This was a great video in terms of its storytelling and insights. I did however wish you would have broken his film down from his college and rookie years compared to his prime and latter portion of his career.
Thanks for watching. Yeah i have nothing but respect for that dude. Straight monster. And whenever he’s done nobody will ever said he didn’t give everything he had to the game
Yeah I remember our scouting report for Russ used to say “offensive rebounder, driver, transition”. That’s where he would hurt you but he became so much more and kept improving
could you talk about which analysts (on UA-cam, TV, podcasts, or other places) are accurate? or what's accurate and not, about them? if this isn't a comfortable idea to post, might you be open to share privately, if you had social media that you share and can DM? I wondered about a scout's perspective on the lots of basketball information- alot feels misleading but I'm not knowledgeable enough to discern enough
Russ is relentless. He's getting a bit of a bad rap because of his 3 pt shooting as his career winds down and he's been relegated to being a 6th man. It's hard to compare Allen Iverson to other players because AI averaged so many minutes per game through his career. But if you go to their prime years and check their per 36 minute numbers and - once height and size are accounted for - you see some very similar per/36 numbers between Russ and AI. They both had a mindset of nobody being able to stop them from putting the ball in the basket at the other end of the floor. Russ didn't have the crossover move. But they dictated games at the same pace and had similar styles and mindsets otherwise IMO. Russ has a screwed way of shooting. I don't know if he thinks he has to show off his athletic ability even on jump shots, maybe so? But he has that bad habit of jumping way higher than he needs and flicking that jumper at the apex of his shot. It is a bad form. Russ has a slower release that he sometimes uses. That slower release, where he just takes a normal jump, is way more effective. But it takes longer and Russ isn't someone who likes to wait around for anything it seems. But if he would slow that 3 pt shot down he would be a much better NBA shooter. He just wouldn't get a lot of looks.
Yeah Russ has holes in his game like everybody else but his production is unlike any other point guard ever. Just hope the general public can appreciate his greatness while he’s still playing

Thanks for watching. That’s a great point. I might have to do a separate video for that. Thanks for the suggestion
Gotta describe the evolution of his game more. Luv the channel.
That’s a good point. I’ll keep it in mind for future videos. Thanks for the input and I appreciate you watching
Amazing video I was already a big fan of Russ, you just made me appreciate him even more than I did before

Thanks for watching. I’m glad you enjoyed
Yeah I was actually wondering this because I was watching his ucla game a couple weeks ago.

are you able to make this series about players you that played w or against?
That’s a good idea. I’ll give this some thought and figure out how I can do this
Anthony, do a thourough scout of bronny james. We all know what he is as a g league player. But hearing it from you will be a different perspective
Russ was just a warrior his under appreciated fasho his jumpshot left him after 2017

Westbrook always played too fast, never won a thing.
