- The Nissan Sakura (Japanese: 日産・サクラ) is a battery electric kei car marketed by Nissan and produced by NMKV. Named after the national flower of Japan, it was introduced on 20 May 2022 as the first battery electric kei car from Nissan. It is developed and manufactured alongside the Mitsubishi eK X EV, which shares the same body with the petrol-powered eK X.[2] Its design was previewed by the IMk concept which was showcased in 2019.

I request pak auto companies suzuki toyota honda etc to bring this type of small electric vehicle so that middle class can afford and a true ev revolution can start.
Japanese are rubbish at EVs, Chinese are global champions so you will see Chinese cars incoming MG Dongfeng etc

it takes 16 units for a charge which means that 16*50= 800 and if it gives 140 km range with ac that’s means it will cost 6rs per kilometre and if you compare it with 1 litter of petrol then it gives 55km range in 332 rupees which is more then enough

Difference : 26 lakh
26 lakh / 332 = 7831 Litters of fuel
Fuel avg of 660cc gasoline car : 18km
7831*18 = 140958
So after 140,958 km gasoline car and electric car price will become at par. Given then electric car consumption at that time will be
140958*6 = 845,748
Ultimate cost of electric : 59 lakh
Gasoline : 51 Lakh 😊

If he done research properly he'll b buy a Chinese EV not Japanese who are way way behind in EV technology. He could have imported BYD seagull or Wuling Bingo , the leaders in their category.

I understand petrol cars not only require fuel, but they also require oil changes and air filter changes and also require brake pad changes
But electric cars only have cost of electricity and cost of battery replacement

About Fuel cost or per Km cost calculation must also consider Battery replacement cost after some year. In this video they only discussed about the charging cost. If the Battery is too expensive to replaces. Then this type of car is not that efficient in terms of travel cost. Plus you can only use it for shorter distance. Brother mentioned that if you have solar, then you are running it free. I have an opinion. The solar is not free, you are investing a lot of cash at once to install it. It does maintenance costs latter on and also have chances for atmospheric catastrophe.
Yes there is an allusion that you are saving money by using electric car. But for fair comparison we need consider several possible factors.
If you want to consider battery replacement cost then for non electric you must also consider maintenance cost in terms of Engine Tuning costs, Filter replacement costs, Plugs replacement costs, Engine Oil Costs, Engine performance degradation etc etc. Further it's not guaranteed that fuel will stay at the same price but if you secure a solar system all cost is single time and for 20 years warranty period of solar there is no increase in your electricity generation cost.
Technology has improved a lot in last 4 5 years , Lithium Ion, Lithium phosphate battery packs now a days provide 3000 to 5000 plus cycles, A year has 365 days you can calculate how long they can last if charged daily ! doing it every 2 days can double the life. even after that they don't just go poof and stop working only their storage capacity is declined to 70,80% effecting rang in this case by 20 30 40 km ? This deuteriation can be further reduced by using smart options through software by limiting the total storage to 80% instead of goin full and avoiding fast chargers.
About solar ,All decent solar power systems come with up to 10-20 years of warranty installing the same type of dry cell battery banks give upto 5 plus years of guarantees as well. depreciating the costs over these years still give 90% cheaper power costs over grid power. so for sure you are right shouldn't be called free energy ! Still 80 90 % cheaper is still a lot.

Approximately 81 miles from a 20kWh battery, which is not bad to drive around town in Karachi. New Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV gives only 38 miles pure EV range from a 20kWh battery pack.

Doesn't make sense to import a Japanese EV because the range, battery technology is well behind leaders in China. BYD seagull Wuling Bingo costs $10K in China and imported with taxes might cost 50 Lacs they have double the range and fire proof blade battery
