sequel story, redoing NES again, or redoing Super.

I'll just throw this out here:
I would love a crossover between Doom, Wolfenstein and Duke Nukem. A game with a ridiculous story about Nazi aliens from hell who can only be stopped if Duke, Doomguy and B.J team up. Pump up the humor and have Duke be the snarky one, B.J the serious "straight man" leader and Doomguy basically be their Hulk. Call it something like 'Tools of Destruction' and have it be an fps with co-op as an option.
I would totally play that.
Also, maybe they could poke fun at Duke's reboot didn't do so well as Doom or Wolfenstein and have Duke be aged up as a "has been": beer gut and receding hairline would do the track, but maintain his firm belief that he is God's gift to women. Maybe also make him sympathetic by having some narrative about him wanting to achieve past glory while trying to find his own voice instead of quoting movies way older than the women he dates.
As for Doomguy being their wildcard, have him be completely mellow when not in combat. Maybe like the killer from the Fargo movie.
Last thing, for a theme song they could go with 20th Century Boy by T Rex to highlight the machismo and self-aware tone. Nothing says testosterone-filled manly man like a song from Billy Elliot.

Killjoy McQuire, I would like to inform you of change.org if you are not aware. I believe that it would be a great launch title for the PS5, the next Xbox, and the new Nintendo. This would be a great finish for the PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch libraries. Maybe a Limited Run Wii U limited edition with figurines that are limited edition amiibos with special features in that version only and a bonus Blu-Ray with marketing, a screenshot of the Limited Run page for the game, advertisements, and behind the scenes. And amiibo support for Nintendo branded copies, and whatever for the others. I feel that this has lots of potential, so DLC will be a must. And these are my ideas for promoting this game. I may not have any influence, but let someone who does promote it and a KickStarter and/or a Patreon.

Mario 2 simply happened within a single night between the two, and maybe 3 was a theatrical play written to commemorate the events of 1 at the castle.

Andrew Smith finally someone gets it
William Fogle Right?! Sluggers (as far as I know) is the only one to have a story mode with fully explorable locations. Recruiting team members and completing challenges was so much fun! Not to mention the unreal amount of characters. And beyond that, baseball is just a much more involved and large scale sport than tennis or soccer. Each game feels like a big event rather than just a match.
And I'm pretty sure it's impossible not to get up and dance whenever you change sides. The music in Mario Super Sluggers is beyond perfection.

I’d buy that. I actually thought of this as a kid, along with wanting to have Luigi as a partner for Mario. If I remember right, I think there was one partner for Luigi that said he only stuck around to get revenge on Luigi? I think there’d be some funny scenes you could craft with Luigi as the hero...

Mario and luigi, I personally like that they did backwards compatability with superstar saga, partners in time should have been remade instead of or in addition to bowsers inside story. Dream team is pretty cool, just the tutorial is too long and you can't skip cutscenes. Paper Jam, idk. I hope they re-release all the games on switch whether in one collection, two, or 5 indivual releases. I feel like the problem with Mario RPGS in general is they're based on gimmicks.

@@sneeb271 Paper Mario for the first two titles didn't have a gimmick. It was just a Mario RPG with a paper aesthetic, which is why it was charming. Super Paper Mario has a bit of a gimmick, but it's still charming and has great story. After that the Paper Mario games are paper first and RPG third. All about shoving into your face that this is PAPER Mario. Oh look it's Scissors because this is PAPER! Tiring.
At least we have Bug Fables, which is so much better than any previous Mario RPG gamrs

Punch out is one of my absolute favorite series of all time I would love to see a good sequel come to the switch
I think it would be cool to see a punch out game where Little Mac was coaching a new boxer or something as a way to make it more of a direct sequel that‘d be neat
