My husband and I went to Big Stone Gap Virginia and it was WAY BETTER than Gatlinburg.
It's a small town and it's like going back in time.
There is even a movie called Big Stone Gap and the town is just like it was in the movie

I dunno if y’all have been down to Gulf Shores recently but the traffic here this year is the wooorstt! People are moving here every single day, plus the tourists….its insane!

I think Gatlinburg stole their whisky and flavored sugar water from the Kentucky Derby. They've been selling the tourists watered down bourbon with sugar and mint leaves(Mint Julep) and calling it a tradition officially since the 1930's. Though at $22 a piece now, they may have borrowed some of that Gatlinburg math.

So they say. I had two packages come up missing in Memphis and North Carolina. Esty and EBay had to refund me.
I finally got one over four months later. The other is still MIA over a year later.

You just saved me money and time! I was planning on going Gatlinburg, I haven’t been in 10 years. I am going to cancel that trip.
Today the post office here told us they are two months behind. Apparently, if you send a letter to someone in the town it still has to go up to Memphis 2 1/2 hours away before coming back here. 🙄
