Bach's fugues are indeed difficult but really enjoyable. Personally, the biggest difficulty was in understanding the piece, which totally killed my brain😂

i love fugues, but i really can't play them yet. i can play that prelude, but i wonder why it's played so fast. in fact, why is so much Bach music played so fast these days? i think the music has a lot to say that just gets lost if it's only a waterfall of notes....

The tempo he played was reasonable. Don't fall into the intermediate pianists trap of thinking everyone who plays quickly is doing so arrogantly. The purpose of this piece is harmony and voice leading, going too slow meanings you would heard the top voice as a melody, and you would miss out on the voice leading.
