Hi Jay it’s Buzzer from the Picos Tour you do have days where you can’t be bothered but they soon pass I’ve had them myself close to selling the bike once over but it’s the people you meet in the biking community that can help if you want a ride out sometime gives a shout
I recently did my first bike tour, 4 days touring Scotland solo and it was amazing, but the come down after coming back has left me feeling a bit meh. I'm sure it will blow over, but riding familiar roads after the highs from my little trip is a tad boring.
This appears to be a common issue for a lot of UA-cam creators. Like others here I have enjoyed watching your videos and would be sorry to see you go. I think the answer is to make the content you want and not to get caught up with posting videos for the sake of it. I hope you keep up the good work for us to enjoy into the future.

I tend to go in fits and starts with UA-cam. This year I have ramped up my riding time and mileage on all the bikes, but have mostly not been filming just enjoying the rides. That said I have a lot of editing to catch up on, as it’s summer I spend the evenings riding not editing so there is a big backlog. Just realised it’s been a couple of months since I last uploaded, maybe tonight I will get some edits done into the early hours. Anyway I don’t recon there is any big negative having a break, I am a regular at having big gaps. Chill and don’t feel under pressure… 👍
I know exactly how you feel mate. I’ve been in that exact same place. Getting kitted up and getting the bike out seems a chore, constantly thinking that every ride you do you have to take your cameras with you and post it to YT. Planning what your next video will be etc. I’m the opposite to where editing is concerned. I really dislike it and the amount of time it takes. I’m recovering after coming off my 1290 a couple of weeks ago, waiting to find out if it’s. Write off or not. And also pondering on whether to carry on riding. I have my 690 I can still use but just not in a position to cock my leg over it. Which ever you choose mate good luck. And I am a subscriber 😁👍🏻

It's just post holiday blues. Took me two weeks to get our bikes out of the garage to clean them after getting back from the Pyrenees. I suspect the experience with the KTM hasn't helped. It's massively difficult to get noticed on UA-cam. I think having the next motorcycle trip/adventure planned would help. I would offer advice on UA-cam, but honestly, I still haven't a clue how this algorithm works and what gets views and what doesn’t.

Man, I've talked about this in my videos before... stress kills creativity. Stress demotivates. If you're not feeling it, don't record. Just enjoy the ride for what it is, and when something comes to you that you want to share - do it :D It's 100% a grind, and EVERYONE'S experience is different. Some grow, some don't, and at the end of the day, it comes down to luck, timing, or some other intangible thing not directly related to the content itself. I've seen it for years. Good luck!
Don't give up. Certainly take a break, do some DIY as you said. If its not fun then don't do it, wait until the mood takes you. Same here, its not my day job, so I just do it when it feels right. Often if you are not in the mood it can show through the video as not genuine. Hope there are many happy and safe miles ahead for you 😎

I feel your pain and totally get it. It took me the best part of a week to feel normal after Spain. We had such an amazing week, and the whole time was such a high that it was inevitable a low would follow. I don’t want you to stop because I love the channel, but perhaps consider taking a break from it. Hopefully, your passion for it will come back naturally rather than trying to force it and resenting it more.

Really sorry you're feeling bad about your UA-cam channel and things in general with the UA-cam world 😢, think you should just take a short break and just reset with things , i for one really enjoy your channel and content along with many others im sure , i think your a very honest and genuine person and the way you conduct yourself out on your bike with your riding and general behaviour, you set really good sensible standards for yourself and its nice to see, anyway I really hope you get through this low period your having with your UA-cam and continue to make fantastic content. I wonder if when you dropped the bike in Spain psychologically you took a negative knock and not consciously aware. When we did Switzerland I had an episode that proper knocked my confidence and I was unsure I could continue I was even considering going home, proper messed my head up. On the YT side I gave up on that a few years ago I just make a video whenever now but agree it is the editing side I like too. I got to a point years ago when I was only going on the bike to make a video instead of enjoying the bike. Just go with your gut instinct, you have it for a reason.
I certainly know where you are at and had same this year tbh, so I focused on other stuff and just getting back to bikes. Sometimes we have other stuff and busy in life and just don’t feel it some days. Nothing wrong with a break. I am only uploading when I feel like it atm so no schedule atm. Been new to UA-cam and creating videos I honestly get how much effort is put into making them and like you say you need to keep content flowing. Since making content I have a greater appreciation for other content creators now as understand what effort they go to and think a lot of people don't see and realise this! Keep up the great work and do what you enjoy. Also a big fan of the Rally STR, have them on my Multistrada and not been able to fault them in all conditions.

Don’t stress it, enjoy the riding and publish what you like when you like. I prefer watching videos of rides out rather than endless stats and comparisons as it makes me want to ride and explore more, I can google the stats.
Recently I was in a similar situation. I lost all motivation and was going to stop UA-cam. I took a break, enjoyed riding without filming and thought long and hard if I wanted to keep going. I decided I did, with a slight change in direction. Ride safe!

Hi loved the video, got to agree i came back in march from spain horrible weather rained most of my 2 weeks, got home parked bike up and didnt touch it for 6 weeks, was just scunnered riding, now back on bike a month and arranging my next trip 26th july around pyrennes down throu italy and across to tour balkans then home to glasgow with not real time scale, im so looking forward to it and going solo, my hate is trying to edit videos dont have much time then followers loose interest, i recently went around outer hebrides & nc500 just to get back into it, sometimes a wee break kindles that passion again you will be fine !! keep up the great videos & RIDE SAFE!

Hi pal although I'm not a UA-camr I totally agree with the post trip blues, after Switzerland I couldn't be arsed tbh, had a good day at work day after was down and right miserable, I'm not that kind of person I hide my feelings very well. Could it be the hight of excitement going away then the reality of back to work on Monday, I'm feeling much better now, but feeling anxious about planning another trip away, I love how you videos come over video is crisp music nearly always is good 🤦 and editing is bang on so keep doing ya thing, see ya knocking about ok.
It’s a simple thing I like the content it may be you are a bit of a perfectionist so the only thing you are fighting is yourself, bin there got the tee shirt. It’s what makes riding worthwhile that’s important and your own mental wellbeing that counts
Hi Jay, with your KTM stress, then the Spain trip, perhaps it’s got on top of you. Take a break, stop stressing yourself out. Content must be hard to maintain, tell yourself you’re not going to ride for two weeks, carry a notebook and write ideas as and when they come to you. There is nothing wrong with your presentation, sound or anything else. I’d say you’re well up to standard and a bit beyond compared to other channels. Remember to enjoy what you do, you’ve now got a cracking bike and you are making it your own. Catch you later

Definitely don't give it up @crazylegs. It can be easy to loose a bit of enthusiasm, bit its only momentary. You like riding bikes and it doesn't matter how good your video's are, if you enjoy riding and capture that enjoyment in your video's, then people will like them. Everybody likes seeing someone who is doing what they love, regardless of what anyone else thinks of it. It's was great to find your channel and an absolute pleasure to have met you in person. Plus, I really want you and Peaky to show me where the Cow Shed is.

i cannot get excited about editing just a normal ride out, thats why i am only going to do videos of tours/events etc. My last 3 videos, i put hours and hours of ork into them to get hardly any views, but i dont put any expectation on my channel now, is what it is. I would maybe adopt that approach if you can.
Yeah always feels like a kick in the balls when you spend a lot of time putting great content out there and they don’t do as well. Some of the crap on the tube get endless views and it’s just crap. I suppose I need to just sit back and accept and just take it in my stride. Great tour vids by the way always enjoy you banter on your channel 👍🏻👍🏻
Ignoring UA-cam, when I came back from my first (and only so far) trip around Europe on the bike, I nearly gave up biking, the UK compared to Europe felt very mundane... It took me a year to get my biking mojo back for it in the UK. Am very much glad I didn't give it up, so much good has happened for me by getting back into it. Give it a bit of time and you'll maybe find that joy again.

I'd say if you're feeling like that, have a break. It also depends what you want out of your channel really, I don't get too fixated on the numbers as it's mainly just for me to watch back at a later date. Personally, I dont like the bigger channels, they start pushing the companies that dish out their freebies. Not what I want to watch.
It can get that way sometimes Jay, just think of my wee sad face if you stopped doing it. I have decided to have 2 helmets, going forward. One with my camera set up and the other without. It gives me the option of not filming if I choose not to. I had the same feeling last year buddy, UA-cam comes in waves, I think when you are on crest surf and when you are in a dip tread water. I prescribe going out for a ride on the bike without the cameras mate, plan a route and get out & enjoy yourself without the pressure of feeling like you have to provide content. See how you get on pal 👍🏻
Keep it going jay. We all lose our mojo now and again for riding the bike, but you bet you’re bottom dollar she will be ready and waiting in the garage when you want to go out. Keeps them vlogs and vids going.
Once you have been adventure riding, off road with with incredible scenery (like your Spain trip).. road riding in UK is not appealing any more. Sometimes I struggle to go out on the bike just for the sake of it. I long for adventure and a challenge! I found this after riding ACT Portugal. You should look into the ACT trails (Adventure Country Tracks by Touratech), maybe look at the ACT UK?

@@CRAZYLEGSONABIKE Yeh, the ACT trails are designed specifically for big adventure bikes like your GS1250 and only require a little off road experience. There are hard sections which can be skipped with an alternate route. I believe the UK ACT is one of the hardest right enough.. but these trails can be downloaded to your GPS and are kept up to date. The Portugal ACT is epic!!! You can see on my channel.. you could even ride the Picos on the way there.. 🤔🤣 I'm in Scotland with easy access to unbelievable scenery, but its not the same and I think you know it. You've been bitten by the adventure bug.

Hi, I’ve been feeling the same Sold my Happy Place My Multistrada so no touring I’ve still got a zx6r but I’m just not feeling it anymore! Mate I know the feeling well, I've been like it all year. I have got stuff to do at home but it has been a real effort to get the bike out and no enthusiasm to go anywhere on it. As for the UA-cam thing I've given that up all together because it's just a load of work and no one gives a s*it and all you seem to get is d*cks who've never made a video giving you grief so I'm just going to keep the channel for recording my trips.

Keep up the channel mate . Can’t see why you’re getting negative comments . Your editing seems On a par with the big guns . I’m no UA-camr but watch lots and your channel is bang on . Not sure where your from but you seem to ride a lot of the local routes to me. I’ve just come back from the French alps and adore my bike but I haven’t been so fussed going out since getting back . Not sure if it’s the fact that the roads and scenery are so good and epic and new to me abroad and then when you get back i think it might just be a bit of deflation being back on the norm . If that makes any sense .

since picos last year, ive ridden mine twice 1st time was ring of red last november 2nd time i got a puncture, its the roads of spain are that good you dont want to ride the crappy roads here in crappy weather 🤣 you'll be reet good, give it a little break and come back when your good
I know where you’re coming from mate. I’m well Tony second year and not made500 subscribers yet. The bit that gets me is you take time to make a video edit it and when you’ve finished think it’s a work of art. Publish it and get not many views and comments let alone additional subs. Some put out vids terrible wind noise and crap edited footage and get thousands of views. I’m too late to the party should have carried on after making my first one 2019. Just step back but don’t give up
Yeah that’s how the algorithm works unfortunately people don’t see what’s put into each one but you will create a community and they’re the ones that are invested in you. I recently did my first bike tour, 4 days touring Scotland solo and it was amazing, but the come down after coming back has left me feeling a bit meh. I'm sure it will blow over, but riding familiar roads after the highs from my little trip is a tad boring.

This appears to be a common issue for a lot of UA-cam creators. Like others here I have enjoyed watching your videos and would be sorry to see you go. I think the answer is to make the content you want and not to get caught up with posting videos for the sake of it. I hope you keep up the good work for us to enjoy into the future.

I tend to go in fits and starts with UA-cam. This year I have ramped up my riding time and mileage on all the bikes, but have mostly not been filming just enjoying the rides. That said I have a lot of editing to catch up on, as it’s summer I spend the evenings riding not editing so there is a big backlog. Just realised it’s been a couple of months since I last uploaded, maybe tonight I will get some edits done into the early hours. Anyway I don’t recon there is any big negative having a break, I am a regular at having big gaps. Chill and don’t feel under pressure… 👍

Getting kitted up and getting the bike out seems a chore, constantly thinking that every ride you do you have to take your cameras with you and post it to YT.
Planning what your next video will be etc.
I’m the opposite to where editing is concerned. I really dislike it and the amount of time it takes.
I’m recovering after coming off my 1290 a couple of weeks ago, waiting to find out if it’s. Write off or not.
And also pondering on whether to carry on riding. I have my 690 I can still use but just not in a position to cock my leg over it.

It's just post holiday blues. Took me two weeks to get our bikes out of the garage to clean them after getting back from the Pyrenees.
I suspect the experience with the KTM hasn't helped.
It's massively difficult to get noticed on UA-cam.
I think having the next motorcycle trip/adventure planned would help.
I would offer advice on UA-cam, but honestly, I still haven't a clue how this algorithm works and what gets views and what doesn’t.

Man, I've talked about this in my videos before... stress kills creativity. Stress demotivates. If you're not feeling it, don't record. Just enjoy the ride for what it is, and when something comes to you that you want to share - do it :D It's 100% a grind, and EVERYONE'S experience is different. Some grow, some don't, and at the end of the day, it comes down to luck, timing, or some other intangible thing not directly related to the content itself. I've seen it for years. Good luck!

Don't give up. Certainly take a break, do some DIY as you said. If its not fun then don't do it, wait until the mood takes you. Same here, its not my day job, so I just do it when it feels right. Often if you are not in the mood it can show through the video as not genuine. Hope there are many happy and safe miles ahead for you 😎

I feel your pain and totally get it. It took me the best part of a week to feel normal after Spain. We had such an amazing week, and the whole time was such a high that it was inevitable a low would follow.
I don’t want you to stop because I love the channel, but perhaps consider taking a break from it. Hopefully, your passion for it will come back naturally rather than trying to force it and resenting it more.

I wonder if when you dropped the bike in Spain psychologically you took a negative knock and not consciously aware. When we did Switzerland I had an episode that proper knocked my confidence and I was unsure I could continue I was even considering going home, proper messed my head up. On the YT side I gave up on that a few years ago I just make a video whenever now but agree it is the editing side I like too. I got to a point years ago when I was only going on the bike to make a video instead of enjoying the bike. Just go with your gut instinct, you have it for a reason.

I certainly know where you are at and had same this year tbh, so I focused on other stuff and just getting back to bikes. Sometimes we have other stuff and busy in life and just don’t feel it some days. Nothing wrong with a break. I am only uploading when I feel like it atm so no schedule atm. Been new to UA-cam and creating videos I honestly get how much effort is put into making them and like you say you need to keep content flowing. Since making content I have a greater appreciation for other content creators now as understand what effort they go to and think a lot of people don't see and realise this!

Recently I was in a similar situation. I lost all motivation and was going to stop UA-cam. I took a break, enjoyed riding without filming and thought long and hard if I wanted to keep going. I decided I did, with a slight change in direction. Ride safe!

Hi loved the video, got to agree i came back in march from spain horrible weather rained most of my 2 weeks, got home parked bike up and didnt touch it for 6 weeks, was just scunnered riding, now back on bike a month and arranging my next trip 26th july around pyrennes down throu italy and across to tour balkans then home to glasgow with not real time scale, im so looking forward to it and going solo, my hate is trying to edit videos dont have much time then followers loose interest, i recently went around outer hebrides & nc500 just to get back into it, sometimes a wee break kindles that passion again you will be fine !! keep up the great videos & RIDE SAFE!

Content must be hard to maintain, tell yourself you’re not going to ride for two weeks, carry a notebook and write ideas as and when they come to you.
There is nothing wrong with your presentation, sound or anything else.
I’d say you’re well up to standard and a bit beyond compared to other channels.
Remember to enjoy what you do, you’ve now got a cracking bike and you are making it your own.

Definitely don't give it up @crazylegs. It can be easy to loose a bit of enthusiasm, bit its only momentary. You like riding bikes and it doesn't matter how good your video's are, if you enjoy riding and capture that enjoyment in your video's, then people will like them. Everybody likes seeing someone who is doing what they love, regardless of what anyone else thinks of it. It's was great to find your channel and an absolute pleasure to have met you in person. Plus, I really want you and Peaky to show me where the Cow Shed is.

i cannot get excited about editing just a normal ride out, thats why i am only going to do videos of tours/events etc. My last 3 videos, i put hours and hours of ork into them to get hardly any views, but i dont put any expectation on my channel now, is what it is. I would maybe adopt that approach if you can.
Yeah always feels like a kick in the balls when you spend a lot of time putting great content out there and they don’t do as well. Some of the crap on the tube get endless views and it’s just crap. I suppose I need to just sit back and accept and just take it in my stride. Great tour vids by the way always enjoy you banter on your channel 👍🏻👍🏻
Ignoring UA-cam, when I came back from my first (and only so far) trip around Europe on the bike, I nearly gave up biking, the UK compared to Europe felt very mundane... It took me a year to get my biking mojo back for it in the UK. Am very much glad I didn't give it up, so much good has happened for me by getting back into it. Give it a bit of time and you'll maybe find that joy again.

Personally, I dont like the bigger channels, they start pushing the companies that dish out their freebies. Not what I want to watch.

It can get that way sometimes Jay, just think of my wee sad face if you stopped doing it. I have decided to have 2 helmets, going forward. One with my camera set up and the other without. It gives me the option of not filming if I choose not to.

Once you have been adventure riding, off road with with incredible scenery (like your Spain trip).. road riding in UK is not appealing any more. Sometimes I struggle to go out on the bike just for the sake of it. I long for adventure and a challenge! I found this after riding ACT Portugal. You should look into the ACT trails (Adventure Country Tracks by Touratech), maybe look at the ACT UK?

@@CRAZYLEGSONABIKE Yeh, the ACT trails are designed specifically for big adventure bikes like your GS1250 and only require a little off road experience. There are hard sections which can be skipped with an alternate route. I believe the UK ACT is one of the hardest right enough.. but these trails can be downloaded to your GPS and are kept up to date. The Portugal ACT is epic!!! You can see on my channel.. you could even ride the Picos on the way there.. 🤔🤣 I'm in Scotland with easy access to unbelievable scenery, but its not the same and I think you know it. You've been bitten by the adventure bug.

Hi, I’ve been feeling the same Sold my Happy Place My Multistrada so no touring I’ve still got a zx6r but I’m just not feeling it anymore! I’ve plans next year to purchase a T7 then off 🏕️ touring again so just buying bits and bats of gear but no will to get out ! Maybe it’s a Weather thing 🤷🏻

Mate I know the feeling well, I've been like it all year. I have got stuff to do at home but it has been a real effort to get the bike out and no enthusiasm to go anywhere on it. As for the UA-cam thing I've given that up all together because it's just a load of work and no one gives a s*it and all you seem to get is d*cks who've never made a video giving you grief so I'm just going to keep the channel for recording my trips.

I always find after tour in Europe I tend to have time off the bike

since picos last year, ive ridden mine twice 1st time was ring of red last november 2nd time i got a puncture, its the roads of spain are that good you dont want to ride the crappy roads here in crappy weather 🤣 you'll be reet good, give it a little break and come back when your good

I know where you’re coming from mate. I’m well Tony second year and not made500 subscribers yet. The bit that gets me is you take time to make a video edit it and when you’ve finished think it’s a work of art. Publish it and get not many views and comments let alone additional subs. Some put out vids terrible wind noise and crap edited footage and get thousands of views. I’m too late to the party should have carried on after making my first one 2019. Just step back but don’t give up
Yeah that’s how the algorithm works unfortunately people don’t see what’s put into each one but you will create a community and they’re the ones that are invested in you. Jay the only thing that is wrong is you’ve been away for a great 2 week holiday then you’ve come back to the shit uk and the daily grind back to work your wife is away so I take it the house feels empty if nobody’s there so life feels shit it’s a job to even get out of bed in the morning and get going I think it’s the holiday blues partly the reason you had a holiday you needed that mate we’re all the same and as for your channel it’s a great channel nothing wrong with that at all I love watching it jay chin up you’ll soon get in the rytham of life again especially when the mrs gets back take care ride safe mate your a great person ride safe mate and bike looks great too ride safe
