Could nvr play live n sound like that. It's like overdubs..2 guitars at once..real synthesiser souding. Too much studio production trickery. Same with back upp vocals. No way that's just Malcolm and cliff. Sounds like 40 voices. That's y they hardly ever play live. Tried it with Axl n it was crap af.
Im a 64 year old dude who grew up on AC/DC, Alice Cooper, Led Zeppelin, and so many more bands, and i gotta say, i love watching your reactions. Good job dude. I was at a giant bar i Hull Quebec, Canada, and these guys showed up out of the blue, no announcement, nothing and played The Jack, it blew me away,. and then they were gone.
I remember watching them perform this on the UK chart music show 'Top of the Pops' in Feb 1980. Less than a fortnight later Bon was gone. I remember it being on the National news, a helluva shock, they were just becoming massive. Thankfully for the band that success continued & grew. No one should ever forget the massive part that Bon played in that.
46 here and Everytime I put on or just hear a AC/DC song..I still instantly headbang❤😂 Hell at a ACDC TRIBUTE band concert awhile back ..I was out banging and getting down way more and harder than some young guys there..lol Love your energy Silas! Love it!❤🎉
Imagine being 16 and hearing this for the first time...that was me! Then I drove my car to the record store to buy a copy of this album. Got home, called my friends and knocked on the neighbors doors of my closer friends and invited everyone over for a listen! My parents were still at work, thank goodness.
I enjoy your reactions to ac dc lol. Im a56 yrs old grandma and grew up listening to them. Sounds just as good today as the first time i heard it. Im firmly in the Bon Scott camp but like all of their music.
Your AC DC picture is one late in their career and with the second lead singer - Bon Scott was their first and BEST vocalist. I used to come home late at night stoned and put on my headphones and listen to this on my bed. There was nothing the sound of the music, I couldn't feel anything, I had just one sense - hearing. I'll never forget what it was like. Old though I am now...
this kid’s generation doesn’t have anything close to rock & roll music - as it died decades ago.. but at least we have AC/DC to remind us what rhythm-driven R&R was and is… I hope AC/DC educates him as to what hard driving R&R is supposed to sound like.
And how fun was that? I really love that one too, and of course I used to play the album over and over but my favorite was when you'd be cruising along in your car or someone else's, and then suddenly this song would come on the radio and you would just crank it all the way up and sing along with it and head bang, laugh. I saw them on this tour when I was in high school and even the short ones typically had extended guitar solos in concert. I can't remember which one, but one of the songs on this album, Angus actually did a 20-minute guitar solo!
Long live Bon. There were some of us in the US who discovered ACDC who were teenagers in the 1970's in Greeneville, TN and knew they were great. Preston Nye, you introduced them to me. Long live you as well. I still think of you often.
For me, that's the best song made with Hells Bells. Always this title lifted me to ORION. I never understood why they didn't play it in live. That's true the voice of BS sounds like a beast on it.
Listen son. I was rockn to this song the same age you are now. I'm 55 now. That dont mean shit. I'm still doing the same thing to this song. in the days when bands could actually play.
Listen to the album Melissa by Mercyful Fate later, it is the first album by this wonderful band and it ended up revealing to us the spectacular King Diamond
Today's teenagers don't have any idea of what real rock n roll sounds like. They have to go back to the beginning such as the early 50's, 60's 70's, and 80's to get a basic idea.
Hi Silas,im a 61 years young aussie music maniac. Can I suggest you have a listen to Iron Maidens first album, iron maiden, and The Scorpions album Virgin Killer.
This is a radio banger. Producer was nxt level. Couldn't play live too successfully tho. The guitars been over produced sound almost like synthesizers. The back up vocal impossible to match. Sounds like 100 voices. Tried it with Axl Rose and it was horrible. Nice studio track tho!
a bit insulting with the image/phonotbrian for this song.. but ok.. bon scott is the only one and the singer in AC/DC.. brian made his own, but he cannot replace bon... ever
As commercial sounding as this track is, Bon had a way of keeping it just "gritty" enough to make sure the fans that typically only dig the B-tracks would still think it's fire.
The brilliant Bon Scott! Have seen them live so many times as a teenager and only ever with Bon. To me the best, have never wanted to see them after he died. It broke my young heart in 1980 losing him.
This was the peak. Back in Black may have sold more and made them "huge" but they were never the same without Bon's lecherous growl and often funny lyrics. "The body of Venus - with arms!"
Probably my favorite track on the album. Such catching lyrics.
Same
Malcolm played the "catchy" part. His rhythm guitar playing was sublime. R.I.P. Malcolm!
Could nvr play live n sound like that. It's like overdubs..2 guitars at once..real synthesiser souding. Too much studio production trickery. Same with back upp vocals. AC DC always bring me back to my first car in the late 70s cruising the lake front
I remember watching them perform this on the UK chart music show 'Top of the Pops' in Feb 1980. Less than a fortnight later Bon was gone. I remember it being on the National news, a helluva shock, they were just becoming massive. Thankfully for the band that success continued & grew. Bon Scott is in the dictionary under Rock Star. At least in mine he is! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
💯
Mine too!!!
Yes
my favorite AC/DC tune, ever.
Same
Third that
Wow,,,,,you did it!!!!! This is my FAVORITE AC/DC tune. 💥💥💥💥💥💥💥👍😎
All the early stuff kicks ass!!!!
So good to see a young person react that actually gets it!!!!
My favorite cut of the album... has one of the best rock lyrics ever...
"She had the face of an angel, smiling with sin
The body of Venus, with arms."
46 here and Everytime I put on or just hear a AC/DC song..I still instantly headbang❤😂 Hell at a ACDC TRIBUTE band concert awhile back ..I was out banging and getting down way more and harder than some young guys there..lol Love your energy Silas! Love it!❤🎉
probably my favourite track of ACDC...unforgettable. Bon Scotts voice !!!!
Imagine being 16 and hearing this for the first time...that was me! Then I drove my car to the record store to buy a copy of this album. Got home, called my friends and knocked on the neighbors doors of my closer friends and invited everyone over for a listen! My parents were still at work, thank goodness.
Had that experience in the late 80’s buying Metallica cassettes as a 2nd grade kid
@@moegreen5760 You beat me on this! Very, very COOL!!
Killer track!!
Awesome to see the young dudes bangin' this!
This album is in my top 5....but their next one...BACK IN BLACK....is my fave of all time!!
I enjoy your reactions to ac dc lol. Im a56 yrs old grandma and grew up listening to them. Sounds just as good today as the first time i heard it. Im firmly in the Bon Scott camp but like all of their music.
The only thing I like, more than listening to a AC/DC, is watching other people listen, and getting hooked within two seconds
Hey Guy...Thats MUSIC....I told you as a 60 y old Guy ...VERY GOOOOOD
This is my favorite song by AC/DC and I myself have had a situation like the song lyrics. But yeah Love it, Awesome, Great
Your AC DC picture is one late in their career and with the second lead singer - Bon Scott was their first and BEST vocalist. This song ROCKS!!
RIP Bon!!! So cheeky!!!
this kid’s generation doesn’t have anything close to rock & roll music - as it died decades ago.. but at least we have AC/DC to remind us what rhythm-driven R&R was and is… I hope AC/DC educates him as to what hard driving R&R is supposed to sound like.

This is fire buddy og AC/DC
I've had that reaction to this and all AC/DC music since the 70s. I can't even name a favorite on this album, they're all so good.
Long live Bon. There were some of us in the US who discovered ACDC who were teenagers in the 1970's in Greeneville, TN and knew they were great. Preston Nye, you introduced them to me. Long live you as well. I still think of you often.
Definitely my fave on that album.
For me it’s a tie between this, walk all over you, shot down in flames and if you want blood!
Let There Be Rock
A body of Venus with arms
WOW late 1979 cruising with my girl , smoking and toking
This is a perfect example of a Bon Scott era song - sing along sing along! BIG BALLS
Bon did this song brilliantly, remember the first time they 'played it' - Ok mimed it - on the BBC Pop Of The Pops - in the UK - Amazing track....
Haha yeah... Your reaction to this jam, was the same as mine when I first heard it back in 1979. So cool. Rock steady dude...
Good to see younger people picking up the baton of ACCA DACCA
Their greatest album!
For me, that's the best song made with Hells Bells. Always this title lifted me to ORION. I never understood why they didn't play it in live. That's true the voice of BS sounds like a beast on it.
Nice to see young folk getting into some great classic rock & roll!
Welcome to quality music
Listen son. I was rockn to this song the same age you are now. I'm 55 now. That dont mean shit. I'm still doing the same thing to this song. in the days when bands could actually play.
Bon Scott es inigualable.
Listen to the album Melissa by Mercyful Fate later, it is the first album by this wonderful band and it ended up revealing to us the spectacular King Diamond
This is great but I’ll go with Walk All Over You as my fave from the album
Gotta do the Let there be Rock album......beginning to end all great
Today's teenagers don't have any idea of what real rock n roll sounds like. They have to go back to the beginning such as the early 50's, 60's 70's, and 80's to get a basic idea.
Back when music was good👍
Hi Silas,im a 61 years young aussie music maniac. Can I suggest you have a listen to Iron Maidens first album, iron maiden, and The Scorpions album Virgin Killer.
Got the wrong photo, this was with bon scott.
It's weird your hands went silent at 5:05
I feel like Bon's AC/DC is a touch too much for a teenager lol... you should have to be 21 and over to listen to this.
bon scott
a bit insulting with the image/phonotbrian for this song.. but ok..
bon scott is the only one and the singer in AC/DC..
brian made his own, but he cannot replace bon... ever
Your finding out today's music is trash.
By the way @silasbailey, your dang cute man!
yeah, yeah, yeah, are you mute
As commercial sounding as this track is, Bon had a way of keeping it just "gritty" enough to make sure the fans that typically only dig the B-tracks would still think it's fire.
Turn the Volume up at your End............Please
The brilliant Bon Scott! Have seen them live so many times as a teenager and only ever with Bon. To me the best, have never wanted to see them after he died. It broke my young heart in 1980 losing him.

Can you believe the critics hated them too . . .
