@ eastcoastish - Thanks for the video. Love the Takegawa Tuck & Roll you last installed. I am looking to buy one too, but all sellers are located in Japan, and their reviews are not the best. Any recommendation on where to buy it? Thanks
I need that comfy seat, that is the major key for the bike and the size and weight, best fun on two wheels ...or any wheels ...if you like to explore :)
Hi there, really like all your mod videos! Got a question related to the seat and handlebars combo. I’ve installed some lower handlebars as i like the look much better but on my first ride i’ve suffered from lower back pain. Probably due to the fact that i’m sitting more leaned forward. Do you think with a lower seat your searing position would again be more like when you’re riding with stock handlebars and stock seat?
i gotta ride one of these someday. I've owned a Grom and CT70, but these things are cool. IF you had to pick 1 bike between the modern Monkey and a wild ZS190 CT70 which would you choose?
I have both and it's a tough call. My CT190 is insanely fast for the size and it's more of a head-turner given that it's a 40 year old trail bike. The Monkey has all the modern FI technology though and rides much more like a current sports bike. Fortunately, I don't have to choose only 1 :)
So I noticed your front air boxes are off, I think that’s what it’s called, the black plastic boxes that cover the air filter. Anyways I wanna take mine off because I think it looks cooler, are there any negative side effects? What if it rains etc?
You need to install an aftermarket intake if you remove it, there's lots of options out there. I haven't experienced any downsides and have picked up a bit of power from the mod.
Z50 china clones (skyteam etc. ) seat is lot More comfortable than original monkey 125 seat. Just as thick but waaay more softer foam inside the seat. I can sit 2-3 hours straight on that thing without wanting to stop, it's just uncanny...
man I just couldnt imagine chaning the seat at all. the stock seat is half the reason I chose the Monkey over a Grom.
I would rather drank more milk and grown tall, than gotten rid of that supercomfy factory seat. 🤣 May the algorithm be in your favor.
Looks great. Thanks for sharing your take on all the other seats too. Good info to know.
I think it looks better than all the others you tried.

Most of the stuff I buy from Japan I get from webike. The FedEx shipping is very fast to the US japan.webike.net/products/24145595.html
The size looks perfect on the bike, sir Happy Holidays

Hi Kent
Which seat is the lowest? My wife is 5'1'', so she needs the lowest seat possible.
Thanks for the great videos!
Michael
The Derazer Tracker was definitely the lowest.
Did you ever try the Derazer tracker seat? What did your wife think?

The Takegawa seat is an inch or so lower than the stock one so it would put you a bit more into that neutral riding position.

We need more Monkey 125 updates 👍
Any suggestions on new mods for it?
