Well done. I am to understand that the headlight connectors on the 2012 Malibu were very pieces of junk. So replacing them may be a prudent step. Thank you for this video, hands down the best I have watched on this subject.
This video was amazing and I appreciate you showing both highbeam and low beam connectors in part numbers this is amazing for Malibu owner since Malibu is completely crazy the way it’s put together
Good video, I replaced the bulbs many times in mine. I know how to get everything apart it's the wiring I do know how to do. My low beam plug is burnt out. I watched your video I was trying to understand which wire is to what. My low beam plug has 3 wires coming out of it but looked up the Replacement plug has 2 wires coming out of it? Can you use crimping connectors on the wires instead of sauter? Thank you
Thanks for your video it wasn't long drawn-out you got to the point and you had very good quality videoing and you explained it very well thanks so much and happy holidays
I wish were here in Memphis, Tn.... I need mine fixed! Lord! Somebody about to rob me blind! Ugh! I like this video! Very, Very helpful! I probably can tell them how to fixed it!😂😂😂
Great video. I have the same issues with my 2011 Chevy Malibu LTZ and changed bulbs on the driver side like 2x this year and realized the socket was melted. I installed new headlight socket and and spliced together. Hopefully this will solve the issues. Taking out the bumper 1st time two years ago was a pain in the butt. I did twice this year and now I can do much quicker than before.
Read somewhere that it might be the relay in fuse box-low beam also act as running lights at 40% of normal power and bulbs aren't designed for this and cause a malfunction. Going out to finagle the headlight again( 4 times this year).....it ain't the bulb....duration of fix has been about 30 days......Use high beams to drive at night...no one seems to notice........
@@5150GringoGarage well all I got was basically to follow the shape of the connector !! my replacement part are cheap as hell but it was my only option for now, I need to fix the headlights pronto !! thanks for the reply

i have a question, if you were to replace the whole headlight set is it simple as just unplugging the old one and plugging in the new one?
Can I use electric tape if I don’t know how to Sauter or have a heat gun??

I've replaced my headlights 4 times this year. Did the high temp wiring fix your issue?
me too whats up that!
@@5150GringoGarage It's a faulty headlight/turn signal switch. Also they sell an entire headlight pigtail assembly for around $25.
How much do you charge for something like this
I have a passanger head light problem on a Chevy Malibu 2009 . i replacement on bulb and fuse and relay.
I fixed both already and it still not working
Where is the best place to get those plugs? The dealership or any local autozone?

Where did you get the solder machine?
@@5150GringoGarage do you know the name of it or price range?
Good video. But what a pain in the ass just to change the headlights out
You this look simple I'm about to attempt it.......
Did you make those sweet ass beats?
On stupid ass GM would build a vehicle where something that simple requires so much work.🤷♂️
I did it without extender.... freaking nightmare!!!!
Didn’t even show the install for the low beam🤦🏽♂️
