Colours do pop well on the Sony but look a little blown out, I think with good calibration, both tvs could look amazing

LG always has the best natural skin tone. We always buy lg. Trick with Lg to get the best picture - under any color presets, just adjust the color down, normally we do it at 40, then Tint at G5... And you have the most nearest natural skin color. When skin color is achieved, the rest of everything in the movie looks good. Skin tone is importany. You cant have vibrant colors of flowers leaves etc and the human skin tone looks like they just landed from the Sun.

Now put a third next to it: a vintage Sony 32BX400, you can find for like 25€. It destroys both in picture and sound quality. It is FullHD and has 10 inputs including 2x SCART, component and 4 HDMI, so great for hooking up gaming consoles. And you won't get unsolicited Google junk and mandatory internet connection either.

Looks like both TV's are 720p or that weird 1366 x 768 resolution, if you want to be more specific.

Both Tv's look very nice. However, LG's screen offers a flat neutral/natural image, where Sony brings more the cinematic picture effect. Personnaly I would pick the Sony as when watching the different scenes, especially those with the cinematic feel, it looks much more beautiful than LG where it remains very neutral and don't show life in colors.
