    Just saw this video and really like the illusion, so I began wondering how I can best do this with my skill level, and have it be with close-up and street magic.
    1.) Already have the cut card in my pocket and deck in hand (meaning I can do this at any point in the routine.
    2.) Reach over and pull the uncut joker out of the pack. While doing this I palm the cut joker to the bottom of the deck. (An easy way to do this is to have an audience member look through the deck to ensure there are no jokers there, as you are simultaneously pulling the whole joker out of the box and using your other hand to reach into your pocket to get the cut joker and palm. You can even let them inspect the joker. Either way there is enough distraction between them looking at the deck and you pulling out the joker that they'll never notice you reaching into your pocket to palm the cut joker. Put the deck into your dirty palm and ensure that the cut card aligns with the front of the deck, ready to be out jogged, more on that later).
    3.) Use a Marlow tilt with two top cards to place the joker into the "middle" of the deck (it's actually third down from the top).
    4.) Triple lift to pull the joker from the middle to the top. Face down on top and put top card to middle (joker is now second on the top).
    5.) Double lift to pull the joker to the top again. Flip over and put top card to middle (joker is now the top card).
    6.) Single lift the joker again (the other two cards on top having been put to the middle). Flip back over.
    7.) Now second deal the card below the joker and place it on the bottom. (patter might be, "I'm going to show you something that only magicians ever see, what is actually happening. Let me put the joker all the way to the bottom." where our cut card is conveniently placed).
    8.) As I put the falsely delt card on the bottom from the back, I'll use my index to push the cut card out, so it appears that the card I'm placing on the bottom is being out jogged.
    9.) Proceed with the trick as normal, moving the cut card from the bottom to the top, pushing real joker, palming cut card back to pocket, etc.

    • @lightningplayz4831
      @lightningplayz4831 5 років тому

      Ray gave the teaching rights to xavior he said so in one of xavior's videos. So I think it's ok to credit either one of them.

    • @matthewbreitling8530

    • @lightningplayz4831

      Yeah raise rise/xavior's rise are purely slight of hand while this technique uses a gimmick. I believe The Russian genius had another rising card video a while back, that is also not raise rise.

    I know nothing about this at all but i have an opinion.
    If you only revealed the movement of the card in stages concealing while it is actually moving it might be more effective.
    Show the deck with card at bottom- conceal entire deck behind one hand- move the card slightly- reveal the new position- repeat
