Those yucky farm jobs make all the others seem really fun! Skippy's a breed used for ships way back in the day to catch rats. Lively little dogs! He should fit right in and keep up with all the farm activity. I'm not sure but I think you will have to watch out for any horse harassing behavior. Maybe the dad will mellow that out for him. He's got such a sweet face!

Jim it doesn't matter what you present in your videos, speaking for myself it's all interesting! Stop apologizing - it's all good. The day to day action at your farm is a great mix of people, animals and different demonstrations of equipment/jobs. And tips on how to do things according to your experience over the years. These videos are the next best thing to an in person tour of your farm. Brenda that includes you! Love your garden and kitchen tips, and videography.

I think it's important that Jim acknowledges that there are different ways to doing some/ most things and to each their own. It's nice to see and also a lesson for all of us, that despite his ability and success, that he is always willing to listen and learn. I totally agree with you Wayne that Jim, Brenda and William are doing a great job and people can either watch their videos, or not.

Train him to a kennel, it can become his safe space. There will be times when you need to leave him and to avoid issues, (chewing furniture, pooping and peeing inside or running the road). Our Australian Shepards will just lay in the kennels with the door open, just to rest.

Not sure whether your cats will agree, though 😂 Baron seems to be doing so well, thankful he's healing nicely with all your love and help. The Schipperke, Belgium's "little captain," is the traditional barge dog of the Low Countries. Curious, lively, and intense but mischievous, this little black dog is a robust, long-lived companion for whom there is never a dull moment. Standing no higher than 13 inches, Schipperkes are small dogs built for hard work. Schips were created as ratters and watchdogs. Their powerful jaws, necks, and forequarters'¿coupled with a stealthy, catlike hunting style'¿make them ideal rat-catching machines. The black coat is profuse around the neck, shoulders, and legs, giving the breed a silhouette that accentuates a thick, substantial body. The foxy face completes the unique look of a unique breed. If you can't tell a Schipperke from an ordinary dog, you simply haven't been paying attention.

Congratulations on your new pup!! I've trained quite a few dogs, and am currently training my Belgian Malinois for her first French Ring Brevet level competition this coming fall.
Let him settle in for a week, he's just been uprooted and placed in completely new people, surroundings and smells, let him get used to this, it's still quite young . Decide on one name for training purposes, nicknames and sweet diminutive names (for Brenda) will happen later. Schipperke have had a number of working jobs including herding, they can also be very prey driven, so desensitizing him early on to cats and other small farm animals is super important. Working on establishing a solid recall is one of the most important commands for a dog to know, also the down/stay.

The only thing I’d recommend for the pup is treats, as you’re walking him give him some treats and make him encouraged to come with you. House training is simple, to begin use a pee pad and teach them to use that and then when they pee wipe the pee on the pad and say good boy and reward him when he sniffs it so he knows pee on the pad is good. Then whenever he pees on the pad bring it outside, try to put it in the same area, and when he sniffs it say good boy and reward him and stuff. Then he should start to get the idea that peeing on the pad is good and then peeing outside is good. It’s all about routine and treats depending on how treat motivated a dog is. Good luck! He looks to maybe have some heeler in him so he’s smart as a whip

I had to chuckle at twine in the beater bar. Been there done that! The look you got from Ken was priceless, that’s my job. You guys could put about anything on the farm on the video and I’d watch. I have to have my daily fix watching out over the horse’s backsides or my day is ruined. Thank you for taking the time for my sake. I’d just plain be cranky without your videos.

You make backing that manure spreader under that shed easy; but, I'm here to tell ya that is no easy feat! Horses are excellent & that helps, still requires a ton of skill.
By the way, none of what you show us is boring.

Being stuck at home, won't say why, learning how you do the farm work is entertaining to me. Keep up the positive attitude, God bless all of 😂!

91.4 subscribers Jim . Could make 100,000 by Christmas . Maybe . That will tell you all you need to know about your channel .Dont change a thing . But if you want to bring back a little music ,ok with me . If some viewers don't like music they could always hit the mute button . Amish Pa had a barn fire and rebuild in 6 days . Video was over an hour long and mostly music . Very interesting .Cheers😊😊😊
