When I heard Barry talk about the new generation being our future and saying "people like me, we won't be around much longer" fucking was like stabbing me in the heart.
I was feeling the same way. He was like a father figure to so many and it’s almost as if people that didn’t believe he wouldn’t be around forever he went ahead and died on us so we would have to figure out how to go on and carry his message to others. I feel like Barry would be a huge voice in the world of firearms and common sense in general but we couldn’t rely on him for it all. That’s why he was called home. So we can continue his work in his honor.
+harry gersch well congrats!!!! so if some people get all fucked up on PCP and decided they wana to break into your home you can do 2 things!!! number 1 Call the police aka guys with guns, and number 2 pray they get there in time. good luck with that!!!!! but me, ill stick to bein armed myself, and armed as fuck!!!! AMERICA!!!!!!!
I agree. Any gun law is unconstitutional. 2A doesn't say "unless it's automatic or unless you pass a background check or unless you have been to prison"
+JESUS is GOD At the same time, why would we need fully automatic weapons? Semi auto means less wasted shots, and less money spent on ammo. Your average American doesn't HAVE enough ammunition to make using a fully automatic rifle viable in the long run. I'm perfectly happy with my semi-automatic SKS.
the way i see it a military person and a law enforcement person both start out as civilians they are taught to respect the firearm they carry and go through that training and a few other things so why cant we as civilians own certain firearms
How about the adjustable stocks? That must have saved thousands of lives. Right? Or making it so we can't have a flash suppressor on an AR15, wow that is huge. I think we were all a little safer back then for it.
My parents both grew up around guns, and both saw what could happen if someone in your family doesn't have common sense or training. My dad served in Okinawa during Vietnam when he was 17/18, constantly carried a Colt 1911 and sometimes a M16 rifle until his discharge around age 22 or so. After that, he owned several guns ranging from Sako bolt actions to 357 magnums. He was surrounded by them for 45 years or so and was advidly into concealed carry. After that, he became so anti gun, he believes that no one should have a CCL, shotguns and pistols only belong inside the house, and rifles are only for hunting. He's now 64 and has yet to teach me (a 17 year old) how to shoot, much less get me near a gun. We live in Texas, and my parents decided to raise me in the most gun friendly state in the south, yet don't even mention these words: hunting, rifle, concealed carry, open carry, gun control, or anything having to do with gun accidents within the family (before I was born) or my dad's military service. Hopefully, your videos would help them out a little bit, and thank you for the gun education my parents didn't give me so far.
I once saw NBC news and it said "...SHOOTER WAS ARMED WITH AR-15 ASSAULT RIFLE" and I said to myself "Somebody got PAID to write that. PAID. Actual MONEY."
Thank you gentlemen, listening to you guys at work is great. I really appreciate you guys taking the time out of your busy day to speak. We all gotta do our part.
i dont shop at walmart for guns they card mfor ammo and arnt much cheaper ill give my money to the m0om and pop shop and can buy ammo no id no questions do have to have an id for a gun of course but i hopoe ilive to see a day where thats not nessasary
The media talks about body armor like someone cannot be hurt with body armor on. I got shot with a single bullet wearing body armor, it broke two ribs. The bullet didn't penetrate the plate, but it knocked the wind out of me and put me too the ground, and I had two cracked ribs. Even with body armor on, the person will still feel the shot. Depending on the caliber and gun, you can knock someone down with a single shot to the chest even with body armor on.
Something that really gets to me, is when news announcers talk about "high-powered" assault rifles. Of course, they're referring to semi-auto versions of assault rifles. But, whether semi-auto, or selective fire, an "assault rifle" is, by definition, NOT "high-powered." It fires a cartridge that falls midway in power, between that of a pistol round, and a full-powered rifle round.
Guys, I was watching this video while logged out of my username. I decided to open a new tab, log in, and come back to this video just so that i can personally thank you for making these videos. You do more to defend the second amendment in 20 minutes than most Americans do in a lifetime, and for that, i salute you!
You guys are great. I love watching your videos while smoking my assault cigarette and drinking coffee out of my assault coffe mug. THANKS FOR DOING WHAT YA'LL DO.
My name is Tim and I'm 15, I was around Jonesborough the other day on our way back from Florida and we stopped by the shop. Unfortunately you guys were out for the day but i just wanted to let you all know that you have given me new hope for this country. It pains me every time i hear about the legislation being passed that restricts my future rights. But i wont sit here and complain, I have written to my congressmen about the laws and I invite everyone who reads this to also.
+John Phillips dont you listen to these guys when they speak??? your assault fork safety is always in your headspace.... now go assault that steak n tater!
Wal Mart went bleeding heart on "AR's" and decided to stop selling them. Too bad. There are still bolt action, semi auto 10/22 style, and lever actions for sale though.
From my cold dead fingers is what I say! I am a 23 year old security guard and auxillary police officer and I agree with everything you fellas have said and I want to thank you for putting these fantastic videos out there for the public to view and hopefully to educate the unknowing masses about firearms and firearms safety
Hans S. I was watching a show of cops and they arrested a guy that had a pistol loaded with hollow points. The cop was saying on camera that those hollow points are illegal. I am just wanting to scream at the TV.
Man Barry was an intelligent man. His Dianne Feinstein response was great. I'm glad we had people like him around when I was a kid. We need to keep fighting for 2A and teach our friends, family and especially the youth that guns aren't bad. There's bad people. That's why we need guns.
I was recently involved in an active shooter situation where the suspect had an AK type rifle. He had wounded two officers and killed a civilian. My opinion on the public owning this particular weapon has not changed and your absolutley right. Great video guys!
SS109 cartridge (standard AR15 round): 0.416oz 30 round PMAG: 6.08oz every full PMAG is then: 6.08 + (30 * 0.416) = 18.56oz 1 pound is 16oz, so that's a bit over a pound. 6 full PMAGs, standard combat load, is 111.36oz = 6.96lbs .. just about 7 pounds of only ammo. 7000 rounds is a little more than 38 times that, right around 266 pounds. Beyond weight though, it becomes hard to simply transport that many mags. You could load them into boxes on a hand truck, but it is unlikely you could load them fast enough to be useful. Personally, I'd say the maximum number of PMAGs you could carry in a configuration that would allow to reload quickly enough to bd effective would be about 20. You would simply run out of space to carry them.
These guys are great! They make more sense then anybody. I'm a big gun fan since I was little. Information is golden. I teach my children a moral responsibility with guns. I'm going to teach my 8 yr old the PROPER use of firearms. More than I can say for some. My 11 yr old is quite the shooter. The most important is he knows how the gun works and proper safety! Because, I teach him knowledge and keep him from ignorance. Just one more thing he can hit anything at 100 yds with a .22. Proud of him!
Well you guys still have access to semi-autos, it's too late for us Australians. Our media continue to bombard us with exaggerated garbage about gun crime. We even have a military weapons appearance clause under schedule 1 (7) of our 1996 NFA. I.e We can't even own straight pull Ak's, Ar-15s.......
Thanks for the video. The more I see your video guys, the more I respect you, the more I see how not to be ignorant and to think straight about that whole media-firearms relationship. Thanks for developing my personality. :)
Brilliant discussion guys. Very well informed, well researched, and logically presented - very much the polar opposite of the misinformation that's being spewed out. Agree wholeheartedly with all your points.
Great video, I love your no-nonsense approach..I'm 47 yrs old a U.S. Marine veteran and cringe at going to the gun counter of the big box stores. Keep up the good work. Wish you were closer to N.C.......Carry on
Great video. I'm a young person and I just got my first .22lr rifle not too long ago. You guys are great, God Bless you and keep on doing the excellent work because I appreciate it like many others.
I think this is your best video I have watched so far. I'm glad to hear that you guys are inspiring so much of the younger generation in this country to own guns. The way you properly handle these guns really shows them a good example on how they need to handle them as well.
The shooter at Aurora wasn't wearing body armor. He was wearing a vest that allowed him to carry extra accessories. I think there were some overlooked and exaggerated details about the case.
That is good to hear! As an America, I had lived in Belgium (Brussels), from 2001 to June 2006. Only recently, I had learned about how anti-gun most of Europe is, and I also saw an NRA video showing how gun rights had been curtailed by anti gun politicians in the UK relativly recently. The warning of that video was, that these kinds of laws can be seen in the USA, a country targeted by many international anti gun people, because our country's second amendment right.
15:30 I second that, I have been around guns since I was very little, had rifles given to me as gifts from my father but turning 18 and being able to go purchase that weapon myself was really something else. Now 20 going on 21 in August I will be purchasing my first hand gun and being able to apply for a CCW I expect will be even better of a feel. Figures crossed though if GA HB 2 passes a won't have to the government sticking there hand out for my right to protect myself.
I love how you brought up Wal-Mart and that they were continuing to sell those items the government had tried to make taboo. I recall when I purchased my first gun (a .22 savage arms bolt action rifle), while i bought it from Wal-Mart I purchased my ammo later at K-mart. In doing so I learned a strange thing about the now defunct K-mart. This was sometime in the late 90's. When I asked about a box of .22 lr they asked is it for rifle or handgun. I told them rifle and asked why they were asking. Apparently after a shooting on the news (it might have been Columbine or one after it, not for sure) K-mart had made a policy of not selling handgun ammo. I think i even glanced at the shelves and noticed it appeared to be only .22, shotgun gun shells and strictly rifle ammo. I know there are rifles chambered for handgun rounds, like .44, .45 and .357 magnum, but apparently they refused to carry any ammo useable in rifle and handgun bigger than .22lr. The ideas people can get in the name of keeping people safe and preventing a possible shooting can be so nuts and lacking in logic or proper information.
Good job Tim! Im sure the older men and women will agree that to hear of someone your age being proactive is great to hear. Perhaps there is a chance for our country so long as your generation stands up for what you/they believe in. Long live the Republic, NOT ONE STEP BACK!
I am 18 years old. Never owned a gun, never shot one until january of this year. I purchased a mossberg 590 and waiting for this awful 10 waiting period to be over(Kalifornia) and i agree with this video. I used to remember calling bolt action rifles with scopes sniper rifles and carbines assault weapons. All the constant media misinformation brainwashed me without me even noticing. My old call of duty days are behind me and i have now become a true free american :)
As a young american in a family that doesn't really agree with firearms I want to thank you for this information because before the discovery of this channel my information on firearms, laws and terminology was very limited.
Here in MA all these laws still exist. 10 round limit, fixed stocks, no threaded muzzles, etc. It is such a shame. I can't wait to get the F out of here. Great video!
Keep up the great work guys, respect and admire all the work and efforts you guys put forward.Don't give up the fight! Although i am not an Amercian citizen, you have my support and others from up here in the North, Canada!
I hope you will never end up like us here in Austria: I am licensed to own guns here. To do so I had to: Finish a psychological test (250 bucks), take a shooting class - even though I knew it all (50 bucks), apply for the license filling out couple forms and spring through countless hoops (80 bucks + 6 weeks waiting period). Now I am licensed to own guns AT HOME. Any gun has to be unloaded and in a safe if I do not carry it. The only place I can carry it is AT HOME. I may transport my gun safe and unloaded to and from a firing range with the ammo in an extra case. It is practically impossible to get a carry permit here unless you work in specific jobs or have been assaulted several times (and prolly already dead)....
Wow, that's so like the media. Thanks for the background info! I have some Winchester .308 rounds sitting right here, and they are nickel-cased, Lubalox bullets, and guess what mine have as well: the dreaded, heinous, and villainous Nosler ballistic tip! It is designed to make the bullet more accurate, so it's better at "ripping guts out", except these can do it at over 500 yards, potentially even through light body armor! And I bought them on sale at Cabela's and the media doesn't care now!
Man....assault fork....I'm stealing that one for my next conversation. Thank you for all of your effort, ideas and thoughts for gun owners. Thanks to you I am a proud owner of a glock19 and carry it every day for my ccw. Keep up the good work and keep educating the people.
I like how he does it without having to talk about it. I notice he press checks or just outright pulls the slide all the way back on every single semi auto he touches. He does it without even thinking about it.
just want to thank you for the gun gripes series i've been watching the playlist and don't want to miss an episode..you guys are great thanks for the informative episodes and support for the 2nd A.............
Speaking of people buying their first gun, almost a year ago I bought my first gun through an FFL dealer because I had just turned 18. When I went to buy it the dealer could tell I hadn't done that before and felt he needed to explain all this gun terminology to me and basic gun safety which was a pain in the ass. He wouldn't even give me a chance to tell him I've been shooting since I was 3 years old and had my own guns since I was 5.
The Assault Weapons Ban was not an executive order. It was passed by the Democratic majorities in Congress in 1994. They lost the November 1994 elections because of that.
My dad when I was seven made me an assault rubber band gun. Do not have it any more but that was first introduction to things that go through the air. Oh and my assault pea shooter. It held twenty peas in the tube. Lol. Great video as always guys. Have learned a very lot watching your channel. Appreciate the work involved and the excellent choice of content in each video
Great points made in this video. The main thing is that responsible, law abiding, trained citizens who own guns have the peace of mind of helping to provide protection of peace in the community. Peace is the key word. Peace in the home and peace in the neighborhood. They called it a 'peacemaker' for a reason.
I live in Austria an some time ago a person was shooting at innocent people with an air pistol. In some newspapers and I think even on TV he was repeatedly called a "SNIPER". That's not only misinformation but also the media's greed for "stunning" headlines.
I think this is the best video on this subject, keep it up gentlemen..there are a little more than 360 million people in the United States, and gun ownership is at about 47%, that's approx. 165 million people. We are not alone brother
Thanks for the great video and giving the younger generation like me some encouragement to own a firearm. I've seen videos and talked to some older generation who dislike 'youngsters' owning a weapon because some of us are inexperienced and dont seem to know any better. I personally own 6 firearms, and i'm a big fan of your videos. From a fellow 11C
i really dont know how someone could still argue gun laws after watching these videos...i just recently got into guns and am learning about all the stupid laws and what not and you guys have givin me alot of info about not only laws but guns them self...thank you for the sensible info
You guys mentioned videogames and their impact on the gun industry. I have to say that I'm glad you brought that up. There are tons and tons and tons of kids out there who play Call of Duty and think they know about guns. For everyone reading this, just know that these kids are not "gamers". A person who is truly a "gamer" is not like this. There is a difference between someone who plays videogames and a gamer.
You guys just keep educating and informing. The less ignorant people are of guns, the less they fear them and the more we are able to excercise our Second Amendment right. For the younger generation, just keep educating them and remember that most of them have only had experience with what they see in the games; just remember that not all gamers are like this. Great video! Keep it up!
Great Point: "Hi cap" magazines - range issue. I go to the range to shoot not load! Missed Media Issue: online ammo sales - For example I shoot a lot of 5.45x39, it is only available in small quantities around where I live. So a ordering surplus crate of 2160 rounds for about $.13 each is my best option. Same idea as shopping at Sam's Club! Sorry for tying to save a buck like every other American! Keep Up the Good Work Fella's!
I completely agree with what you said at 15:42. That once we experience what it's like to shoot firearms, it is not something we're willing to give up. I am 9 months in, and am willing to go to the mattresses with anybody who is hellbent on the destruction of that liberty.
When I heard Barry talk about the new generation being our future and saying "people like me, we won't be around much longer" fucking was like stabbing me in the heart.

Cain killed Abel with a rock, evil is within a mans heart not his tools
+Dwanny67 thats an assault rock we have to ban rocks
good point sir
I'm an Australian. We had a couple of mass shootings, then we banned guns and we have never had a mass shooting since.
Dwanny67, in that case let's give our armed forces rocks instead of guns. We would save a lot of money.
Second Amendment was not written because the deer were coming.
The lobsters were coming
the regulars are coming
they all want the lobster soup
Hahaha 🤣😂 omg that's funny,. ( the democrats are coming)
The second amendment wasn't written to protect from the deer from becoming overbearing
I feel we (civilians) have the right to own the same weapons as the military and law enforcement.
I agree.
Any gun law is unconstitutional.

Somehow I doubt the founding fathers meant we have the right to a limited cache of inadequate weapons to resist tyranny...
Accidentally hit a deer with my assault car last week.
Better have a good lawyer
So if I kill someone with my pepper shaker, does it become assault shaker?
only if you paint it black and it's a high capacity salt shaker.
And has a foregrip
And a folding stock
and fire more than 3 pieces of pepper dust per button press
Of Course! And remember Pepper is Assault Black! Brrr...
I felt so much safer when bayonet lugs were banned.
All those sword fights, though.
How about the adjustable stocks? That must have saved thousands of lives. Right? Or making it so we can't have a flash suppressor on an AR15, wow that is huge. I think we were all a little safer back then for it.
Who needs adjustable stocks anyway? Women who want to defend themselves or something psh
I bought an adapter so I could fit mine properly lol.
I have bought a gun safe so my "ASSAULT RIFLE" and deer rifles don't jump out and kill me at night while i sleep. :)
carful man ive heard the guns are getting smarter and can open it from the inside.
Rest in peace Barry, you are still greatly missed.
We won't be here for much longer... I miss Barry.
A gun is a tool, I am the weapon
So do we...
RIP Barry. I would love to hear his knowledge and opinions on what’s happened this year.

That's very odd, I wonder what happened?
Did you earn a gun ,now?
Reading this now that you're 22 I hope that you got to learn some of that stuff on your own.
Wow it wasn’t until 16 minutes in I noticed the slide fire stocks for sale on the wall good old times rip Barry
I once saw NBC news and it said "...SHOOTER WAS ARMED WITH AR-15 ASSAULT RIFLE" and I said to myself "Somebody got PAID to write that. PAID. Actual MONEY."
"People like me, we're not gonna be around much longer." BARRY, NO. THAT'S SO SAD TO HEAR NOW!!
Thank you gentlemen, listening to you guys at work is great. I really appreciate you guys taking the time out of your busy day to speak. We all gotta do our part.
And now Walmart won't sell .223 or 5.56, pistol ammo, etc.
i dont shop at walmart for guns they card mfor ammo and arnt much cheaper ill give my money to the m0om and pop shop and can buy ammo no id no questions do have to have an id for a gun of course but i hopoe ilive to see a day where thats not nessasary
In South Africa with super harsh gun laws crime keeps going up and the government keeps disarming legal gun owners.
The media talks about body armor like someone cannot be hurt with body armor on. I got shot with a single bullet wearing body armor, it broke two ribs. The bullet didn't penetrate the plate, but it knocked the wind out of me and put me too the ground, and I had two cracked ribs.

Almost seven years later and getting hit in the feels when Eric mentions Myspace as media.
Didn't even know they were still around.
RIP berry now instead of "body armor" its now "assault cloths"
"unless you do it". That's the key right there. Otherwise they should ban alcohol to prevent DUI murders, ban knives and even ban hands and feet.
Guys, I was watching this video while logged out of my username. I decided to open a new tab, log in, and come back to this video just so that i can personally thank you for making these videos. 13:34 kills me. i miss you barry
Did you guys hear about that guy who stabbed 8 people on the Ohio campus with the Assualt Butcher kitchen knife
We need to pass legislation to make butcher knives harder to get! You don't NEED a butcher knife! You can just use a butter knife for anything!
You guys are great. I love watching your videos while smoking my assault cigarette and drinking coffee out of my assault coffe mug. THANKS FOR DOING WHAT YA'LL DO.

Things with Walmart have changed. Big companies will go wherever the wind is blowing.

Same Here Too Mate!
I mentioned my bullet casting to a friend at work today. He asked if I could make hollow points, because "those are illegal, aren't they?"
Hans S. I was watching a show of cops and they arrested a guy that had a pistol loaded with hollow points. The cop was saying on camera that those hollow points are illegal. I am just wanting to scream at the TV.

Hans S., they are in warfare. ( Geneva convention ). but not for civilian use. So we ( civilians) can use them.
Coty Barker certain states there illegal. I’m originally from nj. U can’t have hollow points there. U will get locked up.
JC Cuby I love it here man have two mags loaded with hollow points

I wish I owned an assault rifle lol. According to the media, everyone owns about 50 of them.
Just like when I tell people I fly c130s and the first thing they think of is the AC130 gunship. Its irritating.
+spike7112ify
Well in the realm of the Lockheed C130s the Spectre gunship is definitely the most bad-ass
True true
I, on the other hand, keep telling people I'm a SEAL and all they think about is that they should probably leave the mental ward
Still miss Barry.

What? I can understand the gun thing, but what about video games/anime?
Copperman She wanted to ban Grand Theft Auto
they did
Assault fork.Haha
all forks with more than 3 prongs should be banned immediately haha
If the prongs are more than 1.75 inches long, it is legally considered a trident. xD
13:37 :(
Seriously :(
yeah... :(
Oof...prophetic words if ever were spoken. RIP Barry.
Great video, I love your no-nonsense approach..I'm 47 yrs old a U.S. Marine veteran and cringe at going to the gun counter of the big box stores. Keep up the good work. Wish you were closer to N.C.......Carry on
"After tomorrow you will be able to buy this fully automatic m16"
WELL HOT DIGGITY DAMN SIGN ME RIGHT THE FUCK UP
soon theyll be banning bows/arrows and knives
If you only knew at the time you made this comment.
and Crowbars!
i wish you would name names. i could use a good laugh lol.
I completely agree with all your statements Eric but I still believe an inanimate claymore is still dangerous.
it takes a person to prime it though
The ideas people can get in the name of keeping people safe and preventing a possible shooting can be so nuts and lacking in logic or proper information.
eric thank you for your continued service to our country
What's also crazy is that some media stations are now saying 60k rounds instead of 6k rounds! Ridiculous!
"7,000 people per day are saved by the presence of a gun."
WOW! That number might have went up since 2012.
"...uh, that's right Barry", one of the best catch phrases of all time
Wow, that's so like the media.
Eric, i like how you always go through "make safe drills" with all firearms on camera. very professional.
1:53 eric looks so serious LOL
Just here for some good ol nostalgia
One of the best videos PERIOD on youtube.
I live in Austria an some time ago a person was shooting at innocent people with an air pistol. In some newspapers and I think even on TV he was repeatedly called a "SNIPER". That's not only misinformation but also the media's greed for "stunning" headlines.
Thank you gentlemen from the Omaha Ne area. Watch all your listings
I think this is the best video on this subject, keep it up gentlemen..there are a little more than 360 million people in the United States, and gun ownership is at about 47%, that's approx. 165 million people. We are not alone brother
Never thought I would miss seeing Slide Fire in stores...
The AR thing and Walmart didn’t age well.
i really dont know how someone could still argue gun laws after watching these videos...i just recently got into guns and am learning about all the stupid laws and what not and you guys have givin me alot of info about not only laws but guns them self...thank you for the sensible info
I usually find something I don't agree or find something to pick at, but wow is this dead on. Good job guys. Perfect video.
Keep it up!
Great Point:
"Hi cap" magazines - range issue. I go to the range to shoot not load!
Missed Media Issue:
online ammo sales - For example I shoot a lot of 5.45x39, it is only available in small quantities around where I live. So a ordering surplus crate of 2160 rounds for about $.13 each is my best option. Same idea as shopping at Sam's Club! Sorry for tying to save a buck like every other American!
Keep Up the Good Work Fella's!
"Assault fork". I'm laughing my ass off at that as I eat my dinner right now with my very own assault fork.
This video has world wide relevance....Keep up the good work!
Love sharing my morning coffee with you guys!!!
I completely agree with what you said at 15:42. That once we experience what it's like to shoot firearms, it is not something we're willing to give up. I am 9 months in, and am willing to go to the mattresses with anybody who is hellbent on the destruction of that liberty.
