《孤芳不自賞》由克頓傳媒藍鯨靈工作室、派樂影視傳媒、樂視視頻、花花草草工作室聯合出品，派樂影視傳媒承製，鞠覺亮執導，張永琛擔任總編劇，趙建瓴擔任總制片人。鍾漢良、楊穎（Angelababy）、甘婷婷、孫藝洲、于波、麥迪娜、亓航、 鄧莎等聯袂主演。
電視劇《孤芳不自賞》改編自風弄同名小說，講述了一個戰亂頻繁、分合無定的亂世之下，戰無不勝的晉國鎮北王楚北捷和聰慧無雙的燕國「女諸葛」白娉婷之間的愛情故事。
本劇於2017年1月2日湖南衛視首播。

Initially I too thought angelababy isn't a good choice for ping ting. However as the drama progressed I could see exactly why she was casted. She is delicate yet has an authoritative air to herself... Her acting is perfect for Bai ping ting (I don't know know why people alsay she can't act). Her expressions and how she sighs with grief or when contented, her smile her eyes when she looks at BeiJei... everything is on point....now I cannot imagine anyone else for this role.

No matter how heartless He Xia is , he seems so weak n nostalgic whenever he has to deal with Ping Ting, he still loves her so much as his childhood sweetheart. He Xia never really loves Princess just feel guilty causing her death by taking poison on his behalf and took away her throne
And because she had his child. He died in the hands of BPT
He only had guilt for killing princess but not his child.

The scenes at the end was so good. I literally just kept repeating it a couple of times. I was frustrated when they were separated for three years but that scene was worth it all.

Gerbina... I have seen ashes of love... But i don't liked the story of this childish woman who can't love because of her mother's idea, she would be saver. It drove me crazy. 10 miles.. Aka eternal Love was even better than general and i because the Leads weren't so long depart. Empress_Ki is one of my 4 best Dramas.

No I don't, because he evil the drama couldn't cover everything. In his old city when he took it over he kill anything. He kill all the royal family and I mean all from baby to old. In here when his wife died the drama try to dress it up he actually meant to kill her and the child. She was no better either in the novel if ants was in their way to rule over the 4 country step on it, she was all for it.

why do i find hexia is totally different whenever he faces pingting . and this happens when pingting already become beijie’s wive . hexia do not care so much about pingting even from the beginning . but suddenly he become a careful person . very care with pingting . whats wrong , i really need to complain this the scriptwriter . i know this is a drama only , but hei . we need a make sense drama . hehe . just my 2cents .

He was raised as a happy kid and always proud of his family and roots. In one of the episodes, he ever mentioned pingting is his home. Pingting was also his childhood sweetheart. No wonder although he changed into the ruthless person and always be ready to kill everyone who mind to block his path, including it may be pingting. He seems to be a different person when he is with pingting. Always be a nostalgic

In this ep 61, PT has only kept 500 soldiers in the city with her. HX has 300K solders in total. The plan is to lure HX to the city, while CBJ attacked from the back end of HX crew to front, and other 3s can attack HX 300K crew from multiple side wings. Because CBJ only has little solders compared to HX 300K, he has to exercise a lot of military traps and strategies.
On the way to city, HX camped in the middle of the way for a rest. Meanwhile, he sent his fellow Dong Zhuo to spy and check on the camp site of Bailan General Chi Tian. What Dong Zhuo saw is CBJ was fighting with General CT and CT was defeated by CBJ then ran away. With Dong Zhuo witness and CT's loyalty statement sworn by his life, HX now gained more trust on CT, therefore he assigned CT as the lead for his LEFT WING Bailan crew.
Following, CBJ is leading a 1000 solders crew in attempt to reach the back side of Bailan Crew. Before he can reach the back side of Bailan Crew, he has to pass the LEFT Wing Bailan Crew. So he started fighting with LEFT WING of Bailan Crew first. When Military Messenger sent the signal about a small crew of 1000 attacking, HX did not believe it is CBJ because 1000 group to go against 300K military is like suicide behavior. Therefore, HX did not take this small group of 1000 crew attack seriously.
In the scene of CBJ fighting on the LEFT WING of BAILAN Crew, he was surrounded by the ARMOR WALL formed by large size of Bailan Crew. When CBJ was struggling hard, Fan Lu Crew which originally supposed to stay guard in the city was sent by PT to CBJ site to support! Fan Lu also brought PT's message to CBJ: Only CBJ stays alive can this battle to win and can the city to be saved. CBJ thought to himself: PT has sent most crews to support him, which left minimum solders in the City. CBJ was worried about PT's safety in the City too. Meanwhile, he continued and determined to fight hard.
Following, HX finally approached near the City Site. PT was playing Zither on the wall site of City. PT's Zither music reminded HX's some childhood memory. After the music, PT walked out of the City Front to talked to HX. She invited HX to enter inside the City for a wine and celebrate Chinese Moon Festival. HX was skeptical so he rejected first and sent in a group of solders pretend wounded to enter the City to spy and detect. Of course PT already predicted HX's minds and moves. She already set up some Ghost tricks and scenes to entertained those "pretend wounded" solders who was so scared that they "run away" forgetting they are supposed to be "acted wounded".
After such entertaining tricks, HX decided to follow PT's invitation and enter the City for celebration of Moon Festival just one more time.However, after HX entered the City with PT, just some walks and observations, he already detected there are "blind tunnels" here and there. He predicted there are 9981 those blind tunnels hidden with mechanism attempt to assassinate him. He then decided NOT proceeding further with PT's invitation and instead, he shouted: full attack the City tomorrow! PT's scheme was now being seen through by HX.
After returned to the military, HX also has found out, the 1000 small group attack is from CBJ and CBJ already successfully blocked his Bailan Front Major Crew from the connection with Bailan Back Wing Crew. HX realized PT's scheme to lure him to enter City is only to help CBJ to succeed with all the military strategies. HX then command: Left and Right Wing Surround to focus to kill CBJ crew while waiting the Back Wing crew to unite.
Meanwhile, CBJ also realized their original scheme was already laid bare by HX. Therefore CBJ has to be ready for another set up for a Last Stand Battle!

This is one of the best battle scenes in Cdrama. All the fight in this drama was well choreographed. My favorite scenes are Chu Bai Jie and He Xia fights every fight scene of them is amazing. Wish someone could make an edit of all their fights scene.
