Absolutely. He's had some injury issues and he hasn't always been consistent, but there were times in the late 2000s and early 2010s where he had an argument for being the best player in the world even when Ovechkin and Crosby were at the height of their powers. His 2011-12 season was something to behold and that 2009 playoff run was like something out of the high-flying 80s.

Was too young to see Mario make pittsburgh a hockey city. As i got older the rumors of our team being sold became more likely. In my eyes Crosby , Malkin, Fleury and Letang saved hockey in pittsburgh ill be forever grateful. If i ever meet one of them i wouldnt want a picture but just to say thank you for staying

#Mr101 the big three may be getting older but you cannot doubt that this is one of the greatest trios in all of sports history. It's crazy to think if Tanger stays healthy then this season he too will join Sid and Geno as the only three to ever play 1000 for the Golden Triangle 📐 truly truly blessed that we have been able to witness these extraordinary careers.

I went to his first game I believe it was preseason. I've tried to find a video and can't. He let a clapper go and broke the glass and it was madness. I've never seen a crowd so happy when someone missed the net by a mile haha.
Awe inspiring he killed it in the game too but that meathook has been nasty since day 1!
