Fascinating panel... and a lot of these concepts (collaboration, technology, vertical integration, embracing change) can apply just as well to other industries too.

Wow! Not even half through the replay but Carol Wallis is fantastic! Fascinating!

Skyscrapers of the future will be modular! A constant stream of flatbed trucks delivering sections of building for months and months.

Why won't you answer the main most important question clearly and consisly?
HOW LONG WOULD IT TAKE TO BUILD THE EMPIRE STATE BUILDING to day in the USA? And why would it take so much time?

Read the article and it was disappointing - overlooking the most obvious - which is that we are a nation not of builders and farmers and engineers but rather simple and lazy technologia addicts.

Answer to this is too much red tape nowadays, to many workers doing nothing but “supervising” and a lot of other things that slow everything down during construction.

Nah I think the main point everyone seemed to touch on was more about vertical integration, if everything is working as basically one unified group its much easier to achieve efficiency vs having a bunch of groups focused on their own best interest.
