i love this pinball table its beautiful i bought the emulator on the psvita and the playstation 3 and on android telephone but it doesnt look as great in real life
I used to play this as a child, and then just got it again on The Pinball Arcade for Xbox... I have to say, this table is amazing and I did save the princess once so far, although I "cheated" like hell to get there (I for some reason can't get the good shots when I want them, but all day when I'm not going for them :/). Anyways, high score is 80 million so far. I'd love to own this table in real life. Maybe one day.
Thanks for the complement. I used red LED flashers in the drain lanes, gives it a cool effect during game play. I did use color changing LEDs in the genie insert though.
Type "pinball locator" into Google, there are several sites whose users have quantified the locations of various public pinball machines in the U.S. If you live in a city it's more likely to be able to find a particular pinball machine--where I live, except for the amusement park, there are probably only about five machines (of any kind, not TOTAN) in a 100 mile radius. Luckily, one is White Water...
the atmosphere on this table is awesome ,and of course its a good table, but i hate him^^ really hard to play;), greets from germany to all pinball heads
Oh man I'm so jealous :) The closest I can get to playing TOTAN is on my Android phone. The last arcade in my city which had 8 pinball machines including TOTAN in its rotation was shutdown over a year ago. Apparently in my city you need a licence to run an arcade, which they don't give out anymore. Chances are very low I'll be able to play on TOTAN again.
It will interesting to compare the two versions. Of course, The Pinball Arcade uses the actual rom, so it wins by default in that category. There are some really cool tables for Future Pinball though.
only 27 years old but have develpoed a luv for pinball machines wish i can afford to buy 1 or could find a place that has em to play. dont make enough as a dishwasher to buy ! yet
I'm here because of the App on andrioid called "Pinball Arcade," and for their one year anniversity, they gave you the table for FREE. It was awesome! And NO i am NOT advertising, XD
This is actualy the only table that's given to you for free on Steam's Pinball Arcade. IMO, it does a _very_ good job of demonstrating the concept of pinball to the player (hence why it's given to you from the get-go).
@philipemaciel85 No, once you restore a pinball machine it isn't that much work maintaining it. In a home use only environment this game should look great for years to come. I dust the exterior every week or so and clean the plastic ramps with Novis #1 about every 100 games. Sometime I even clean the playfield :)
I used to play this when at a pizza place when I was really young. I completely forgot about it until I downloaded Pinball Arcade (the developers put a lot of work into recreating tables in the digital medium). Although, nothing will ever be as good as the real thing especially while trying to play the damn thing on a phone. :P
@Shilofax I bought it a few years ago from a collector in NC. It was in pretty good shape, a true HUO machine. I decided to restore it after I owned it for about year. TOTAN is a great game, easy but very addictive to play. Good luck in your hunt.
Looks nice, but still a long way off from those old solid tables with real STEEL balls that bounced over the whole table, thanks to those heavy rubber bumpers. This sounds like a bloody ping pong table.
I think my ball save is at 8 seconds, still pretty long. The reason the ball kept getting saved in this video is because the shooting starts didn't catch the ball several times when they were lit. The clearcoated playfield whips the ball around a lot quicker, so this happens fairly often.
Looks like a lovely machine. However, gotta say I'm not a fan of the LEDs. They seem overly bright, and don't have the warmth or decay/ramping of incandescents.
I know nothing about real tables, so excuse me if this a dumb question. I play a lot of Pinball FX on Xbox, and with the release of FX3, they made a bunch of the slingshots 'stronger'. They said it was to make them closer to real tables. So I decided to look up one specific real world table, and watch multiple videos on it, to compare how the hard and fast the slingshots are compared to FX3. The problem is that I've now watched multiple videos of this table and the slingshots seem to act slightly different in each video. Is it possible to change how strong a slingshot is manually? Because this is making it difficult to compare. Though it seems to me, that FX3's are a bit over the top.
Sometimes, they are configurable in some cases. But most of the instances you see is maintenance. Maintenance can make a huge difference between lazy coils or not.
It's too bad Pinball Arcade doesn't quite match the magic of the real thing. :( Got 92 million one day, haven't been able to replicate it since (or even get close).
nope, i just watched this for the first time and was confused why multiball was only played with 2 balls. It turns out the 3rd ball is never put in play when multiball starts, although u can hear the machine playing the sound for "releasing" it a couple of times. Not until the two balls drain and multiball mode ends the CPU in the table discover the 3rd ball left in the "Harem" ;). Common issue I would say. What do u say Mike? /Martin from Sweden
Yuo get mesmerized watching this table. One of the prettiest and magical pinball machines ever made.
Great looking game. Wish to play one again someday. Was 1 of 2 pins at my local arcade.
I have this one, no good gophers, and Black Knight 2000, so much fun, but i wish it was LED lights too....
i love this pinball table its beautiful i bought the emulator on the psvita and the playstation 3 and on android telephone but it doesnt look as great in real life
I played this in college. I was so addicted
Oooh too bad you didn't save the princess. That last showdown is still incredibly badass, one of the most awesome pinball finals ;)
one of my favorite tables!
My favorites are Champion pub, Whirlwind, Black hole, Big shot,Dr dude, scared stiff,Central park,Genie,Funhouse and Firepower

Beautiful example. I've been trying to find one in BC, Canada (a nice one) for years now, along with a Scared Stiff.
Nice! I own one of the Tales of the Arabian Nights, its one of my favorites.
Thanks for the complements. I'm a sucker for the bling, especially the brass plating. TOTAN is a beautiful game.

I so wish I had this game.

It would be a real treat to play one of your tables. They are better than factory.

This table used to be at Camel Beach many years ago in their gameroom. Too bad its gone now..

this table is now averaging $10 000. worth every quarter payed! 3800 produced in 1996

That and it's a badass Pinball table =) Arguably my favourite, played it a lot back in the day.
I played this in the lecture hall during Poly Sci, finally won the game on the last day of class before the final. Greatest use of my time ever spent.
@philipemaciel85

Sounds that way because the playfield glass is not on the machine. It would "sound" exactly like you want it to if the glass was on.
The table plays sooo much more fun than the iOS verson. You're a lucky guy :D

This table is on Xbox Live now under Pinball Arcade. Works great too.
What a beatiful machine.
Is it too difficult to maintain?
Yeah. The in-app purchases might be comparatively expensive, but after playing the table a few times, you've pretty much "earned it back" ;)
I put LEDs in, but didn't go with a kit. I just mixed and matched until I got what I ilked.
@Gashie2 I've been playing that game a ton. I have the top four high scores on TotAN!
save the princess by getting diamonds i like. it's one of my favorite

bought this table today on android for 0.99$ haha couldnt resist.. awesome table, looks even more cool in real.
this is a fantastic table! did you put an LED conversion kit in it? it lights up much brighter than usual from the looks of things
Can you let me know the cylinder key number on the top of the marquee to fold it down?
I liked this pinball from the Pinball Arcade game on my PS Vita.
Are they rare? I really want to play on one of these pinball machines one day!
@caramelnoose
Yes, that is the story of my life..... An TOTAN is a pretty easy game. I always blow it when the camera is running.
I agree. Plus it saves me a lot of quarters from playing the actual table.
Where did you buy this machine? I want to add this to my collection :)
I got this game on my ps4 this weekend and this is the only board I am able to play
I used to play this in college, I was addicted.
Looks like a lovely machine. However, gotta say I'm not a fan of the LEDs. They seem overly bright, and don't have the warmth or decay/ramping of incandescents.
Don't know that I like the white LED's in the game but the rest of the LED's look good.
Final battle begins at 10:38!
I'm so jealous. Good skills there but you fell apart at the end... ; )
Just got this on my iPad 3'its just the same ! Would to play the real thing.

what do you have your pitch set at on this machine>
The Shoot star ball catchers are your friends :)
Why’d you quit with at least one ball left. ❔
I just bought this for XBOX 360 PURE AWESOMENESS
My favorite table

Now in the pinball arcade
Looks better then the xbox live one I tried (Well....duh)
Is that Attack from Mars off to the left?
Hopefully. It’s even better than this M/C, but not by a lot. 🔥
ATTACK the Genie!!
It's too bad Pinball Arcade doesn't quite match the magic of the real thing. :(
