That number 5 is SO RIGHT. I got my first pair from TPG and I can’t even look at them. They attack my badly. I have 6 more from small home breeders, and my gliders are all the sweetest! But the popular youtubers only recommend the big breeders.
Similar ones for rabbits? What are some bonding mistakes people tend to make when it comes to their rabbits? * My sister made this video for me which is why it’s a lot fancied than my others:) it’s also a video we filmed a while back which is why my sugar glider Mocha is in it. He sadly has passed away since then.
Its so hard to bond because mine is very scared no matter how hard I try to bond once I tried grabbing her by her tail because she went under my bed she was very scared... I believe I hurt her by mistake and couldn't get over it and from that day I never held her but this video seems helpful will try
Don’t feel bad not being able to hold them. I have two adults that I adopted about 4 months ago. They don’t like being held or picked up. They’ll only go in my hand on their terms if we’re in the bonding tent and I have my hand out. I’ve boughten the bonding mitt but that didn’t help either. Now that it’s been a year since you posted your comment, have you been able to hold them?
@@Ginam3939 I actually ended up giving her away few months back. Its not that i have up on her but i had to because i knew that she wasn't happy in my household and it being an apartment she wasn't happy with the space in her cage and i couldn't just take care of it when i cant keep it happy and mentally strong. Once i had to go for a one month vacation outside the country and when i was back she just seemed really scared and wasn't willing to come out of her cage at all. I guess whoever handled her did not seem comforting at all, I cant expect much help considering where i live, and after that she was just not communicating enough and soon it became illegal to have a sugar glider and i had to give her away for good now. But before i had left for vacation she would let me hold her and would often come up and crawl on me while i fed her. I don't think i was responsible enough handling a wild animal it was wrong to own one considering where i live and i hope shes doing better now.
@@Ginam3939 but if you want to bond with them its best you start by feeding them in your hand and then they'll probably get used to your scent and would be more comfortable with you and they'll probably start crawling and climbing everywhere.
My sugar gliders hate bonding pouches and idk what to do bc I’m trying to start the bonding process but I can’t because they’ll just crab at me and idk what to do
@@mypawfectfamily when are we going to get it sorted? Or are we doing it the old way when we just put each others channels into the Description and mention each other a lot in the video?
I just got two..they are about a year old.. but they dont seem socialized..I'm not sure if its because I'm a stranger to them but one of them lunges and bites when I put my hand near the cage door
That’s very common! They are very scent based and I’d they don’t recognize your scent, they’ll likely be very mean. It’s a phase they’ll grow out of for sure
I just got 4 gliders from my cousin who didn’t want them after 3 days with them and I took them in and they are very very aggressive and lunge as well as crab continually could u pls pls do a vid of how to tame them !!🙏🙏
I have a video on sugar glider bonding mistakes! That goes over some things not to do which could help! Also, not all sugar gliders bond the same amount, I discuss this in a. Video called “are sugar gliders cuddly” and I talk about my different glider personalities:)
I’m having issues now with two new gliders I bought so my other one can have friends the boy is one year and 2 months and the girl is 1 year the boy has made me bleed and always crabs at me but accepts my treats to him and the girl bites me but soft, I ended up finding out yesterday that the new girl actually has two baby joeys in her pouch the last owner didn’t even know she says. Could it be because the girl has the babies in her pouch and they won’t bong with me at the moment?
It can be! Some gliders are very protective but others are super sweet even while carrying joeys. Also, I would get the male nuetered ASAP or else he might breed with the babies and especially if this isn’t a lineaged pair, that will be very bad
@@mypawfectfamily yes I have a vet appointment next week Saturday going to get the two new ones checked do you think the boy will be nicer after neutered him
Hi! I’m not sure if you saw but Lennon the Bunny made a reaction to my video 😬 I think it might be better to postpone the collab. I’m getting quite a bit of hate right now and I don’t want that to translate over to your channel:(

This is so helpful. I have been making these mistakes for almost 2 years!! 😫
finally, my hands can stop having holes now, thank you ! !
Fantastic video ! This should be shared and seen by all new glider parents !
Cool video. Thank you for taking the time and effort to make and share!

most likely she will be depressed give her another to share the cage with unless theres another animal she shares it with

When you bond with new gliders would you take them out for tent time/ bonding alone or with multiple gliders at the same time?
you can do both! I start with them in a group and doing it individually will strengthen it:)
Could you maybe post yours tommorow and I'll post mine on Wednesday?
