I love pickled eggs. Toast top split hotdog buns, spread a bit of mayo add the eggs sliced with some of the Goodies n sprikle with celery salt. Sooooooo good!!!! I make mine with pickling spice n onions n white vinegar.
The last time I made pickled eggs I kinda cheated. I snack on a lot of pickles so I saved the juice from my favorite pickles then add my garlic n onions and boild eggs. Made over a gallon jug full. It took my son 2 months to eat them all.🥰🥰
My husband and I pickle eggs, gizzards, cucumbers, asparagus, green beans and most recently pickled bologna! Pickled bologna is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!!
I have some in my fridge right now ❤️👅 Eggs are easier to peel if you put them in already boiling water for 10 minutes and shock them in ice water. And I also eat the peppers and onions. Awesome in salad. And yes you can make any hard boiled egg recipe with pickled eggs. Salad, deviled, whatever you want. Sliced in a salad, anything.
Jalapeño jam? Yes please! Speaking of thumbprints, what about a biscuit dough that you could make into thumbprints and fill with your jalapeño jam? Get busy Chef, we are counting on you!❤️
Here is something you can do with your hot pepper jelly....take a block of cream cheese and lay it on a plate, pour your jelly over it, and serve with your favorite crackers. I do this at Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner because my kids and some of my grandkids love it.
If you touch your eyes with pepper juice you rub somebody’s hair on your eyes and it’s gone no more pain if there nobody around our milk and no more pain I like beet juice you buy and eat the beets and you put the boiled eggs in it put it in the icebox for severely days and it’s very pretty and you can make devilsed eggs with the pickle eggs I done it before
Fiberspider, 2 things...1) when cutting your veggies, hold that thumb on you left hand up like you would hold your pinky up while drinking tea....safety first....2) my mom always saves the jar of pickle juice.....she drops green beans or pearl onions or baby corns in there....save your favorite pickle juice and jar so you can pickle anything you like....my memaw loved pickled asparagus and zucchini
Oh boy! Oh joy! I just bought 2 doz eggs and I know what I’m going to do tonight. Thx Craig for the courage to try new things. My mouth was watering watching you taste that egg!
Oh , honey< you need to slice the onions finer because pickled onions are great on sandwiches. Same goes for the peppers. I take pickled jalapenos , chop them up and put in cheese sauce for a dip, or make spicy mac n cheese. I make pickled eggs together with pickled beets and onions. this is an oldtime southern treat. Keep on cooking and I love love love your videos.
They look delicious..we use to get them in the fish and chip shop where I lived in the UK many years ago. I think they were pickled in malt vinegar and had pickling spices added ..I really like pickled eggs, going to try this recipe..thanks for sharing it.
So far this year, I have canned blueberry, blackberry, strawberry and plum jams. Strawberry and plum have been my favorites. I've made orange marmalade in the past and it wasn't my favorite. Next up is preserved pear halves and peach jam, which I made two years ago and it was AMAZING! I'm going to have to try these refrigerator pickle eggs too. Can't wait to see what you do next
I love that you focus on classic foods in the kitchen. It really goes with your vibe (: Would love to see other classics like macaroni salad, divinity, that jello & whip cream w fruit dessert...
We love pickled eggs! I add beets to my jar & the juice to pickling brine.(sometimes). I always take the first layer of onion off. Sometimes it's tough or even a little bitter.
Growing up I've seen eggs in jars in what I thought was water and never understood why anyone would do that. Watching this has informed me that it was vinegar. I personally would not eat the eggs in plain vinegar, but the addition of the flavourings has me intrigued to make my own pickled eggs. The bleaching/colouring of the onions/eggs is my favourite part. Thanks for sharing.
In the last year I've pickled and canned lots of food. The pickled eggs with turmeric are great - I always add peppercorns to the eggs. I did spicy cauliflower which was yummy.. I also did a jar (fridge) of pickled red onion - great on sandwiches ! Hope you make more food and more videos 😊
This looks really easy to do. I've never had a pickled egg either; I'll probably just stick to deviled eggs, which I could quite a number of!! lol Always enjoy seeing you making something in the kitchen, your happy mail and of course tutorials!
Another fun recipe of yours that I have to try! I love picked veggies and I made pickled carrots with jalapenos one summer and they were fabulous but a lot of work as I had to process the jars in boiling water. Your method for the eggs is so much easier. Thank you.
Hummm. never tried making pickle any thing... but love to play and try new things... I love garlic and onions .. I will try this... it's easy simple... thank you 😊
Mmm, I used to pickle quail eggs when I had them. Single bite snacks. Pickled onions are wonderful too. I enjoyed seeing your reactions and you're a very good food reviewer.
OMG I have to try this recipe!!!! I love spicy and pickled eggs, however I grew up eating pickled eggs that you place in the pickle jar over night. It wasn't till we moved to TN that I realized they use vinegar to pickle everything. Thank you for this video. ~Chris~
I have been thinking about what you said about making deviled eggs with pickled eggs, I would imagine it would taste great. I don’t like egg whites very much so if the egg white takes on the pickled flavor it would taste great. That is why I like pickled eggs. I have only had the pickled eggs in the pickled beet brine. I love your cooking videos as well as your crochet videos. 💖💖
I love pickled eggs I get them when I can. You did a great job on those eggs and I know they taste good. Try watching Old school soul food videos on caning he has other videos as well but you do a great job on cooking I can't wait for your next video.
SO.. My tummy won't do jalapeno but I love to watch you in the kitchen!!! thank you for expanding your UA-cam videos. BTW I kept trying to tell my son Allen to watch you on gaming. but he kept saying " He's a crocheter, not a gamer" well I finally got him to watch you playing BUGSNACKS and I bought him the game. NOW he is one of your biggest fans. He wrote you and said something about you being a Bugsnack a Fiber Spider. So now we both love you and I love love love STRAY and watching you play. We suggest you make some fiber spider video game shirts I bet you'd make money there. specially bugsnacks and a fiber spider. LOL. we would buy. thank you for always making our day better. You always put a smile on our faces. I have made lots and lots of your crochet patterns. I listen to you read and I watch your kitchen videos. Allen watches the games and sometimes the kitchen videos. Have a great day F.S. Sending lots of love and respect from VT. Love the cornedbeef hash burgers.
They look delicious spider here in England you often see large jars of pickled eggs in our chip shops my husband loves them I will definitely be giving your recipe a try thank you 😋Amanda xx🇬🇧❤️
I haven't made pickled eggs in a couple years but I think I will tomorrow and with the jalapenos.I think I'll use the pickle juice from my spicy sweet pickles and onion and garlic powder since I don't have any onions right now nor cloves of garlic. I think making deviled eggs with them will be amazing
Hi Craig. So nice to see you today. I love just about anything pickled. I would love to try some pickled eggs 🥚 the way you are doing it, looks really good / yummy 😋.
I knew they'd be delicious. I love pickled things. My sister pickles cauliflower and carrots all the time. Will you be pickling eggs again in the future? Thanks for sharing. 🙂
I bet it would be good if you add a little chili pepper flakes and black pepper to your recipe. I bet if you leave them in the frig another week the eggs will taste spicer…. I can’t wait to make these!!
Please do not deprive yourself of eating the onions in your pickled eggs! Pickled onions are quite good! I also enjoy pickled peppers! Personally, I would be checking out the pickled garlic as well! ❤️🌻 (Obviously I wrote the above before finishing the video. 🤭)
I cheat and use my pickle juice when the jar is empty... I boil the eggs peel them and drop in the pickle juice add a couple peppers and extra garlic...
The red from the red onion didn't "bleach" out, it leached into the brine and tinted the eggs and the garlic. 🙂 Deviled eggs and/or egg salad would be a perfect use for pickled eggs.
I wonder how it would taste if you diced the pickled bits & used it as a ‘salsa’. Or - throw it all in a food processor for a dip? I see a weekend of experimenting coming up! 😊 Thanks for a tasty idea!
Hi. I am looking forward to trying these! Every Easter my family makes an easy, festive version of pickled eggs. PINK PICKLED EGGS: Combine store-bought sliced PICKLED beets, store-bought pickled pepperoncini peppers, sliced white onions, and hard-boiled eggs in a large, sterilized jar. (Proportions: 1/2 eggs: 1/2 beets, peppers, onions, with enough liquid to cover all) Place the jar in the refrigerator until eggs are fuchsia pink (1+ weeks). My family serves these eggs with Bestfood's/Hellmann's Mayonaisse. These eggs have a wonderful spicy-sweet bite to them. The mayonnaise mellows the heat... and they make a visual feast with their bright pink outside, cut in half the color fades close to the yolk. (They always reminded me of GOBSTOPPERS candy.😋) ENJOY!
I have made deviled eggs out of lacto fermented eggs “ pickled eggs are similar flavored I’ve eaten both just haven’t made pickled eggs so haven’t done so
Hard to say since the white is what you bite into first. The coloration wasn't any different on the inside, nor was the texture. I think if I left them pickling longer then perhaps I would notice moreso. Regardless, very tasty!
I'm not a fan of anything pickled, however I enjoyed watching this video. I can't see any reason why you couldn't use the eggs for deviled eggs. Add a little dill or celery seed into the mixture. If I have celery seed in the house when I make deviled eggs I do add it.
Really think the idea of pickled eggs,🥚🥚 especially jalapeno 🌶🌶 pickled eggs🥵 is 🤢🤮 but I love your videos ... so I'm watching but definitely won't be tempted by this one 😁
I love pickled eggs. Toast top split hotdog buns, spread a bit of mayo add the eggs sliced with some of the Goodies n sprikle with celery salt. Sooooooo good!!!! I make mine with pickling spice n onions n white vinegar.
My mom makes refrigerator dill pickles and puts onions and garlic in them. We eat the garlic and onion. Yum
The last time I made pickled eggs I kinda cheated. I snack on a lot of pickles so I saved the juice from my favorite pickles then add my garlic n onions and boild eggs. Made over a gallon jug full. It took my son 2 months to eat them all.🥰🥰

MSU extenstion has guidelines about shelf life and proper handling of canned items.
Just remember refrigerator pickles are not the same as canning.

Here’s a little tip when handling jalapeños. Rub your hands with some cooking oil, then chop your jalapeños and then wash your hands. Works well.
Thank you 🤗🙏🏽👍🏾 blessings

All of your ideas that you mentioned sounds delicious too!
That apron is to die for!
These eggs look amazing. I will definitely make them.

I love that you focus on classic foods in the kitchen. It really goes with your vibe (:

Blueberry jalapeño jam!! Soooo good. Bought it at a farmer's market.
We love pickled eggs! I add beets to my jar & the juice to pickling brine.(sometimes). I always take the first layer of onion off. Sometimes it's tough or even a little bitter.
Love this video! The longer you let it sit, the longer the flavors will enhance. Love your videos anyways and would love to see more like this one.
I love jalapeño eggs!! I would have to do it without the red onions because im intolerant of them but i could use sweet onions instead.
Nice you try pickle sweet banana peppers my mom made some form her garden they are so good.🧡🧡🧡

Yummy 😋 I love to these at the bar so good 👍 😋 😍 😊
I have made deviled eggs out of pickledbeet eggs many times, I'm sure it would work for those as well.
I bet it would be good if you add a little chili pepper flakes and black pepper to your recipe. I bet if you leave them in the frig another week the eggs will taste spicer…. I can’t wait to make these!!
You are so cute and funny when I watch you. I want to try the eggs. I will make them just like you did. Thanks for the video

(Obviously I wrote the above before finishing the video. 🤭)
My mom used to make pickled eggs with beets at Easter so of course the eggs were purple.
👍
Yum! This looks delicious. How about pretzels and pretzel buns?
Yes you can, just slice your eggs in half as usual .Then mix your yolk as normal 😊
I cheat and use my pickle juice when the jar is empty... I boil the eggs peel them and drop in the pickle juice add a couple peppers and extra garlic...
My favorite left over pickle juice is Clausen kosher. Perfect
I can eat eggs but I’m going to try it out with my granddaughter
The red from the red onion didn't "bleach" out, it leached into the brine and tinted the eggs and the garlic. 🙂

Yummie
The skins to red and brown onions are used as a dye
Hi. I am looking forward to trying these!
Every Easter my family makes an easy, festive version of pickled eggs.
PINK PICKLED EGGS:
Combine store-bought sliced PICKLED beets, store-bought pickled pepperoncini peppers, sliced white onions, and hard-boiled eggs in a large, sterilized jar. (Proportions: 1/2 eggs: 1/2 beets, peppers, onions, with enough liquid to cover all) Place the jar in the refrigerator until eggs are fuchsia pink (1+ weeks).

and they make a visual feast with their bright pink outside, cut in half the color fades close to the yolk.
(They always reminded me of GOBSTOPPERS candy.😋)
ENJOY!
PS- Please be sure to peel the eggs before placing them in the jar to pickle. Thank you.
yes, you can make deviled eggs with pickled eggs, but you must pickle the eggs first
I have made deviled eggs out of lacto fermented eggs “ pickled eggs are similar flavored I’ve eaten both just haven’t made pickled eggs so haven’t done so
You can pack the ingredients down into the jar
☕️🥰🏠
Did the pickling and flavors penetrate the egg all the way to the yolk?
Hard to say since the white is what you bite into first. The coloration wasn't any different on the inside, nor was the texture. I think if I left them pickling longer then perhaps I would notice moreso. Regardless, very tasty!
Yes i do remove the outer layer its too chewy
Why is that light flashing on your stove
I'm not a fan of anything pickled, however I enjoyed watching this video. I can't see any reason why you couldn't use the eggs for deviled eggs. Add a little dill or celery seed into the mixture. If I have celery seed in the house when I make deviled eggs I do add it.
Really think the idea of pickled eggs,🥚🥚 especially jalapeno 🌶🌶 pickled eggs🥵 is 🤢🤮 but I love your videos ... so I'm watching but definitely won't be tempted by this one 😁
Sounds good but not for me. People with acid reflux shouldn't eat this
