I've loved DIRU for a decade and have their albums and have had the pleasure of seeing them and meeting them. They're songs haven't All been my favorite but As a fan, I will never turn my back on them. They'll always be my idols.

Anyone can ridicule them for what they wear or how they changed sounds or how they look, but to a true fan it doesnt fucking matter. This band and every single person in it is a master at what they do. They have done things NO OTHER BAND has done.
Look at the amount of fans they've made over the years. Not for something they wear or how they look, but by making music that transcends every possible barrier.
Try and find any other band with fans as loyal as they are far and wide.
I actually don't care how they look BUT it's cool that they changed their look in every album cycle, I mean since the beginning they have had many ''looks''. They did the over the top Visual Kei thing, did the horror thing, they did the slick normal look, the Ghoul type look, and now they just look like some 40 year old guys who dress nice xd

Could be Routen no Tou, or the acoustic version. I believe the single contained the acoustic version of the song.
If you're talking about when Kaoru was playing on the guitar clean, about half-way through the video, then that's my guess. Around 3/4 of the way in, it's definitely Routen no Tou.

Since when does Kyo wear a fedora and hipster glasses? I haven't been keeping tabs on them too much lately. Is he being ironic or is he serious? I'm not trying to be a jackass I'm just curious is all.
The fedora was prior uroboros I think, the glasses, I have no idea.
Dirkuroi is right. From what I can see, Kyo wears real fedoras, not Trilbys in which you see most people wear today. I'm pretty sure he likes the fashion of it, and he is pretty fashionable. But who knows? Maybe he is being ironic.
+dolphinclicks his eyesight is actually pretty bad, which goes for pretty much all of them, most of em have either glasses or contacts.

Excuse me for saying that but... What are they doing? This is pretty shity to listen to. What happened to the guys who were real talented?
From what I've seen so far, they'll be going for a more simpler direction in terms of musics; but someone already said that they'll be going to their own roots.

They might just be warming up or getting in some practice before the final recording. The finishing song is really good at least. Or it could have just been a lazy day in the studio. They work so much there has to be days where they are like screw this.
Kaoru explained this as well as the rest of the album in a nutshell. He said that he purposefully made STU as simple as possible and that the album is going to be more simple. And it makes sense. Since Uroboros, the band has been treading into more complex territory and mind you they just recently rerecorded a handful of oldie tracks. Creative wise, they just wanted to tone it down on these recent releases. Die also mentioned that the side projects that the members have been doing are all so that they can take it back to Dir en grey at the end of the day so its likely this simple phase is just short time thing. Either way, I'm curious to see what November brings.
