I grew up in Lewisville, just north of Dallas. I remember going to downtown Dallas for the first time. I was 5 and was absolutely awestruck by it all. I ended up working downtown for years. They have done such a good on beautifying it.

my favorite view: go southbound on Central, take the exit to I35 (Woodall Rodgers). Come around that turn and all of downtown and uptown hit you smack in the face. At night it's amazing! Runners up: (1.) exit from I30 westbound onto northbound Central. (2.) view of downtown from Sylvan bridge over Trinity (3.) view of downtown from parking lot of Bath House Cultural Center out at White Lake.

Nah, it really depends what part of downtown San Francisco. Financial district and East cut by the new Salesforce Tower is very clean and kept up..
