I see that tach climbs very quick! I can testify that both the L28 and L24 are real quick at responce (they climb rpm real fast with a throttle snap). Thanks for sharing this video I haven't found many showing the rpm climbs these L28 s have. I have a 1984 maxima 810 with the stock Electronic Multi-port Fuel Inj and 5spd. which sounded happy and wild.. and run really quick with the collector pipe disconnected at the manifold. That was a fun test... when I did it. I pulled out a running L28 and 5 spd (which also had quick rpm responce) from a '79 280 Z just to re-power my '84 maxima should the need (aka wild hair up my ___) ever come along.
I push this car really hard, it's a scrap yard save so I just have fun with it. I do allot of autocross events with it so it has a bunch of suspension goodies my videos are a little behind with my upgrades I'll be posting more soon. It is a 2+2 however I did a little weight reduction on it so it's 2,580lbs so it zips around pretty good. Engine has headers, lightly ported intake, and all the smog stuffed removed.
i will never get over the sound of my L28
