    My husband had a reversal 13 months ago, and I am due in 2 weeks with our first reversal baby (baby #4). I have to thank you because watching the video you and your husband posted about this topic on your old channel really helped in our discernment process. Thank you for sharing your story and inspiring others ❤

    Laura, I prayed for you in mass this morning. I want to share what our priest said today in his homily. In speaking about his dream that the church would be filled with so many priests that we don’t know what to do with them and so many children that you are tripping over them, he spoke about people not wanting to have children or more for various reasons, especially for financial reasons. He said, remember that God’s generosity is always more than your sacrifice. It just touched my heart so much because it is a beautiful reminder that our sacrifices are meaningful. It has been hard on us having a 4th child (I am pregnant and due in December), but this is hopeful.

    What a wonderful video, Laura, so hopeful! I needed this - am 44, in a difficult marriage, with endometriosis, suboptimal fertility, and almost losing hope for a second little miracle. Even after 11 years a reversal can work. I am 40. It did for us. We were blessed in February with our baby after two second trimester miscarriages. I do have to say that we did use supplements to boost supply and increase motility. We didn't use it for 7months and didn't get pregnant. The month the supplement was started we got pregnant. Also was used in the two previous pregnancies.

    I'm happy for the update on this topic. It's the reason I started following you. I have had crippling sterilization regret for four years now. I told my husband, but he is adamant he does not want more children. He also had complications with his vas and is not comfortable pursuing another procedure. I feel like I can't press that because it's his body. Still, I believe there are more children meant for me. It's very painful.

    • @user-ks3qr5fk6m
      @user-ks3qr5fk6m День тому +2

      Pray that he may consider doing the surgery but the sin of sterilization has physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual consequences. The Church does not require anyone to have a reversal surgery, but you may offer up your pain and suffering as reparation or penance for (perhaps) encouraging him or remaining silent (sin of omission). Don’t lose hope. Don’t ask your husband for the reversal, ask God to put it on his heart. Men don’t like being told what to do, and if you “nag” he may resist your request. Pray for his conversion if he is unrepentant. The biggest concern is his soul, not whether or not he gets the reversal surgery.

    Not Catholic, i use an implant. I have pmdd and would be divorced, alone and have no relationship with my children MONTHLY if i had a cycle. I'm abusive when i have a cycle.
    I COMPLETELY agree that nobody goes to their death beds wishing they had less kids. My husband and I say "you regret the kids you don't have, not the kids you have". We have a 13, 4 and one year old. And we'd love to have more. Praise Jesus, we don't "try" to have kids. I get my implant removed for the purpose of getting pregnant and we succeed instantly.
    Not saying that to be insensitive. But we co-create life with God. There are no accidental children. His timing is perfect and He makes no mistakes.
    Still praying for you! And wondering if a second reversal is a thing.

      Sister, you sound like a Protestant Christian, I must inform you that many forms of birth control like the pill, patch, injections and IUD are abortifacients because they thin the lining of the uterus so that the fertilized egg cannot implant or simply create a toxic environment so that the fertilized egg cannot survive and be “expelled”.

      @@ssh6414 Thank you for the prayers. I'm so sorry the medical field has failed you. Our menstrual cycle, including PMS, is our 5th vital sign. PMDD likely means your hormones are imbalanced and you need to fast and do other things to correct that, in order to protect your health in the future.
      I suggest listening to Dr Mindy. She's a big advocate for women's health.
      Also, you may enjoy FemmeHead. She talks a lot about natural ways to space children and recovering from the toxins found in IUDs. Please look into the abortive aspects of IUDs as well.
      All Christians, all sacramental marriages, are ordained by God (see Genesis) to be procreative. And only God decides this number. Natural methods still allow for God to be ultimately in control.
      I will pray for your discernment and for healing from PMDD. That's a heavy cross, and yet there are ways to cope and heal. So much of the mindfulness training I've been doing has helped me approach my own PMS with compassion and self-care.

      Many types of contraception have the potential to be abortifacients. It use to be that all Christians churches taught that contraception was sinful. These contraceptives include IUDs, copper IUDS, pills, patches and injections. First, many of them prevent or delay ovulation. If that doesn’t work, and you do ovulate, some of them dry out or thicken the cervical mucus so that the sperm cannot reach the egg. If that fails, and the sperm does reach the egg, then a baby is conceived. Finally, depending on the contraceptive, two things can happen. It thins out the uterine lining so that the baby cannot attach to the wall and is “expelled” from the uterus OR the uterine is made “inhospitable” and the baby dies and is expelled.
