If we ever get to explore The Great Waterfall in the story, Subaru is absolutely going to fall off. It would be such a missed opportunity to not do that.

My theory is that the Re:Zero world is set in our universe. But it is a secluded dimensional landmass held together by a supernatural or immensely powerful magical being. Perhaps whatever created it wasn't too keen on sharing its magical properties with advanced alien races.

I was kinda distracted while listening, and I haven't read the books. But, wouldn't the water be going somewhere? As you said, something needs to be pulling the water down, and unless something is remaking the water on a massive scale, something should be pulling the water back up.

That scene always raised an eyebrow for me cause how would the celestail bodies of an isekai world be the same as on earth? Did subaru just don't think about it and they happened to look similar? At first I thought that it might mean they are on a different planet rather than another dimension but that still doesn't make sense as the different planet would give a different prespective of the stars than from earth. Idk if there was any cut info on this topic I only watched the anime. And now this theory makes me think goofy things to justify it like the world of re:zero floating above earth residing within some incoprehinsible string theory esque hidden dimension. idk if you have any thoughts on this topic tell me!
