- Darts guns, there are really only two in the game, the dart pistol, dart rifle and if you include the blowpipe and blowgun that's still only four in total. Let's also be honest here, they're a bit lacking when it comes to damage and visually a bit boring. Well in this video I installed a mod that adds a whole bunch of dart guns for both pre-hardmode and hardmode with each one having their own unique effects. This mod also includes new ammunition and accessories. The question to ask now is, how good are these weapons, are they strong enough to defeat the final boss Moon Lord and will I be able to collect all the weapons needed for the zenith dart gun. There are definitely some parts of the mod which need ironing out: especially the balancing during certain stages.
As others have pointed out, the Katanakaze parry didn't work as the dark caster projectiles are actually NPCs internally. The FFAD85 error is actually supposed to be a hex code for coloring tooltips, which I'll fix. Shotguns are a personal favorite of mine but I might need to tone down the recoil a bit . . .
For anyone looking to play the mod: I'd recommend the reworked crystal darts, which are quite satisfying to use.
I spotted two ultrakill references in this mod, i shall play it. Oh, also a soul knight one. Neat.
For the Styx’s sound effect did you use the horror meme tiktok sfx from the prowler’s theme just wondering
I honestly think this is one of the coolest weapon addition mods. It fits, is thematic, and especially the weapons are unique, interesting and have really cool effects. Ngl I was really impressed, good job!
Amazing job on this mod, you have cooked one of the best mods i have seen in a while ❤❤❤, on side note, if you are going to balance things out please don't change the effects of the vortex weapons, those are amazing and super funny to play, honestly i play with those even after crafting the Styx wich is awesome but laks a bit of... I don't know how to put it...spark? It doesn't feel funny to play with it, at least not on the same amount as with the vortex ones, just wanted to say that, again an amazing and really great work, i'll want to see what other mods you make in the future.

Him not making any ranger armor through entirety of pre-hardmode was so frustrating ngl... WHY YOU DIDN'T MAKE ANCIENT FOSSIL OR NECRO ARMOR WHYYYYYY
Necro makes necro armor
Because ranger armor only gets usefully during hard mode whilst in pre hard mode it's alot more worth getting the defense rather than getting slight boosts towards damage
@@subject1261 it is a significant boost in damage, ancient fossil armor has decent defense, ancient cobalt armor has barely few points more than fossil armor, not to mention that it is A MAGE armor, Necro armor has both more defense a significant boost to ranger stats

Antient fossil armor is kinda annoying to het but I have no idea why why he didn’t made Necro Armor, tho

A lot of players have this misconception...
Hostile Waterbolts...believe it or not.... Isn't actually a projectile...it's an type of "enemy" that pretends like a projectile
Same as the firballs from the imps, vile spits, and shadowflame balls
That's why you can hit it/"kill" it, but you cannot destroy true projectiles like arrows, darts, lasers, and more
So katanakaze only works when you hit TRUE projectiles, and not pseudo projectiles
This is correct, though I can add special cases for these "projectiles"

@48:55 the FFAD85 is hex code for a color. Looks like they intended the "Stellar Slashes" text to be colored and just typod the code.
That is indeed correct. I'll fix that up soon.
Fun fact:
The only vanilla darts that exists are poison darts (crafted from stingers)
Ichor darts (crafted from ichors)
And cursed darts (crafted from cursed flames)
(And also dart crystals that are made out of crystals but i forgot to mention it before, thank you itstruce.)
It's quite interesting that the mod changed their recipes
They didn't change their functionality tho but it's alright since those vanilla darts are already good by their own

I will say these videos are so cool and satisfying to see. Now I wanna play Terraria again, wonder if it’s possible that a Trap based video. As in you can only kill things with traps and if there’s a mod that makes traps to even hurt bosses.
Edit: let’s say if you do actually use this idea, I’ll allow the use of Shuriken, Throwing Knives, spikey balls and sticky explosives to have a chance since they technically like traps.

Base game Dart rifle and pistol are devastatingly powerful for mech bosses, Cursed or Crystal darts for Destroyer, depending on wheher you're struggling with the drones or not, Cursed to apply status then Crystal for homing on Twins, and the Same for SP.
The FFAS85 is a terraria code that makes your text a color the developers probably wanted to make the Stellar Slashes text some kind of color

Darkcasters projectiles have npc ids and not projectile ids
and so do goblin sorcerers and fire imps "projectiles".
Basically, a bunch of the caster type enemies summon entities that fly at the player, instead of projectiles. I am confused by why they work like that too. It's like the projectiles in Minecraft, but in a game with a serperate projectile type.
