What he did not say is that most people in Russia make 15-30k rubles per month. Yes, 150 to 300 dollars A MONTH. Average retirement if $150 A MONTH. Many people make less than that.
Of course, the salaries are higher in Moscow, but prices are about the same.
There is a reason why so many men signed up to participate in this war - they were promised a salary of $1500 a month for it (not defending here). Yes they still were scammed by the russian govt and most did not get paid at all or got only about 10% of promised money. While a lot of families took loans to get their new "soldiers" for the battlefield because the govt won't even give them boots. The russian military is on its last leg, due to no morale (they don't know what they fight for, most desperate just to get any paycheck) and all the military funding money being stolen by the corrupt politicians and military command. Add to that the fact all the last 24 year any military funding was stolen and there was no development in the country.

I'm really not a Putin apologist, but this attitude of "hes the bad guy, the personification of evil" is part of the problem. Pitting against one another like the opposition is evil doesn't help anyone. It just keeps us in constant conflict. Most governments want the same thing for their people, prosperity. Why do WE have to monopolize prosperity? They have things we need and we have things they need, I dont understand why this has to be so difficult. We fought on the same side at one point.

This saddens me on a number of levels.
1. The loss of an apparent good man with the knock on effects to his family. Very sad.
2. After being impressed by Putin during his interview with Tucker and sympathetic to the Russian political position i am now angry that Putin has allowed this.
3. This assumes Putin knew about it or ordered it. Hard to believe otherwise.
4. It further confirms even well known descenters can be taken out although i already knew that. Assange, Ritter, Brand, and scores of others proves that.
5. Another sad day, when a seemingly decent type is murdered by state operators. Western and Eastern, north and south. Some (maybe all-,IDK,) leaders are too ruthless for the rest of us, certainly too much for me.
