Feel sorry for Kato riders , most of us only have to worry about getting flat tyres on long rides in the Bush , but they have to worry about complete top end failures .. KTM just ignore it and deny the warranty .. nah mate , don’t know what you’re on about ?
Went to a large ktm dealer in my city and asked what they thought about the cam problems.. never heard of it and never had a bike with any problem like that… yeah right
I don't get it. If trash in the oil would clog the nozzle and prevent it from spraying oil on the cams, wouldn't clogging the filter with trash also prevent the nozzle from getting oil to spray on the cams? If either the filter or the nozzle clogs, the cams don't get oil. It seems like all KTM has done is add another point of failure. Maybe I'm missing something.
It would take a lot more trash to clog the filter than it would clogging the nozzles because where the filter screen is has a way bigger oil flow path to clog whereas the nozzle jets are so tiny in comparison that they would clog with one tiny sliver of debris

Thanks for your effort, man. Do the new filter need to be serviced and cleaned?
