    How did the interviewer get mid teen returns from a 6pc bond . I couldn’t follow the math of that

    A better way to play shale is through XOM or CVX and watch as the smaller shale plays go out of business since they are almost universally built around debt and as they go bankrupt XOM and CVX should be able to pick their carcasses for the best assets and then manage them properly and not just build massive debt piles without ever being cashflow positive (otherwise known as profitable). You need look no further then CHK to see the house of garbage that company is built on, great for daytrading but definitely NOT an investor worthy company.
