I obviously don't know you, but have always loved the way you teach guitar. Appears from the comments that you went through some rough stuff a few years back, everybody's so glad you're okay! I just got out of the hospital myself, had been meaning to learn this one, and when I looked for a lesson, there you were! You made it look so simple, but every time I tried to follow you, it sounded like crap. Finally figured out that when my sister was helping out while I was in the hospital, she had somehow de-tuned a couple of strings on my knockaround guitar. Genuine thanks and good wishes.
all right jj.congratulations, here in Mexico,is not easy to get one, besides the price,it's so expensive.I just owened an epiphone dove pro,but is a good one though.
So glad you are back, it’s a wonderful day. Have A Very Happy New Year! You sure deserve it after all you’ve been through, thank you for everything you do.
Over the years I've had middle aged (and older) people who wanted to train at boxing, that they wished they met me when they were young, to be great at it. I feel the same way about you when I watch you play. Thanks for the videos!
Oh yeah man!! I love this song and every other song on Beggars Banquet. Thank you for sharing this awesome tune. But even more, I’m so glad to see you on the guitar and feeling better!!
So glad you're back! I don't know you. You don't know me but I speak for many, many people when I say I love you and I love what you do here! Thank you! Feel better!
Awesome, your back! Glad your feeling better. I have been playing for two years and have learned so much from your videos. Especially all of those funky chords. Rock on James and Happy New Year!
I´m a totaly mess with the guitar but, but I had learned and progress so much with you this last two years following privetricker and here. Thanks so much for your generosity. so didactic.
Thanks for saying Appalachian right. I always have to tell people If you pronounce it App-a-Lay-Cha I'm gonna throw an Apple-Atcha! Glad to see you back to doing what you do best! Keep 'em coming
You have nailed this one. Sounds such a simple campfire singalong to simple ears but with nearly all KR acoustic numbers the kill is in the detail. The difference between winging it and loving the music. Like your Prodigal Son vid, you just put this to bed. Nice.
Jimmy Jim, Your arms got skinny skin! Holy crap somebody buy him a milk shake! We did this on "Dick Stacy's Country Jamboree" when I was a kid. We got the ham hook off of stage left, and they started an elaborate audition process so no other hippies could sneak in. Glad you're back.
Glad to see another posting from you JJ keep up the good fight my brother and the lessons coming!!!!! Happy New Years to you and your wife! May y’all be blessed through out the year✌🏻
Welcome back JJ!! Just traded my 06 AVRI 1962 Custom Surf Green Tele and 09 Charvel USA Wildcard No 2 and picked up 04 Hummingbird😍😍😍 Down to 7 Electrics-2 Basses-1 acoustic= simplification!!! Kinda I guess lol! Not bad for 40 years of playing( since I was 11) Glad your better!!!
Anche su questo clip video voglio ringraziarti per il tempo che metti a disposizione per tutti e ti faccio gli auguri di buon inizio anno 2019 tante buone cose. Max
Yeah I hugely appreciate your lesson, thanks, this is the first one I found, and yes a great song. (I'm also glad the "first finger on the sixth string third fret, the second finger on the second fret fifth string..." style is Not used!)
"Pull your socks up, put your suit on Comb your long hair down." Geezes, what would have I give to be in that room, when Keith & Mick were piecing the lyrics together for this gem?
Wow! What a great "comeback" song for you, James! It's one of the Stones' brilliant, unappreciated masterpieces - a great, clever and humorous English take on American country-blues. Those lyrics! I've loved this song for as long as I can remember, and I didn't think anyone else ever noticed it. Keith's guitar, Nicky Hopkin's piano, Brian's wonderful harmonica...and of course, Mick's great vocal...what a song! It showed that the Stones certainly were an amazing band. Thank you for the tutorial. I don't know that I would've tackled this on my own, but you make it look (relatively) easy for a (relative) beginner like myself. Hope all is well with you, and Happy New Year :)
Good to see you in good form and playing away. Go Sabs! I just bought a humming bird in, close to the same color as your, did not realize it until this Vid. I think mine is a bit more salmon. Is that a hocked bruise?
I always thought that song was in Open D for the very reason you stated. I never tried to learn it for that reason. Got a cheap guitar and too many back and forth between standard to alternate tunings break my strings (usually high E). Maybe its how I string 'em. Thanks for the video. Lots easier than I thought.
Welcome back and thoughts and prayers are with you! What happened to "Hey y'all" at the opening of every one of your videos. It's been there forever, and now it's gone!

I've owned two other Hummingbirds, but this one is by far the best one. I got such a good deal on it, I almost felt guilty. Almost. :)
all right jj.congratulations, here in Mexico,is not easy to get one, besides the price,it's so expensive.I just owened an epiphone dove pro,but is a good one though.
