We've never seen the 'intake valve' being stuck, it's interesting to hear you haven't had a noticeable gain. Did you have a manual carbon clean or a 'man in the van'?

I'm horrified by flap stories. please, everyone take the flaps out.
We usually do remove them if the customer would like to, but of course we need to install software too.

No noticeable gain for me after the carbon clean. Most cases it is the stuck intake valve that kills the power.
