Just a short update after almost 2 years. This is still the best Hex I have owned. Still works perfectly and is responsible for my 5 Band DXCC and used for most contests Thank you Ken WB8PKK
Ken how long are the spreaders and how much does it weigh? When you were putting it together, was it just sitting on the orange bucket? Thank you Tom K1cxs
@@thomashenderson603 when they were properly curved upwards it was about 11 ft center to end. Weight was about 15 lbs. The exact info is on the VHQhex website.
I am glad you are enjoying your Hex BEAM Antenna. It looks like it's built like a tank. 73 AE4OY William Peacock EM-81UF SOUTH EAST GEORGIA (OLDYELLA)😎
Ken, What do you recommend for a rotator for the hex, I been using the yaesu G450. but it died, not sure because it was defective or maybe undersize. Thanks Tom K1CXS
Ken, I have my vhqbeam Assembled. I'm putting on the support ropes, I see the long one goes on the top, do you know approx where the other two go? 6 meter and 10 meter are tight, but the others are loose. Thanks Tom

@@vhqhexbeamassembly906 have you used it on 2 meters? I’m thinking if I got the hexbeam, I wouldn’t need a 2 meter yagi.
It worked ok on 2. I still used my separate 2/440 antenna
@@vhqhexbeamassembly906 Ok, I was planning on using a M2 2mx9 with it. Thank you for all of your help~ -Tom K1cxs

Whoops.. Noticed your center hub is turned around 180 degrees.. Feed cable goes up the back side. ..Should work that way I guess. 73
