It’s a good looking car. Still can’t get past the rear of the new Santa Fe. But would love to hear your thoughts on the CX80. Happy CX60 owner, so CX80 is already on the short list for a couple years time.
whats your thoughts on this as a viable option versus the new Honda CRV? I know the Honda isnt a 7 seater and I wouldnt need 7 seats, but the Kia is a few grand cheaper than the Honda I do approx 30,000km/year and wouldnt consider a diesel, happy enough with the current CRV Hybrid I have for my needs...also much quieter than a diesel. But I will more than likely changing again in 2025 and looking at all the options.
I liked the Honda but they’re just so expensive these days, it’s a hard one to recommend versus the Kia on that basis but if the money isn’t an issue, stick to what ya know.
@@NobbyOnCars It’s an option I would never consider due to fuel costs. At least with the Kodiaq PHEV, a significant amount of journeys can be covered on electric. The diesel would be a good bit cheaper to fuel than a straight petrol and residuals also likely to hold up better.
Madlad Nobby: Plastic leather "there's very little wrong with it". Yeah and there's very little wrong with plastic packaging and plastic in general, isn't it.
@@NobbyOnCars no, use fabric or leather (ie recycle the by product of meat industry). If you don’t want to have real leather go for fabric. But FFS don’t pretend that plastic is the best solution.
The Kia/Hyundai designers don't quite know when to stop with the bling, they probably think it helps to sell cars..maybe. Kinda reminds me of over decorated Japanese cars in the 60's/70's. Perhaps they should take a page out of the Range Rover book...no shame in that.
Not a bad looking thing, previous model has aged well. Certainly better looking than the santa fe or that ev9 abomination. K4 spec must be aimed at the ladies who lunch in naas😂
Great review, this hybrid should be cheaper after the vrt reduction in the budget, you should do a video on that 📹👍
You also have the new Mazda cx80.. diesel v6 👀 and 7 seats!.... wish i had the option of the mazda before getting this car last year!
THAT'S Nice too😊 good vehicle.

A longer 60 essentially. Lovely interior and class all rounder!

Major issue with this car is the 1100kg max towing capacity, makes it useless for such a big car
Diesel is the default choice on the 7 seat Kodiaq because the PHEV is only available with 5 seats…
Can still get petrol in the 7… so I don’t buy that necessarily

The problem with both the revised Sorrento and Santa Fe... Same small battery and poor charging speed as the previous version of this car ...
Mazda CX-80 diesel is another option
They over priced the pre-facelift and I think it hurt sales. Nice looking car tho but I think the Santa Fe will outsell it.

Would you suggest they cover it in kitchen roll?

Yikes!! The price. Toooo much.
KIA V6 LX optima. SUV😅
