  • A quick look at one of the smaller and newer Givi tank lock bags. Unboxing, a look around the bag and then fitting it to my Triumph Tiger Explorer. I also look at what it will hold by showing a DSLR and accessories in the bag. Fitting starts at 10:35.

I can add that in most rain on my bike (behind a fairly large touring screen), I didn't need the raincover. Today we've had rain all afternoon and I decided to put the cover on (as a precaution rather than because it had gotten wet). It's easy to use and a good fit and clearly completely waterproof (apart from the bottom which one would hope would be OK).

Thanks for the shout out! :) My tank bag performed superbly in the trip to Scotland - I didn't get much rain and I never had to use the rain cover. The Tank Lock is a breeze to take it out and pop it back in place, but you need two free hands when taking it out otherwise you run the risk of dropping it or scratching the tank. Having the carry handle next to the release flange would help a lot in this respect. I like the side pockets in this one, but I think it's too big for my use - even mine was a bit too big, tbh. Cheers! Sub'd ;)

I hope you had a good time in Scotland and got good weather. Look forward to seeing your videos of the trip. I'm taking two days to ride up to Scotland on Monday. Thanks for the tip on using two hands to take off the bag. They do kind of spring off the tank when you pull that lever. Good to know!

Great job Sir, thank you very much from Montreal! I’ll pick one up for my Tiger 900 Rally

Thanks Mike. It's been good overall but I have found that the rubberised coating on the lid had gotten very beaten up on mine. And I have no idea how. So that's the only caveat I'd have.

Thankyou. Would have been nice to see it removed too after attaching to ring

Good point. I can say however that it detaches easily as well, but never feels insecure.

Good review, thank you. Is the interior big enough to fit an iPad mini? My iPad mini is 220mm long and 140mm wide. I actually have a 1290SA, and the massive tank can fit the much larger Enduro style bags, but I don’t really want so much bulk on top, and Givi list yours as an option.

Ronan Rogers . Not sure. I just tried with an envelope folded to that size. It sits flat on the base ok, but the top of the bag is a bit narrower and shorter. I 90% sure you'd be ok, but it will be quite tight. The bag is wide enough for my iPad (non mini) but not long enough.
