I was gonna suggest going to a water-to-air intercooler so you can ice it down before the skid and that should help with the IATs while not really moving. That said, methanol and supercharger sounds pretty damn good. Would love to see it stay Turbo but totally get the Supercharger change.
Great vid from a non hectic and real dude. I personally think you should continue to be the trend setter on this. Keep it turbo and stick shift, try injecting methanol or even just water after the intercooler and a liquid to air. Everyone else has done the blower and it gets boring. Love your effort, skid was going well.
I really hope you're serious about more work for proper skids, I'd love to watch your skill progress with it, it'd be so interesting to see your burnout driving style and how it evolves
A thick sheetmetal inner guard that just pops out of the fiberglass quarters will save all the fiberglass.... methanol injection + intercooler sprayers or water to air cooler.... or if the pockets are deep enough a inter chiller setup that runs off aircon gas basically through the cooler like a water to air but using ac system
Methonal and a water to air intercooler with a high volume fan pushing air thru it will help your afr's cheaper than super charging because of everything you will have to change to do it
Seeing the most passionate drifter in Australia turn around and jump to burnouts shows how much fun the whole burnout community can be you will never see a drift event the size of summernats in Australia it really is the Australian matsuri of burnouts good friends wrenching on cars it's a great family friendly vibe to be part of. Good on guys getting out there giving it a red hot crack was great to see you.
I'm pleased it was only an intake temp thing that killed your skid, hearing it I honestly thought you did some major damage internally but bloody good effort anyway bro.. That tip in was on point...
You should leave the S13 a drift car and build yourself a purpose built blown burnout S Chassis I think the S13 has hit its final form that damn thing is clean and has the perfect swap. LS S13👌. Im digging the hell out of all these Summernates videos. You've been putting in work on all these videos.
True dat. Well hell now that i've thought about it i think your definitely on to something. It would be sick as hell to see that beautiful S13 with a big boy blower out there killing tires. It will be absolutely sick as fuck seeing the only JDM S-Chassis out there in the burnout pad competing with all the other big dogs. Go out there and prove that JDM cars can compete with the best of them and whoop that ass
Congratulations on 60k subscribers and a great burnout, you have a great bunch of people around you that will help you find a solution to the IAT problem methanol is definitely the answer 🤙
to be fair it's a drift car meant to driving forward with air flowing through the intercooler. Unless you're really gonna start making changes now right after getting it finished and not using it for what it was built for...
drifting... all that heat moves away from the car when it's moving forward. Burnouts... as soon as you introduce that heat with no air to push it away, those intake temps are gonna skyrocket!!! an intercooler and radiator can only do so much! rig but, such a nice colour!
The car makes good power and torque, sound and looks amazing shooting flames; so it is something unique and different for a burnout car. What about plumbing the intakes to an ice filled chiller box located low at the front behind the bumper. It could be made so it was removable for other driving activities. Just a thought.
i feel like what ever you do that makes it works would be cool like you said here in Australia i have never even seen a proper s13 burnout car! keep it up bro keen to see what you do
I use snow performance water meth injection on my RB25DET to keep the intake temps down and water sprayer on the intercooler ( both can be iced for extra cooling ). Seems to work fine and there is plenty of dyno data on them. I use it strictly for intake temps and don't adjust tune to it, if it fails or runs empty when tuned for it you can lean the motor. Also worth noting water meth injection is what my tuner gave credit to for saving my motor when a fuel pump gave out.
If your going to use it as a skid car should build metal inner guards that are welded to chassis and just take the rear bar off for skids or have 2 rear bars
maybe change the intake to a better air one like water to air or put the car on metho.. might be ya best bet for ya buck love the build and soumnd keep it turbo .
so as for in take temp back in the rely early days the old boys run a water/cutting coolant mix witch can work in your fave, or id go with a ice or dry-ice inter-cooler cheaper to set up right away and keeps you turbo
@Lukefink ok thought so, pretty high revs continues without decent airflow, maybe a few decent electric fans, bugger, had fun that's the main thing, might not be on next year, after all the drama, gona make it hard for everyone, as some people just do what they want, have a great weekend coming 👍👊😊🇦🇺🍻🍻🍻
Surely try just methanol first, you would think that would solve the majority of the issue. Yea it would do better burnouts if you went auto and supercharged but then it would just be like every other burnout car with a blown LS and a powerglide. What is interesting about this car is that it is different.
Hey it was a interesting vlog at 2024 summernats you are a legend with everything you do keep up the great content stay positive and shibby guys ❤😂❤😂❤😂
s13 needs to stay a drift car as its too good now to ruin and build a dedicated burnout car on the side that you can thrash and get sets off with zero care about damage to nice parts
Bro I think you could kick ass at burnouts you can already drive like fuck have a crack I reckon you could go hard and have bulk fun yeehaa can’t wait to watch get in it 🤙🏻😜
You don't want those glass guards on a burnout car first set you get off those guards are going be destroyed you might want to find someone to fab up steel wide body body for you
Buy a crashed s chassis and put the motor out of this into the crashed chassis and skid that, this things to mint to destroy from burnouts drop an NA in there and drift it still 👌
How did you roll over to peer pressure so quick 😂 I would have said get fucked unless your paying. Commodore panels are 1/10 of the price of nice wide bodied s13 panels lol
I was gonna suggest going to a water-to-air intercooler so you can ice it down before the skid and that should help with the IATs while not really moving. That said, methanol and supercharger sounds pretty damn good. Would love to see it stay Turbo but totally get the Supercharger change.
Got to love peer pressure from your mates who aren’t fixing the car!
Keep the turbo setup, water to air intercooler and water injection to keep the temps way down
I really hope you're serious about more work for proper skids, I'd love to watch your skill progress with it, it'd be so interesting to see your burnout driving style and how it evolves
When that thing is on song you will be a competitor for sure, good shit 👍
A thick sheetmetal inner guard that just pops out of the fiberglass quarters will save all the fiberglass.... methanol injection + intercooler sprayers or water to air cooler.... or if the pockets are deep enough a inter chiller setup that runs off aircon gas basically through the cooler like a water to air but using ac system
Surely a dedicated burnout build coming soon 😂😂
Methonal and a water to air intercooler with a high volume fan pushing air thru it will help your afr's cheaper than super charging because of everything you will have to change to do it
Forget the turbo man and big na and carby efi package ! Reliable as hell no more excess heat it would be hell
Do it,luke!!!8/71 charger on the top of that ls will be epic
Seeing the most passionate drifter in Australia turn around and jump to burnouts shows how much fun the whole burnout community can be you will never see a drift event the size of summernats in Australia it really is the Australian matsuri of burnouts good friends wrenching on cars it's a great family friendly vibe to be part of.
Good on guys getting out there giving it a red hot crack was great to see you.
I love this car more every time I see it. Color is incredible . Convertible. Absolutely love it
Spewing it didn't go the way you wanted on the pad mate. As long as you had fun at Summernats with the family, Shibby brother 👍
I'm pleased it was only an intake temp thing that killed your skid, hearing it I honestly thought you did some major damage internally but bloody good effort anyway bro.. That tip in was on point...
congrats on 60k, keep up the good content

I have plenty of drift cars
True dat. Well hell now that i've thought about it i think your definitely on to something. It would be sick as hell to see that beautiful S13 with a big boy blower out there killing tires. That's not what he's trying say Luke and you don't have much drift cars tbh what 5?
@@Dilze0hthree how many drift cars does someone need?? I think 5 is more than enough
Have you seen how many views whistlin diesel gets for destroying cars ?? $$$$$
YTFB be proud brother you an ya family an friends kicked ass 😎🤘❤️
Good effort mate. Looking forward to the super charger set up. Keep it manual bro. And that air bag thing sounds on. Love your work bro.
Congratulations on 60k subscribers and a great burnout, you have a great bunch of people around you that will help you find a solution to the IAT problem methanol is definitely the answer 🤙
Time to build a burnout car!! N/A cammed LS all bolts ons, 300kw commo skidder 🤙
I could see you becoming a champion burn outer
Leave the turbo setup, it sounds so good, maybe try a water to air intercooler
to be fair it's a drift car meant to driving forward with air flowing through the intercooler. Unless you're really gonna start making changes now right after getting it finished and not using it for what it was built for...
I built if for summernats/powercruise. It was never built as a drift car
Make a Stagea burnout car? Don’t think I’ve seen one of those with a blower hanging out the bonnet.
You will suit burnouts perfectly, driving skills are the biggest thing, love the channel and keep it up mate cheers 👍🛞🔥🛞🔥🍻
That's the plan!
drifting... all that heat moves away from the car when it's moving forward.
Burnouts... as soon as you introduce that heat with no air to push it away, those intake temps are gonna skyrocket!!! an intercooler and radiator can only do so much!
rig but, such a nice colour!
The guy leaning on your door after the burnout stressed me out
Yeh watching the footage back I felt that
Good work! Love to see you do more burnouts! You have the talent for it!
The car makes good power and torque, sound and looks amazing shooting flames; so it is something unique and different for a burnout car. What about plumbing the intakes to an ice filled chiller box located low at the front behind the bumper. It could be made so it was removable for other driving activities. Just a thought.
i feel like what ever you do that makes it works would be cool like you said here in Australia i have never even seen a proper s13 burnout car! keep it up bro keen to see what you do
Such a shame with temp cut be mint to see charger on it and more burnouts to come in future need sum S13 shirts
We had issues with air intake temps on our twin turbo offroad buggy aswell we ended up putting themos fans on the intercooler. Worked a treat for us.
That hood to hear
Burnout car is always fun you need to come to more comps it’s endless amounts of fun!
Time to go RB, I'm sure we can get chicken to build you a soild RB 💪🏼💯
I’m definitely living in the wrong area 🥲. Summernats looks so sick. S13 looking so sick also dude. 👍🏽👍🏽
i agree blower would help
very nice automobile there sir luke

def do pullen spec
If your going to use it as a skid car should build metal inner guards that are welded to chassis and just take the rear bar off for skids or have 2 rear bars
Yeh I planned.to do it before summernats but run out of time
Yes that the spirit please turn it into a full burnout car that would be so sick
maybe change the intake to a better air one like water to air or put the car on metho.. might be ya best bet for ya buck love the build and soumnd keep it turbo .
Dry ice intercooler might be cool.
so as for in take temp back in the rely early days the old boys run a water/cutting coolant mix witch can work in your fave, or id go with a ice or dry-ice inter-cooler cheaper to set up right away and keeps you turbo
Very cool, sounding like it was breaking down at the end part 😢 was still fun to watch but ❤😊
Cheers 🍺🍻🍺🍻🇦🇺🤝🇦🇺😎✌👍
Yeh temp cut
@Lukefink ok thought so, pretty high revs continues without decent airflow, maybe a few decent electric fans, bugger, had fun that's the main thing, might not be on next year, after all the drama, gona make it hard for everyone, as some people just do what they want, have a great weekend coming 👍👊😊🇦🇺🍻🍻🍻
Keep the turbo setup, it sounds so good
Gutted for ya..was going for it...

Unique af rig is cool af
you're the man Luke 🤙
Great burnout and got to do a few was just wee small issues and still got your arches and told off also, proper weekend 🚗🍩🔥🎥🇮🇪
Thanks 👍
Thoughts on FD's "biggest" backies comp?
Good laugh
just put a lsa blower on it and make like 800 hp and a turbo 400 trans
Sick start Finke, looked mad at the start. Did u get bad fuel surge on the tip in? Shame it got got bro. Well done. Great weekend. Cheers
I suspect a sensor issue I had we will pull up the logs asap
keep the turbo boi
Good old Peer Pressure 😂 but yes, Methanol will help solve your heating problems
Can’t you get a water to air intake and run an ice box?
Congrats on the 60k subs to yeww
🎉
Hey it was a interesting vlog at 2024 summernats you are a legend with everything you do keep up the great content stay positive and shibby guys ❤😂❤😂❤😂
s13 needs to stay a drift car as its too good now to ruin and build a dedicated burnout car on the side that you can thrash and get sets off with zero care about damage to nice parts
It was never a drift cat build
Bro I think you could kick ass at burnouts you can already drive like fuck have a crack I reckon you could go hard and have bulk fun yeehaa can’t wait to watch get in it 🤙🏻😜
dont go supercharger man. be different and plus its more of a street/drift car anyways?
You don't want those glass guards on a burnout car first set you get off those guards are going be destroyed you might want to find someone to fab up steel wide body body for you
Just buy another car for burnouts only.
i got a ve clubby without a head for sale real cheap with everything but the heads and diff.
cant be regod
this, S13 are made for drift and nothing else in my opinion and a Clubby would be sick to see on the channel
Run some 17” steelies so at least it’s not dragging everything when the tyre pops lot of the guys run a 17 or 18 steelies
Buy a crashed s chassis and put the motor out of this into the crashed chassis and skid that, this things to mint to destroy from burnouts drop an NA in there and drift it still 👌
🤙
How did you roll over to peer pressure so quick 😂 I would have said get fucked unless your paying. Commodore panels are 1/10 of the price of nice wide bodied s13 panels lol
Yes and no alot.of the commo parts are exy these days
Gotta go water to air intercooler
Uppit!
Dude the cars finished leave it as is and enjoy it build a different car with a huge blower!
Hell yes blower + methanol
Do you still have the old AE86 shell that was at archie? There's your burnout car 👌
Funny enough I wanted to turn that into a burnout car but I got rid of it
dont f;;king care about water temp luke.....you draw a crowd at summernats they should thank you for that
Retune
this aint it is all you needed ,
Blowers and hairdryers are for girls. N/A on methanol.
