Some didn’t like him because he wouldn’t sell our water, Belle Isle etc. He also made people how worked for city, live in the city. I love it! Nobody is perfect, even the people in the comments.

He made people work in the city live in Detroit because he's a black racist.

What about the high crime, corruption and decay of the city under his watch? That's what I've known of him. But I am honestly wondering about the other side of the story.

Hit 8 mile...white flight began, never recovered, then early 90's had black flight and there you have what you have now....never coming back and please, don't tell me about the new downtown 🙄🙄🙄....Get outside of that area and it's still a dump, has been a dump and will ALWAYS be a dump...PERIOD😡

It's was an expression of our frustration. All these detractors fail to mention that he put a stop the sinceless murder of Detroit citizens. By way of the "S.T.R.E.S.S." program.

I’m sorry channel 4, but you all erred. In 1930, the honorable Coleman Young was not 18, he was 12. He was born in 1918. Fact check.

To bad you gave the G rated version of Detroit’s first true blk gangster. His ties to organized crime

You're right. He told detroiters to turn in family and friends if they were breaking the law. But his own family were pushing drugs and he seemed to look the other way. Not good leadership.
