I’m with you, Dave, on wanting more depth in the running back room. Hope everybody stays healthy, but if not, here’s another option if needed: Gabe Powers. He played both ways in HS and had some good power runs.
I’m curious to know what Caleb Downs Jersey Number might be when he plays RB because with the knee injury to TC Caffey and WR Egbuka’s jersey number being 2 one has to think that Downs becomes a bit more likely to get some Playing Time at that RB position..

What was Day supposed to tell a transfer? “Hey come run behind the most dynamic running duo in the country also two very promising freshmen who we are gonna focus on developing and TC just in case someone gets hurt, and we need depth.” I understand the question and I share the concern, I just don’t know if there were any Ohio state quality running backs that could have been convinced. Same situation on the o line, we wanted one more but not one more for the sake of having one more.
I continue to feel like JBook never really brings any new information. It's like he reads the same stories we do and repeats the exact same information. Probably mostly because there are just to many analysts and they are all saying the exact same thing. Bidle is interviewing JBook yet Bidle is far more plugged in. Perfect example..."I think we are going to get David Sanders" Okaayyy...so no reason, no information, no family member or NIL numbers. No direct competition...just he thinks we will get him. It's undoubtedly because (just like us) he heard Kurelic and Porter actually run down the information about how it's basically down to us and Tennessee.
