That's exactly what I do, however, I add a drizzle of Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
That's a nice piece of fish.
In a way im glad yt shorts i hate 30 min vida just to see how grilled food looks like lol
That its sow yummy😍😍😍
Is lard the best grease for my grill ? Or should i use olive oil ?
I typically use vegetable oil. I bring out a little bowl with oil, tongs and some paper towel. I pinch the paper towel with the tongs and dip it in the oil. I then lightly season the grates. This has worked wonderfully for me.
Lard is better for higher temperatures. Olive oil is better for lower temperatures
There well done
Minimal way of cooking and delicious
Agreed. I do salmon many different ways, but this is perfect in a pinch for busy workday dinners.
I was not complaining, just speaking for my self, yours look delicious,,I even like the way the bears eat it raw.
I do entire carcass w/out head add lemon, dill onion,s&p,olive oil...
🎉🎉🎉🎉Some pieces doesn't need to be fancy.
I completely agree. I make this fish, many different ways, but this version is perfect for a quick hot meal on a weekday. Thank you.😊
The fact that he flipped the salmon. Face palm.
what the hell do you mean? not every single way to cook salmon is the same. some ways require just developing a crust on the skin and steaming the top until its done. and some recipes require flipping it on both sides so stop acting like you know every single thing about salmon and go learn from your mom instead of acting rebelious and thinking you know how to cook everything while you dont even know how to make instant ramen.
Only way on a 500 grill without burning one side. Unless you want to build a plank and that defeats the purpose of the video. A fast, easy salmon.
No season?
I make salmon about 30 different ways. Sometimes it’s with dill, sometimes different versions of my barbecue rubs, sometimes with honey or maple syrup for a little sweetness . For this video, I wanted to show that something as simple as a bit of salt, pepper and lemon can do the trick with a good piece of fish. I grew up in the Azores, Portugal, where very often fish was cooked with only salt and it was incredibly delicious. Just my take, but I respect your opinion if this isn’t for you.
❤❤❤❤
Nice :)
That shit burnt
🔥
My problem it always breaks apart when I flip 😂
Make sure to season the grates very well and use two spatulas. It helps. It’s broken on my before as well. Still tasted good, though. 😃
@@Photosandfood ok thanks and pretty much each side 5 min i tend to always over cook it
@@waltpghbut what’s crazy is that if you were to over cook it, easier it will be to flip without it breaking 😂
What souce do u serve with it
Eat!
Imagine this!! Who woodah thunk it? Fish and fire..
Many people new to cooking or just trying new things may not have tried this yet. This is obviously not rocket science, but I like sharing easy recipes.
I literally eating it right now
That barbecue is impressive +1 sub
💥🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟💥
Nice fucking flip MAN-$$$
I learned nothing by watching this video
I completely respect that you feel that way. My hope was that between showing the simple process on screen and explaining what I did in the description, it might be informative for folks who tend to cook less or are afraid to cook. All the best.
what kind of salmon is that.. the color is sad looking.
It was what I had access to that day and was somewhat affordable. It was still pretty decent. I see from your account name that you’d probably have access to some amazing salmon. All the best.
@@Photosandfood yes i am in alaska how ever i am in interior alaska so not always the best sea food.. we are also fish snobs yes i can agree.. but i was ultimately curious what kind that was.
@@outdoorsalaska ah, got it. It’s farmed Atlantic, salmon, from Norway.
Maybe the meat tastes better grilled than pan but pan is superior for crispy skin
....next time don't grill the limes ...I had to look away in disgust like wtH is this man doing noooooooooo
@@dawnofthedead1285 like it fresh myself gives it that fresh vibe ...cooked :/
But grilling citrus make it extra juicy and it’s common to use it in cocktails, so 🤷🏻♀️
Thanks for sharing nothing 😂JP
🎉🎉
If you’re referring to instructions, please visit the description (from the three dots on the right if you’re on mobile). If you just hate what I made, then… sorry I guess? 😂
You burnt it 😅
We didn’t feel that way. It was quite moist inside. But I respect your personal preferences.
The skin was burnt not the salmon. And you could even argue that he made the skin crispy and taste better.
@@BMoney77If you burned your hand would your hand not still be a human hand? Burned skin on salmon is still burned salmon. I think we’re just talking about the differences between 1st, 2nd and 3rd degree burns.
At least it wasn’t blackened. Blackened foods were created when the first cook burned the food for the first time. And people pay extra for a mistake. 😀
do you even know what a char is LawLessRaafay? this isnt burnt, its flavor and i dont think you understand what a char adds to meat. it adds a smokey hint of charcoal to enhance the flavor so dont talk about it being burnt. you dont know anything about cooking. a good char adds a good flavor expecially on the grill so be quiet acting like your some professional chef.
Same with you. dont think that you know what burnt means. this isnt burnt salmon, its just flavor enhanced.@@MovieMakingMan
Dry
What kinda of bull 💩
Why would you put limes on a salmon? Please use lemon.
Quemado 😂
Over cook.
Yes it looks good I just like my sea food cook light,I will still eat it.
@@jonniemartin8282 I agree with you. I prefer it a little less myself. The family however likes it more done. This version kept us all happy. 😃 Tale care.
To each their own....like I start mine off skin side up and end with the skin side down. That way I can remove the flesh from the skin and get straight to serving
Quemado!!!😅😅😅😅
No flavor.
We enjoyed it at our home, but I respect your opinion if it’s not your cup of tea.
Why don't you have parchment paper on your cookie sheet? Half cup maple syrup half cup Superior light sauce two cloves of garlic marinade for a couple hours barbecue for 4 minutes low and slow probably more interesting than salt and pepper with some lemon🥱
I have actually cooked salmon with maple syrup and garlic and many other ingredients and other techniques. You are correct, it tastes great. Having said that, I was simply showing folks that it can be as simple as salt and pepper if they’re a bit scared of cooking. Many foods are delicious when kept simple, salmon being one of them. I do respect your opinion.
Q merda
🥱🥱🥱
I do understand that it may not look exciting or be your cup of tea, but the point of this post is to show folks that you can get a nice hot meal on the table half an hour after arriving from work. I respect your opinion, but we do rather enjoy this meal. Plus, it’s not processed, which is always a win in my books. All the best.
Burned!!
May look like that in the video, but it was perfect on the inside in my humble opinion.
while yes, it does look good. your missing every component to good salmon like black pepper, and lime juice. see, here you only put it on high flame for 2 hours meaning you completely burnt the skin and thats the best part of the salmon. you want a crispy golden brown crust unlike this, its just burnt to a crisp. who wants a black ashy piece of salmon like this? its just sad that you wasted this great piece of salmon by burning the hell out of it and now its ruined. not only is the skin burnt but actual flesh isnt even cooked because you didnt use the wrist puncuation method where u press ur wrist on the left part by the tendon and then press the salmon, if the salmon releases the same way your wrist does, it is done. and you clearly didnt finish cooking it. i know because the way the top looks and its color is what the inside should look like and if the top looks like that then the inside must be raw so make sure you use the wrist punctuation method otherwise it will be raw like i said. also another thing is that the skin is completly burnt and just wasted. it should be golden brown and crispy and not burnt to a crisp. no one wants charcoal and ashes in their mouth. plus salmon is boring on its own so you should put it in a curry so it doesnt taste like unseasoned chicken that your grandma makes.
If you think you need to put in curry maybe you should be eating salmon…
Dislike button ✅
Fair enough. I respect that. I make food my family and I enjoy and then share some of those on here. I totally get that some folks may not like what I like. 👍
Hey just tried this. Although no timing in video, i figured it out and It came out delicious! Also used a lemon , didn't have a lime. Thanks for the video!
Well if u figure out the timing. Let us dummies know...Please. 😁
@@abraamchavarria9473I put mine in for 2 hours but it came out charred. So I’m going to keep reducing the cook time by 5 minutes each time before I get it just right.
Hi there, in my personal opinion, UA-cam has failed with this feature. I almost always add directions or tips in the description of the video as I did this time. But if you’re on mobile, it’s not that obvious how to get there unfortunately. If you hit the three dots on the top right hand corner, and then description, you can see some instructions. Apologies, and I hope this helps.
@@Photosandfoodah!! Thanks
