Before UA-cam, the only thing I knew about MK lore was that Shao Khan wanted to take over Earthreallm and that Scorpion and Sub Zero hate each other. Never even knew there was any story to it.

In the original MK game, the Outworld did not yet exist as a concept and the MK tournament was a Shaolin tradition. Also Raiden was evil. Have a nice day :)

Where's the big bad boss in MK1, oh yeah that's right, there isn't one. The game sucks. They should change the name to MK1 out of 10.
If "Big bad boss" is the your just reason to say that the game sucks, then well, too bad.
A game does not in my opinion necessarily need a big boss to be good.
Shang Tsung is literally the first boss in the MK series (I am talking about the 1992 game) but leaving that point, since it could be called "Unrelated", Shang Tsung in this game from a canonical point is stronger than your "Big Bad Guy" as he's literally the keeper of time, having absorbed Kronika's, Shao Kahn's, God Liu Kang souls etc..., so he may not be "Big" but he's certainly very bad and evil.
Now at the end of the day if you don't like it, it's your choice and i respect it, i for sure do like it tho.
Opinions do differ, but i wanted to share mine.
@@b0zky I respect that. I always enjoyed fighting a larger, stronger , quicker, character at the end, to not only test my skills but it gives that satisfying feeling of jumping the last hurdle STS. Plus the character design for me was just not good.
@@speedboatcig946 I can see why, it does make a lot sense, and i as well respect your taste.
I personally aside from pure character i also like looking at motives and actions leading up to that final fight so i might be potentially way more lenient on the pure characteristics of that boss.
As for the character design (If you're talking about the looks) well it is again a matter of taste, i like his face look as it is a retake on MK11 Shang Tsung (Which featured 1995 Actor that played Shang Tsung, which i love as well, but that's another topic, one more note is that i also love how they auditioned someone who does sound kinda similar to him and they kept that charisma going), what i find interesting is how they kept his costume from the ending of MK11 Aftermath when you choose to win as Shang Tsung, in a way i don't mind that, it looks amazing and it's been used just for that ending so it goes well in my mind.
