A Drag??
Dragging is when a rider falls off, and their foot is caught in the stirrup, and their head is bouncing along the ground-
This was a horse just cantering a little, the rider looks a little unbalanced, that is all.
Yes, exactly!!! 🤣🤣🤣 Stupid title.
Must be hard controlling a horse with one hand when the horse decides to bolt
Great horsemanship getting the horse back under control. Even the most steady mounts can spook.
Yes please stop exaggerating, no need for it .
Horses will always keep us humble
Shocking footage ridiculous title, 😮
Didn't really bolt, just being a bugger and it certainly didn't drag him
Sppoked? English classes more than horsemanship issues here. I didn't expect this in GB. We have it in our media in the US! Horrendous.
Fake headline, he did not get dragged.
How embarrassing. He did well to only lose his hat. Could have been a lot worse.
love seeing the Canadian flag, flying with all
the flags of Commonwealth Nations
I notice that one of the Grooms from the Royal Household went to help and obviously the sight of a calm horse reassured the spooked horse . Perhaps they are stabled together at the Royal Mews
I guess ”Jumping Jack” was listening to ”Jumping Jack Flash” 😂
The horse could probably have done with a good gallop to use up some of his energy before going in the cavalcade. He looked to be a bit full of himself to me.
The horse carted him, it didn't 'drag' him. Happens to the best of us. "Stick on, it has to stop eventually".
Think they should at least allow them to do rising trot, horse clearly not happy.
Sitting trot is easy if you have a good seat
He has not
@@charleslucas5930 He was a bit "sack of potatoes".
You are right, in the sense that somebody should have intervened, but unfortunately none of the high-ranking officers that surrounded him could have done that (they are not supposed to do that, plus they were at the end of the parade, exiting the grounds). However...there are stewards around, who did pick up things that fell down (a police officer picked up his helmet) and ran after the horse. In these moments, even the stewards could not intervene, since the horse started running (one cannot engage with a running horse), so Major General was the only one who should have controlled the horse. Luckily, the horse stopped quickly.
@@carlosdominguezsilva8434 Very true!
It was mildly alarming but not at all shocking. The horse napped, he bounced about trying to maintain his dignity while it carted him off under the trees! Two police officers just stood and watched. Fortunately he wasn't dragged along the ground upside down with one foot stuck in the stirrup or they'd have had to stop and call an ambulance.
Over dramatisation AAA. Brilliant control by the rider.
Does anyone else think these events are pretty camp ? I hope he didn't lose too many feathers in his cap !
Personally found it funny! Horses are like humans. We all hav3 our moments. 😊
His riding isn't bad as they are highly trained i would like to see others controlling their horse with one hand.
They most likely control the horse with their legs more than the reins. When learning to ride I had the bridle and stirrups taken off me to learn to control the horse with my legs. They are good riders though it would be hard with all the gear on and holding swords etc.
Why empty carriages ..? 🤔
Rehearsal
@@frazer3191 thank you 😊
@@frazer3191 Yes - King is scheduled to be in a carriage, but we shall see.
@@helveticaification indeed. There’s little option but to take a pass on being on horseback while still fighting cancer.
If the kings horse does to him want the major general’s horse did to him we could all have problems.
Hopefully next year HM will be back in the saddle literally
After all his dad rode on parade into his 90s
It's a dress rehearsal for next Saturday
In South afrika a'drag' looks different. !
After watching this, I'm not so sure i'm impressed with their way of training. I've been in that spot but u can keep a horse from running off.
His riding is Bad
Excellent show!👌👌👌👌 ❤❤❤👍👍👍👍
