As I began to watch this service, especially seeing the young people, I began to pray in the Spirit of the Holy Ghost for my nieces and nephews to be Saved and Filled with the life changing POWER of the Holy Ghost. It's not nearly enough for them to be educated, have good jobs, buying houses...but NOT saved! Lord, have your way in their lives in the mighty Name of Jesus! Glo-ry

This reminds me of when we used to have church and didn't get in the way of the Holy Ghost moving or put a time limit on God. Forgot about the program. Thank God for the movement of the Holy Spirit. This is what I miss!
I remember back in the day when the Baptist didn't want us pentecostal people coming in their churches dancing, and making noise. Now they are doing what we do.
Right! This church has always been like this. The founder was close friends with Bishop C.H. Mason (COGIC founder) and he wanted to join COGIC. Bishop Mason told him to stay Baptist and “save the Baptists” lol. They’ve remained Baptist ever since🤷🏾♂️
And now we're Bapticostals lol
In my area it depended on the individual Baptist Church. Growing up I knew of some lively, shouting Holy Ghost filled Baptist Churches. My grandmother was a church mother of one. But, to your point, there were some snooty ones as well.
It wasn’t so much dancing and making noise it was the speaking in tongue’s to stay away from false prophets facts!
We always been doing this. Some Baptist Churches believe in shouting and others don’t but we certainly buck just as much for the Lord

I appreciate this Pastor, take them back when we had church and praised God thru good, bad, unsure, lonely, broke, prosperous, and we made it thru. Some of our family members, friends or whoever didn't make it, but I believe they're telling us to keep moving, keep doing whatever you are here to do. But sometimes take a moment to just say thank you and guide us as a people to do better in loving and caring for one another. Keep your praise. Talking to all people.

I think the Pastor has a Pentecostal-Holiness background so when they appointed him years ago as the Pastor he brought that flavor. Be sure any Pentecostal appointment Pastor is going to eventually turn the church into straight Pentecostal without having to change the name.

I am more amazed by the fact that this is the year 2022 of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ & we’re still having the same century old conversation about non-Pentecostal mainline churches that fully embrace, teach and preach, operate in, and work/flow in the giftings of the Holy Ghost. Did you read your Bible where it says, “I will pour out my Spirit upon ALL flesh”? Holy Spirit is for ALL, not just your church, denomination, or movement. I’m reading some of y’all comments about Baptists & thinking to myself “Where have y’all been?” In a Pentecostal bubble?” Y’all act like you got exclusive rights & ownership of God’s Spirit. He is not a genie in a bottle. Even the way some of you have referenced the history of the church, you sound as though the church was nonexistent until the Pentecostal movement. It’s not said enough, but C.H. Mason was a Baptist preacher before founding the COGIC church. Do you not know that not all the Baptist churches that believed & practiced the teachings of sanctification, total healing and deliverance, holiness, and Holy Ghost (fire) baptism left the Baptist church? Many were kicked out by the National Baptist Convention, but many others just voluntarily discontinued fellowship with the national convention, never dropped the word “Baptist” from their name, and continued to fellowship only with churches (both Baptist & non-Baptist) that either affirmed their belief system or accepted it. The truth is the church (universal) goes through cycles of evolution & reformation. Thank God for the dispensation of His Spirit because the scriptures are being fulfilled - this is the kind of oneness in the Spirit we ought to see & no matter your denominational affiliation, you want to see. Please let’s elevate our conversation towards topics that unite & not divide, like soul salvation, deliverance in the mind, etc! Thanks for reading 😊

All man these churches really have to anointing of the holy spirit.... they can shout and dance all over the place....I mean the whole church catch on fire........ but they can't take that same energy down to where they are having the rap, blues, RnB, concerts ,etc and get those lost souls and bring them to God.....all this churching I'm seeing All over UA-cam.. baptist,cogic, free will , non denominational,etc etc ..one would think they all would Join together and go out and really show the world the all the power they have.........all we can really have church As long as we come to the church house because The ( Holy Gost power) can't operate outside the church house 🤔🤔.. Hell my people wouldn't even get up on the weekends or during the summer and go out and do missionary work/ community service ........ but we will follow that pastor around from church to church preaching to other pastor's members...... for the 💰💰💰..
