Hi Jess, Chris, Colette and Shane, your video's always provide a smile a mile with all your road trips and explorations 😊 giving my age away but there is a well known song from 1958 called "Tulips from Amsterdam " and your trip brought back musical flashbacks from my youth. 😀 So wonderful that you were able to visit the county of Sussex too. I'm in West Sussex about 35 miles from Tulley's Farm. If you can possibly visit Arundel Castle in West Sussex you would absolutely love it. There is a medieval weekend in early July so if you fancy watching jousting and trying archery this could be for you my friends. Many thanks for sharing your lovely day out and sending you all my best wishes. xx. ♥
I’m in East Sussex and can also recommend Arundle Castle for a visit, also Bodiam Castle for a shorter visit. West and East Sussex have lots of historic places to visit.
Oh, we're so glad to help bring back fond memories from your childhood! We truly appreciate your love and support it means the world to us all. We will definitely check out the Medieval Festival and the Cathedral! We love the recommendations and appreciate you sharing with us. Thank you for all your continued support! Hope you have a lovely Thursday. Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
It is going to be definitely different when we have to drive back in the US. We absolutely love driving and exploring. Thank you for your comment and time watching. Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
Your videos are always entertaining and happy. Louise Hay would have been proud of you!!! Jess, Collette is so much like you, very respectfully, beautiful inside and out. You must be very proud of your kids😀
I think you absolutely love exploring and, most of the time, trying to think outside the boxes to experience and explore. Thank you so much for your kindness. We appreciate your support! Cheers 🤍 Jess x
Haha, well, it was loud on the camera, and know that if I don't say something, someone else will. Appreciate your comment and time watching. Cheers 🤍 Jess x
Thank you. We really appreciate your support and you coming along with us on our fun day adventures! Hope you have a lovely weekend as well. Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
So glad for yous', the sun is shining & the trees are greener. Will this be the 1st summer here or the 2nd? I read in the comments, & totally agree, you must go to agriculture farm shows etc. They have some pique of interest for all the family. Thank you for letting me be a passenger. I hope you didn't mind my wind.
It will be our second summer, and yes, we definitely agree. We are going to try to catch a show this summer. Definitely appreciate everybody letting us know that we should check them out. We appreciate your support and kindness. Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
I've recently stumbled across your channel guys🙃As a brit, i feel ashamed that I've not found the time to travel more around my own country 😅i like observing your reactions to how different our two country's are🇬🇧🇺🇸 what a lovely family you all are, take care👍
We are thankful you stumbled upon our channel. We love traveling and getting out and see as much as possible. We know we're blessed to call this our home away from home. Thank you for your comment and time watching. Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
Love the tulips and the leaves are back on the trees ...summer is coming...don't forget to get a portable A/C as this summer is going to be a hot one and you don't want the A/C you want sold out when it gets too hot ...😉💞 xx
I do as well.Spring is in the air, and summer is around the corner! Yeah, we're looking at a couple of aircons for this summer. Last summer, we did without and kinda suffered a little. Thank you for your continued support! Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
Oh, how fabulous! I absolutely love tulips, daffodils, and poppies! Thank you so much for sharing. I hope you have a lovely day. Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
Back in the 1600's in The Netherlands, tulips were BIG business. They were seen to be as big a currency then, as gold is today. You should try a day out at Springfields and also Baytree near to Spalding in (south) Lincolnshire. It's a very large garden centre and at this time of year all the tulips are in bloom.
A bit of creative editing at the end there, Jess. The M23 is back over on the south side of the river! BTW motorways can be pretty too, I would recommend the M6 through Cumbria then going onto the M74 through Scotland.
Make sure you pay online for the dart charge for the bridge/tunnel! Search dart charge or you will get a nasty bill in the post! Happened to me previously
In common with previous comment, your post does bring to mind Tulips From Amsterdam. As for the wind, well it’s an ill wind that blows nobody any good! You chatting about the weather! We will make an English Lady of you yet. Lovely video
We have had a lot of people tell us that, hopefully, 1 day, we will be able to see the tulips in Amsterdam. Thank you for your time watching and leaving us this wonderful comment. Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
Thanks for sharing and nice to see you near my neck of the woods. If you are into a tulips, another great place in Sussex is Pashley Manor - I hope to go to the tulip festival over there the week after next. Also if you are generally exploring a bit more to your south then another garden place that might interest you could be the world garden at Lullingstone Castle in Kent.
Oh, lovely. Hope you have a lovely time exploring the tulip fast. It was a lovely time. We definitely appreciate your kindness and recommendations. We hope to get more south in the summer. Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
Hi Jess. I mentioned a while ago about the desert rats memorial. Well the tank is being bought back from being renovated on the 5th May. On that day from 11am there is also a 80th anniversary celebration of the armoured unit. I didn’t know if it would be of any interest to you and Chris? I’ll try and get you a link to the site, but you tube sometimes stops them, so you may have to look it up. It’s on the A1065 near Mundford.
I thought I recognised the road in the opening sequence, although I havent driven on it for years..! Made me think 'They're South of the Thames ! What the heck !!'
How come uh, thank you for sharing? And it's really cool to be able to appreciate places that people get to call home for their entire life. Sussex is such a beautiful place! We appreciate your comment and continued support! Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
Thank you so much for riding along with us. We're so glad you enjoyed today! No, I am definitely looking for a woodland bluebell walk! Hopefully, very soon. Thank you for your support! Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
Jess. You are the only person who could say the Dartford crossing is super cool. You should try it when it is busy! I am terrified going over the Elizabeth bridge. I go in one of the middle lanes, and sink down in the seat so I can't see the water. It is a toll crossing, have you paid? Do so online or you will get a fine. Haven't watched it yet, sure you had a good day though!
It is cool because you're going under the water. It is not something that I've ever experienced in the US. Thank you for the tip. We did pay for the fee. Friend definitely, we appreciate you looking out for us! Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
Heyyyy!! You were in my hometown of Dartford!! You should have said, you could have popped in for a cuppa and a biscuit!! The D’ford tunnel and Bridge (the QEII bridge is its “proper name”) is just “up the road” from where I live and I can see the link road leading to it from my doorstep! (Parts of D’ford are very hilly!) so we do not need to do a “traffic watch” if we are going on the M25, we just open the front door and look to the left! More often than not it is rammed solid with traffic and the vehicles will not move for ages…..when the road is clear, no cars or lorries on it, we then worry that “something awful has happened” and that part of the M25 has been closed off! It was two years ago, that two idiotic protestors (just stop oil) climbed up the main gantry of the bridge and chained themselves to the spars. The bridge had to be closed to traffic, incase the twits lost their balance and fell on to a moving car! It was complete and utter traffic chaos for those days. The memory of just trying to get “around” that area still haunts me! Don’t forget to pay the DartCharge!! They took the toll booths away a few years ago, the idea was that it would speed up the flow of traffic, with motorists not having to pay the toll at the booth or throwing a coin into the money pit …. Uh oh…. epic fail! 😣😳🙄
Thank you for the reminder of paying the toll. We paid it, thankfully. Oh, how cool.Yeah, it was a beautiful place.I'm only can't wait to explore more in Sussex! Thank you for sharing with us.We really appreciate your continued support and love! Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
Re subscribed. By default, it goes to personalised rather than all. Does that make a difference? The road journey was very pretty with the overhanging trees. I am pleased that you mentioned that Colette is beautiful. I have wanted to say it, but refrained. In fact, there were two beautiful flowers in the car.

I've been listening to a few of your videos and just found out you live near Downham Market, I assume you are in Marham? I live in Hilgay a village 4 miles from Downham Market. I'm not born and bred but moved here about 23 years ago. I'm glad you are enjoying your time in the UK.
How cool, we absolutely love Downham Market and Kings Lynn it is just so beautiful! We love sharing with everyone this beautiful country we get to call home for a while. We appreciate your kindness and time watching our videos. Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
The Dartford Tunnel looks very similar to the old Mersey Tunnel (Queensway Tunnel) from Liverpool to Birkenhead except it is less than half the length of the Mersey Tunnel, An unused part of the Queensway tunnel was used for filming in one of the Harry Potter films DH part 1 I think. The new Mersey Tunnel (Kingsway Tunnel) is four times the length of the Dartford Tunnel. You should try that sometime.
Very interesting. Thank you so much for that information and recommendation. We will definitely do our best to check it out! I appreciate your time. Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
Thank you, friend. I also received your email. Yes, we did pay the fee! Appreciate the reminder, and I will email you back as soon as possible! Cheers 🤍 Jess & family x
We went to this last year. Did you see huge numbers of tourists from India recreating a famous bollywood scene which includes a basket as a prop ? I think some of them come all the way from the far east just for this event
There were a lot of tourists! We did not happen to see any that I'm aware of but you can't say it didn't happen while we were there. LoL I'm happy that they're living their best life! I appreciate a good tourist destination, but we love to think outside the box and experience/ explore things that most miss, unfortunately. Appreciate your support! Cheers 🤍 Jess x
@@DaydreamersBarn The one we went to last year was much nearer to you and I, just east of King's Lynn. I asked one of the staff why these people were posing with a wicker basket and and veil scarf....she said they were re-creating a scene that is iconic in their region of the world
@simonboyes2550 that's very interesting. I would have also asked. Is the ne you went to the Norfolk tulip fest? We tried to get tickets, but they sold out quickly. 🤍 Jess
