i need a shotgun for recording corporate videos for training and onsite lectures. You are the first person that has reviewed this mic and actually mentioned the gain control and demonstrated it! Thank you! Even though most of my videos will be less then 20' from the presenter, i can tell that at the first mark it sounded great and would be fine for my needs. I mainly use my wireless lavalier plugged into a Zoom handy so this is just a back up in case there is an audio issue with the wirelss setup or in case the presenter isnt comfortable wearing a mic. I will be going out to buy one.

You want to set the mic's gain as high as it can go and then adjust your camera's gain as low as you can so you get less noise

Sounds good. Its a shame that the foam screen and the windsock together still didnt cut out all the wind noise.

That shock mount looks similar to a Rode SM3-R. I haven't seen Comica selling this mount independently. I wish they did.
