Hey man, just discovered your channel. You already won me with 0:25 :D Just to add something from myself, follow-points do matter but it also depends on what the player is used to. I never paid any attention to follow points in-game simply because, in my opinion, there are better ways of predicting next circle placement. This, though, changed when I started learning EZHD. They hold so much information and you can utilize their full potential by customizing their animation. Follow points, together with other forgotten parts of the skin like hit lighting, are really important and we should encourage new players to use them.
I used to mess around with follow points but never able to make a perfect one for myself. Mainly because the last object of previous combo doesn't have follow point to the first object of a new combo, which fucks up the consistent reading.
I actually figured this out the moment I went from default. I realized the follow points were missing in all skins up until I found yugen. Even then the yugen skin felt too cluttered since I felt it stayed too long. I ended up editing the followpoint for hours until I got a laser zap type of follow point(basically just zooms to the next circle with no trail, it basically hits the next circle just before you would click it) this improved my HD play like ALLOT until i got to fast star jumps and it went to hell. I still use the same follow point but been wanting to change it, might try this.
I use shiges follow points because when I use the other pro skins I feel like my aim is more jumpy and out control with how much faster they are popping in and out. When I use shiges some of the follow points stay in place but when it comes to reading it never really been a problem.
i'm close to lookin into trying to get a grip on making my 1st skin the mixing of skins the last three years has help to r/osuskins (given most just mix Cyperdarks to death oh man) to RK, shikima, cloudkeyz and many others who's skins are amazing! and inspirational even. i'll DL retro skins too for old skinning cue's, I remember playing in 2012/2013 short but the SFIV map is nostalgic to me to where now with Cyperdarks skins kinda being the "standard" of skins kinda sorta anywho good video I'll experiment with followpoints hopefully make something decent! i agree for the most part that they're preference, i switch between skins that have followpoints and that don't as well, i just wanted to point out the bonuses of using skins with proper followpoints
After this video, I just realized my main skin has follow points that stay on slightly longer than when I click the circle... how have I not noticed this?

Shigetoras skins are guilty of this, whenever I download one of his skins I have to replace it's followpoints with another skins.
